Chapter Two

Five days after Sakuras recovery, Sakuras Pov.

It was dark, and I was training and all of a sudden I sensed a familiar presence and swung myself around

"What are you doing here so late, Sakura?" I flinched at the voice It was Kakashi, my sensei holding a lantern.

"Its been five days since my recovery I wanted to get back to training, plus I'm already behind where I always am, so I'll train to prove that I'm not weak nor useless!"

I yelled at my sensei crossing my arms giving him a sturn look I usually give Naruto when he's out of line.

I understand Sakura." He started up "However, pushing yourself too hard after recovering from an illness can be dangerous and may lead to further setbacks. It's important to give your body the time it needs to fully recover and regain strength before returning to training."

"I don't care as long as I can catch up to Naruto and Sasuke, become better than Ino!"

"Ignoring medical advice, training in secret.."

"Tsk, tsk, tsk.."

I know that you know that can also be detrimental to your health and well-being."

"But-!"

I would've finished until I was interrupted by my sensei he rose his pointer finger up and kept repeating this sound signaling me to hush also to let him finish speaking.

"Auh auh auh auh!" The sound went getting louder everytime I tried to speak

I crossed my arms and huffed turning my head away

from my Sensei.

I heard my Sensei chuckle a bit at my actions.

I gritted my teeth, my arms hanging from my sides clenching my fist. Swear I wanted to punch this guy!

I hated being laughed at! Especially by adults.

"Now now Sakura, it's important to trust the guidance of medical professionals and prioritize your own health over proving yourself to others." He started off playfully

My sensei couched down so he could be eye to eye level with me, I turned my head towards him, my eyes locked like a magnet giving him a stern look.

Kakashi let out a huge sigh before he started another speech.

"Remember Sakura, being strong and capable also means taking care of your body and listening to its needs. Trust the process and give yourself the time and space to fully recover before pushing yourself too hard."

"How would those dear to you feel if they found out that you ended up harming yourself even more for doing something so careless and ignoring medical institutions?" He said softly his voice became more timidy but there was a hint of worry in it.

I was starting to get flashbacks of the academy when we did something that could harm us. Eugh.. just thinking of that gives me the heebie-jeebies.

When he'd pull us out of class or make us wait after the rest of the class had left and kept us longer, you didn't know what Iruka Sensei would do. Would he have a talk with your parents? Perhaps have you clean up the classroom?!

That was the worse..

"Sakura?"

"Yes Sensei?" I jumped at the calling of my name snapping back to reality.

"Rest up, you'll need it if you want to catch up."

His eyes softened with and the corners of his eyes curverd, he was smiling or grinning under his mask.

He handed me his lantern and rufffled my hair before swiftly fleeing the area.

"BYE MOM! BYE DAD!" I yelled grabbing a peice of toast off the table and shoving it in my mouth.

I dashed out the door in a hurry, I was tardy for the first time ever! I'm usually never late.

I couldn't help but wonder how Naruto and Sasuke would react this would be a first and most likely my last.

I have to admit it was a good sleep, besides I needed it from all the non stop training. I couldn't help but feel a little nervous about what Naruto and Sasuke would say. They were usually early risers and always on time for missions and training.

I mean.. Naruto not so much, but still!

I didn't stop running until I finally approached the training grounds, Naruto and Sasuke were already there, waiting for me.

As soon as they saw me, they both exchanged looks raising an eyebrow in surprise.

Sakura-Chan.. You're late?!" Naruto said shocked etched all over his face then he quickly changed his expression to a grin.

"Did you oversleep or something Sakura-Chan?"

"Yeah I did surprisingly." I laughed it off nervously

When I turned to Sasuke he gave me the coldest stare ever followed by a stern look, as if he was disappointed in me.

I felt my heart shatter into peices. It didn't help that my inner self was being a pestering bug making it seem like it was the end of the world to be tardy.

I couldn't let her get to me, I feel if I do i might pass out.

I couched down my hands gripped onto my thighs taking this as a moment to catch my breath. Lets not forget the fact that my legs and arms felt like jelly or noodles when they soak up all the water.

Heavy like rocks. I'm quite surprised I didn't collapse by the time I got here, I must be pretty strong now!

"Being late is unacceptable," he said.

I felt embarrassed and ashamed. I knew I had let them down by not being there on time. But then Naruto surprised me by patting me on the back.

I mean Usually I'd punch him for something like that but I just wasn't feeling it today.

"Don't worry about it too much Sakura-Chan." he said giving me on of his reassuring smiles. Honestly his smile made me feel a bit better.

"We all have those days, maybe not sasuke but you know! Just make sure it doesn't happen again, You don't want Sasuke to turn into Iruka Sensei when he was disappointed at us." Naruto teased bursting into laughter as Sasuke scoffed and clenched his jaw before he very angrily nodded to agree with not being tardy

I couldn't help but feel grateful for having such understanding teammates. Sure, they were tough on me, but they also knew how to be supportive when I needed it the most. And that's what made us such a great team.

"Yeah I'm sorry guys, but at least I beat kakashi sensei!" I said turning around to see our sensei standing behind me chuckling.

"EEEEK!" I squealed

Kakashi sensei chuckled at me "Ah, so you finally beat me in something. Congratulations, but don't let it get to your head."

I couldn't help but smile at his words. Kakashi sensei had always been a tough teacher, but he also knew how to make us laugh and feel at ease.Naruto and Sasuke let out Small laughter

As we worked on our jutsu and techniques, I couldn't help but feel grateful for having such great teammates and a wonderful teacher.

Despite everything that has happened I knew that I could still catch up and improve. And with the support of Naruto, Sasuke, and Kakashi sensei most of all beat ino, I knew that I could achieve anything.

Kakashi informed us that he had to stop by Lady Tsunade's office to get more information about the Ninjas from the sound village.

The three of us nodded in agreement, and Kakashi led the way towards the Hokage's office. As we walked, we discussed our plans and strategies for the upcoming mission. Naruto was eager to face off against the sound ninjas, while Sasuke was more cautious and analytical.

When we arrived at the Hokage's office, we were greeted by Lady Tsunade herself. She was a bit skeptical about me getting back to work so quickly but Kakashi reassured her that everything is good.

She briefed us on the situation and gave us more information about the sound ninjas. She also warned us to be careful and to not underestimate our opponents.

Afterthe briefing, we left the office and headed back to our training grounds. Kakashi sensei suggested that we practice some more before our mission, and we all agreed. We spent the rest of the day training and perfecting our skills.

the sun began to set, we decided to call it a day. Kakashi sensei reminded us to rest well and to be prepared for anything that might come our way. We nodded in agreement and headed back to our respective homes.

I couldn't help but feel excited and nervous about our upcoming mission.

But I knew that with my teammates by my side, we could overcome any obstacle that came our way
