A/N: Hello everyone, I present to you a shorter than usual chapter than today. I hope you'll enjoy it nonetheless. Written for Day 21- "A hint of jealousy", enjoy! :)
The bastard had bailed on him. Once again. Aw, man, every day he just trained under Kakashi aaaand he was getting home at late hours like today and he really missed the good ol' times. He entered his home pouting. Yes, the Hokage in training, twenty two of age, was pouting. He and Sasuke had finally gotten closer than ever after his return, just for everything to change during the past half a year.
"Honey, I'm hooome!"
"You're such a dork," Sakura playfully shouted back. Her reply made him smile like an idiot. Right. She was always here. Okay, after work, but she was here when it mattered.
Just as he turned the corner and entered the kitchen, he was met by Sakura's rueful smile. She must have figured the bastard had pushed their meeting again.
"Home early?"
"Yeah, he had to cancel for the second time this week. Something about waterproofing within the apartment."
She touched his shoulder and seeked his eyes. "Hey, you know how these things go. Kami knows how much of our time was spent on our apartment's guttering faults, remember?"
He did.
He sighed and plopped down onto the chair. "I know, I know, but I still miss the times we would hang out after work and all," he finally confessed. She took a seat next to him.
"That's how life goes. You know, when we started dating, you also had less time to meet him."
"Right…"
"Hey, we should be happy for them don't you think?"
"I am, I fucking am. For the love of Kami, he had been trying so hard to talk to her and apparently she thought that I put him up to it! For a freaking year!"
Sakura laughed. "Serves him right."
This remnant of bitterness in his girlfriend's voice made Naruto grin. He pinched her cheek. She swatted his hand away and served him the death glare. His smile only widened. Her eyes finally softened. Here we go! I won this round!
"Have you eaten?"
"Yeah, you?"
She nodded. Most of the days they were too busy to even enjoy dinner at home. Cooking was a pain in the ass. She would usually make something, leaving him to clean up. And when they did that, they barely had time together left at the end of the day. It was either take-out or free food from the office for them.

As they both laid splayed on the bed, he felt Sakura shift all of a sudden. She raised herself on her elbow underneath the covers, green eyes shining with mirth. Naruto was sure that he looked at her face like a fully smitten fool. She tapped her pointer finger against his chest accusingly.
"You know what? I think someone is jealous."
"Me?!"
"Mhm," she murmured, placing her thigh over his waist. Ah, he couldn't think straight anymore, and groaned. Their faces were inches apart. "I think you are jealous that Hinata-chan stole Sasuke-kun from you," she whispered, barely able to contain her smile.
Nah, he can't let her win this one.
He flipped them over and pinned her down, his fingers brushing her skin just under the hem of her crop top. "You know what, Sakura-chan?" She sighed and arched her back into his touch. He nearly forgot how to speak. She was good at this game.
"I think you might be jealous that I only pout for the bastard."
She laughed and palmed his boxers. "Oh, really?"
Okay. She won. He was so screwed.
