Chapter 4
(Third Person P.O.V.)
Akihisa was currently lying in an N-Tek infirmary bed, waking up to Yuuko hugging tightly and closely as Kubo who was also in the room looked to Akihisa who looked back at him as Kubo said, "The stealth plane you where flying while you were Max Steel, which had not only you but your older brother and U.N. Secretary General Mari Keita on it was targeted, someone tried to shoot it down with a missile, but you saved everyone, but the explosion from the missile knocked out your Max Probes and took you offline, but luckily we managed to get you into the Transphasic Energy generator just in time and recharged you in order to bring you back online." in a relieved but casual tone of voice and matching facial expression.
Akihisa then got up and out of bed and looked at both Yuuko and Kubo before saying, "Yeah I get the drill now, I protect whoever it was targeted at, I got it. The usual, business as always." in a casual tone of voice and matching facial expression before leaving the infirmary.
Later on that day Akihisa then met up with his own long time American friend who would be attending the same new school in Del Oro with him Peter "Pete" Costas, to catch up on old times and tell him about the new beach house he got with his girlfriend Yuuko, but unfortunately Roberto contacted Akihisa and told him he needs to come to N-Tek quick.
"Hey Pete, I'm sorry but something just came up, listen I promise I'll make it up to you later on when I show you the beach house and introduce you to my girlfriend Yuuko okay." Akihisa said in an apologetic tone of voice and matching facial expression as he heard Roberto over his communicator.
"Hermano, Akito wants you in his office, now." Roberto said to Akihisa over the communicator in a slightly impatient tone of voice.
"Sorry Pete, I gotta go now, see ya later tonight." Akihisa said in an apologetic tone of voice and matching facial expression as he got in his car and drove off.
"Jeeze, how do you like that, never thought my long time best bud would ever leave me hanging like this." Pete said out loud to himself in a slightly disappointed tone of voice and matching facial expression.
a little bit afterwards after arriving at N-Tek and entering his older brother Akito's office as Max Steel, Max, aka Akihisa was getting a lecture from his older brother just a little bit after Akito got agent Jean Mairot's report on the deadly Kane Virus which was being transferred to a Del Oro facility for further study to try and develop both a vaccine and hopefully also a cure for it.
"Max, I am very disappointed with that little stunt you pulled earlier today on the plane." Akito said in a very disappointed tone of voice and matching facial expression as he looked at Max.
"Hey, I got results didn't I?!" Max said in an upset and annoyed tone of voice and matching facial expression as he looked at his older brother Akito.
"Max, I'm getting tired of you going off and taking very dangerous and risky chances!" Akito said in a very annoyed and upset tone of voice and matching facial expression as he looked at Max, not breaking eye contact with him.
"Yeah, big brother, have you read my job description?! Secret Agent, always has to be ready for action even at the most inconvenient of times, lousy pay, taking dangerous and risky chances! Honestly no got damn fucking appreciation! Just like in my old school back in Japan!" Max shouted angrily at his older with a matching facial expression before storming off out of his older brother's office and slamming the door behind him.
"Max!" Akito tried to call out to him but he had already left and slammed the door behind him, leaving Akito to sigh in defeat.
After that Max and Rachel were driving, escorting U.N. Secretary General Mari Keita to one of the safe houses where she would be kept safe under heavy guard.
After doing so Max and Rachel had to make a report to the U.N. letting them know that the Secretary General was now safe and secure.
Meanwhile, later on at the same U.N. building was Miharu Shimizu who was working there as an intern, was reaching for some coffee that she bought at the U.N. cafeteria for her boss, when she got it she pulled back her arm a little too quickly and accidentally hit someone behind her in the face with her elbow, her muscle memory telling her it was Akihisa Yoshii, but upon turning around and looking she saw that it sure as hell did not look like Akihisa Yoshii.
She looked as the person she hit accidentally in the face, that being Max, held the area of his face that got hit, which was right on the bridge of his nose.
This person looked different but Miharu could somehow definitely tell that it was actually Akihisa. She then walked up to him and said, "Hey, you got plastic surgery or something pig?" in a casual tone of voice and matching facial expression.
Max then jumped back defensively and in shock, confirming what Miharu was thinking, that he and Akihisa Yoshii were one and the same and the same person.
He then looked at Miharu before grabbing her and pulling her in close and whispered to her, "You don't tell me anyone what you know and I will introduce you to my hot lesbian co-worker, Kat Ryan as well as give you her number." in a quiet but serious tone of voice and matching facial expression.
"You got a deal." Miharu said in an eager tone of voice and smile on her face.
"Wait what?!" Max said in a confused tone of voice and matching facial expression.
"Yeah, you got yourself a deal. The reason being because after you left Japan and Fumizuki Academy to come live here in America with your older brother I thought I would finally have Minami all to myself since you were no longer there, but she when I approached her, she finally snapped and like never before at me, stating that she would never love me and that if I ever came near her again, she would kill me. That's when I finally got the message loud and clear. After that I was depressed for a bit but my mom helped me get through it, I then called the cops on and reported what my dad had done to me to them and they arrested him and shut down his business and I moved in with and lived with my mom, then after that I decided to do a student intern program thing for the U.N. and well here I am now." Miharu said in a calm and collected tone of voice and matching facial expression as she explained everything to Max.
"Oh, I see. Yeah that makes sense." Max said in an understanding tone of voice and matching facial expression.
"Yep. So you gonna introduce me to that co-worker of yours or what?" Miharu asked in a casual tone of voice and matching facial expression.
"Oh, yeah of course, follow me." Max said as he gestured for her to follow him, which she did.
Later on Max was introducing Miharu to Kat and was about to explain why he was introducing them to each other when he got a call from both Kubo and Roberto on his communicator.
"Max we got trouble, your brother Akito has been kidnapped!" Roberto said in an urgent tone of voice.
"Yuuko is heading to take your place so you can investigate, stay calm don't freak out, and don't smash things with your super strength in a blind rage!" Kubo said over the communicator as he worked on his computer, sending Max his car remotely.
After getting in the car and switching it to manual drive Max drove off as fast as he could to investigate on his own while Rachel and Max's other superior Jean Mairot and all other available N-Tek agents searched for his older brother Akito.
Max then arrived at exact location where the missile they shot at the plane he was piloting was fired from, that being a mountain side road, where Max having hot out of his car started searching and investigating more along the mountain side, where he discovered only one set of tracks which led to a cliff wall.
"Kubo, Roberto are you guys thinking what I'm thinking?" Max asked the both of them over his communicator as he gave them a visual on their computer screens thanks to him being able to sync up with the N-Tek computers.
"Most definitely Hermano." Roberto said in a casual tone of voice as he looked at his screen and then to Kubo who looked at back at him and then back to his own computer screen before saying, "Why don't you give it a shot Max?" Kubo suggested to max over the communicator in a calm, collected and casual tone of voice.
"Way ahead of you guys! Going Turbo!" Max said in an enthusiastic tone of voice and matching facial expression as he went into Turbo mode and then punched the cliff wall which made a metallic sound upon impact underneath the rock.
Seeing this from their computer screens both Roberto and Kubo then looked at each other as Kubo said, "Right away you know that that's genre suave." in an impressed tone of voice and matching facial expression as Roberto looked at him and said, "Damn right it is." in an enthusiastic tone of voice and matching facial expression.
Max then proceeded to throw more punches and therefore punch his way through and inside.
After doing just that a large number of guards was waiting for him, the guards who were all armed with electric stun batons all charged at Max who managed to knock out as many of them as he could until Psycho snuck up behind him and zapped him with a stun baton, knocking max out, allowing the guards to drag him off and put him in a cell that was right next to the cell his brother Akito was being held in.
A little bit afterwards Max woke up in his cell and saw his brother in the cell next to his.
"Mr. Yoshii, your alive!" max said in a relieved tone of voice and matching facial expression.
"As are you Mr. Steel." Akito said in an equally relieved tone of voice and matching facial expression.
"Also why didn't you bring backup with you?!" Akito asked in a serious tone of voice and matching facial expression.
"Sorry, it kinda slipped my mind, but don't worry, I'll just give a call to both Roberto and Kubo and they will send the cavalry to come get us." Max said in a confident tone of voice and matching facial expression as he tried to contact both Roberto and Kubo over his communicator, but got nothing.
"What the hell! why isn't it working?!" Max said in a frustrated tone of voice and matching facial expression.
"This base must be jamming any and all communication signals, so we can't call for help." Akito said in a serious tone of voice and matching facial expression.
"So what does that mean we're on our own?!" Max said in a frustrated but serious tone of voice and matching facial expression.
"It looks like it." Akito said in a serious tone of voice and matching facial expression.
"Not quite." Said Miharu who emerged from the shadows holding keys to the cell doors.
"Also before either of you asks, I followed you here and snuck in past the guards when that cute agent Kat Ryan girl you introduced me to sent me away when they showed up looking for some virus. So I followed here, and it's good thing I did!" Miharu said in a casual tone of voice and matching facial expression before giving a wink and unlocking and opening their cell doors, freeing both Max and Akito as an alarm went off.
As the guards arrived they saw that both Max and Akito were still in their cells but noticed something was a bit off.
"False alarm." One guard said to the others while another looked and said, "Hey wait wasn't the ugly one originally in that cell and that one in this cell?" in a confused tone of voice.
"UGLY ONE?!" Akito shouted angrily before Max kicked the door of his cell open which struck the guard in front of it, as Akito did the same, knocking out the guard who was in front of his cell, as a third guard tried to shoot at them with a wrist laser only to get knocked out from getting kicked in the head from behind by Miharu.
The three of them then run and try to find a way out of the base, which leads them to encountering, fighting and knocking out several other guards, until they make their way to the hydraulic floor lift and door that allowed them to bring out the surface to air missile launcher vehicle that they tried to use to shoot down the plane Max was piloting earlier that day, as the few remaining guards shot at them with their wrist lasers, as Max worked the controls to open the doors and raise the hydraulic floor lift.
After getting the doors open and using the lift like an elevator to try to get them all out the guards shot the control panel to try to stop the hydraulic lift but it was already too late as Max, Akito and Miharu all got out.
As they exited the underground base the communication link was re-established and both and Roberto and Kubo saw this and contacted Max.
"Max are you okay?" Roberto asked over the communicator as visuals were restored.
"Yeah don't worry I'm fine, and I found Akito, he's fine too, we managed to get out thanks to getting some unexpected help from someone I never would have expected to get help from." Max said as he gave them a visual of who it was he was referring to which took Kubo by surprise as he saw that it was Miharu.
"Max when did-" Kubo tried to ask but max cut him off.
"It's a long story, and I'll explain later for now could one of you send us a ride please and make it snappy?" Max asked in a tone of voice that made it clear that they were in a hurry.
"Already on it Hermano." Roberto said as he used his computer to remotely drive and send Max's car to them.
"Thanks guys, don't know what I'd do without you two." Max said he, Akito and Miharu all got in the car when it arrived and Max then said, "Switching to manual drive." Before driving off.
"I don't get it, none of this makes sense, if it's not kidnapping or assassination then what else is there in all of Del Oro could they be after?" Akito asked in a confused but serious tone of voice.
Then both Max and Akito simultaneously remembered and both simultaneously said, "THE VIRUS!"
"Just then all three of them heard Kubo's voice coming from the car's radio say, "Don't worry guys, we just got word from Rachel and Jean that all three Yuuko, Kat and Agent Jake Nez got the virus back from Psycho and secured it." in a calm and collected tone of voice.
Hearing this made both Max and Akito both sigh in relief.
"Then I guess there is nothing left to do but to head back to N-Tek HQ. Which reminds me Max, I owe you an apology for earlier, how about I make it up to you later on by treating you and Yuuko to dinner tonight?" Akito said in a relieved tone of voice and matching facial expression.
"Yeah, I'd like that." Max said in a happy tone of voice and smile on his face as they drove off back to N-Tek HQ.
