"And without further ado please welcome President Sean Groster," Kurt spoke from the platform as he welcomed Sean to the stage. Sean made his way to the stage and smiled and nodded before taking his spot at the podium. He saw Mercedes in the crowd and gave her a smile but he noticed it didn't reach his eyes. He also noticed how Sam was looking at her from across the room, but he assumed he was reading into the things so he began his speech.

"First of all I want to thank you all for coming out to support this event and what it stands for. I am glad that we can all come together as one to be here on this night." He began. As he spoke Mercedes tuned in out and as she thought about what Sam said and how she felt his eyes boring into her back ever so often. However, she refused to give him satisfaction and didn't dare look at him. After the speech was over she clapped her hands and headed towards the back to congrats Sean and bid him goodnight. As she made her way to the back she was stopped by Penelope Whaller.

Penelope was the complete opposite of Mercedes she was thin, had short blonde hair, and was white. The perfect person to make Sean seem like he was a non-threatening black man. It wasn't that she hated Penelope it was just the fact that she always tried to use her intelligence to hurt others, and never in a good way.

"Excuse me, I am just here to wish Sean congratulations on his speech," Mercedes admitted with a smile, but she was inwardly rolling her eyes.

"Oh silly me, I was on my way to do the same thing, you know we have been thinking about reigniting an old relationship we had." Penelope smiled big as if this was wonderful news.

"Oh well, congratulations," Mercedes smiled at him. Then Sean came out of the room with his secret service in tow.

"Oh and what do I owe the honor of seeing you two?" He asked.

"Porsche and I just wanted to tell you a job well done," Penelope chuckled as she turned her body.

Mercedes rolled her eyes, "It was good a little wordy, but you got your message across, have a goodnight the both of you." Mercedes smiled and turned around and left the room noting for the valet to grab her car as she stood in the night sky.

Sam had left the event shortly after Sean's speech, and now he was in the hallway of Mercedes's apartment waiting on her, if he would have known it would have taken her so long he probably would have gone home to change in comfier clothes. He also could have picked the lock but he assumed that wouldn't have gone well. He was scrolling on his phone when he heard the elevator ding and out stepped Mercedes.

"You have got to be kidding me," Mercedes uttered as she and Sam locked eyes.

"I told you I would be here, and you are late. I expected you to leave after the speech, what did you do to make rounds to everyone in the room?" Sam asked.

"I spoke with Sean, and came here and ran into traffic, is that enough information for your spy ass." Mercedes bit back.

"I don't really like waiting Mercedes, patience has never been my specialty."

"And being the desire of a serial killer isn't mine either please step away from my front door."

Sam didn't move, "You know I am not a serial killer."

"You work for my dad, he sends you guys on missions, and you guys kill people case closed."

"That's a small minor con of the job."

"Ok, and then what are the rest?"

Sam towered over her as he pulled her in with the openings of her jacket.

"Wouldn't you love to know," He whispered?

"This has got to stop, Sam," Mercedes replied.

"But it won't, unless of course you tell me no, but we both know that isn't going to happen," Sam said as he kissed her neck gently.

"The last time we had sex, I ended up in the hospital." Mercedes pointed out as she backed away from him.

"It won't happen again." Sam insisted. Mercedes rolled her eyes and moved to her door opening it she stepped inside and before she could close it Sam entered as well. She rolled her eyes as he came in and surveyed her home.

"Nice place," Sam spoke.

"I bet it looks better in person than from your spy cams," Mercedes said, as she tossed her clutch on the couch and her keys into the small bowl that she had. Sam rolled his eyes but didn't say anything because she was right, he watched her as she headed to the kitchen and pulled down two wine glasses, before grabbing some wine out of her fridge. She walked back to the living room and placed the wine glasses on the counter before turning towards Sam and turning around. She pointed to the zipper.

"Since you are here, can you be useful and unzip my dress?" Mercedes asked. Sam practically jumped at the idea, his fingers went and grabbed the zipper and slowly he pulled it down when it was down he kissed her back causing Mercedes to moan out. Before she could run from him he gripped her hips as he pulled her in closer and kissed her neck.

"Invite me to your room Mercedes," Sam whispered. She nodded her head and grabbed his hand and led them both to her bedroom.

The next morning after Sam had left Mercedes still sleeping in bed Sam was in the White House going over paperwork, when he received the phone call that Sean wanted to see him. He rolled his eyes because he knew Sean was going to ask him about Mercedes, he knew it was only a matter of time. Which reminded him he was going to visit Mercedes at lunch. He left his office and made the walk to the Oval Office and when he entered Sean was sitting at his desk with his feet propped up on the desk and a glass of liquor by his side as he read some documents.

"What's up, Sean?" Sam asked as he shut the door.

"The proper phrase when addressing me, is "How can I help you, Mr. President?" Sean said as he looked over at Sam.

Sam quirked his head to the side, "How can I help you, Mr. President?"

"How long have you been sleeping with Mercedes?" Sean questioned.

"Excuse me?"

"We've been friends for a very long time, Sam, so please don't piss me off. I am not an idiot, finding you two alone last night was just the tip of the iceberg, and then noticing the longing glances you kept sending to her, and how you left right after my speech and she did the same thing. Except she had the common decency to say goodbye first. So I am going to ask you again. How long have you been having sex with Mercedes?" Sean hissed.

Sam smirked at his friend, "Is this you being jealous, because if it is then Sean we know who the best man is out of this situation."

"She loves me, she can never love you, she will never be yours."

"Is that what you think, that she will gladly pick you over me?"

"She would in a heartbeat."

"But did you pick her?" Sean got quiet. "Did you pick her when people were speculating about your relationships, isn't that why she left? Because you couldn't man up, and tell the entire world that you loved her."

"She understands that situation, and she would gladly choose me, you are not a factor."

"Quite the contrary Sean I was a factor last night, tell me do you miss when she climaxes when she grips the hairs on your neck and bites her lips slightly? See you may think that she wants you but trust me Sean if you try to push me on this I will only push back harder. Have a great day Mr. President, and um finish up your briefing Congress is waiting." With those words, Sam left the White House and headed to Mercedes's job.
