Chapter 5

(Third Person P.O.V.)

Akihisa who was now currently Max Steel, was diving out of an N-Tek plane for the sky surfing portion of an Extreme Sports competition when suddenly thunder clouds appeared out of nowhere and lightning struck one of the other competitors, knocking them out unconscious.

Max having seen this quickly moved over to him in the air and grabbed on to and pulled his cord to release the knocked out competitors parachute, before kicking off as he noticed that lightning had just struck another competitor, knocking him unconscious as well so max now had to move over to him in the air and deploy his parachute too, before Max released his own parachute and all three of them hit the water down below under them in the bay where the flotation devices they were all wearing inflated, making them all float in the water, showing the two zapped and knocked out guys are safe and fine, as emergency rescue and medical personal for the competition arrived on the scene to take care of the two knocked out athletes.

In the lab back in N-Tek headquarters Max's elder brother Akito was speaking while playing replay footage of what happened.

"The sky was clear moments before those clouds appeared and it all happened, which can only mean one thing, it was a man made storm with lighting targeting those two guys!" Akito said in a serious tone of voice and matching facial expression to everyone in the room as they watched the replay footage on a big screen.

"So let me guess, you need me to investigate it while I compete in the competition, right?" Max asked inquisitively with facial expression showing that he had a feeling that he already knew the answer to the question he just asked his older brother.

"Bingo." Was all Akito said, therefore confirming Max's feeling.

A little bit afterwards, back on the track Max was getting ready for the next part of the competition, which was a Jet Ski race, as Miharu then spoke to max via his communicator.

"Max your big brother says to watch your ass, because something screwy is going on, and the next event is in the water, which is completely and a very bad place to be in for you, because we have absolutely no idea what will happen to your Max Probes if you get hit with a bolt of lightning and electrocuted. " Miharu said in a serious tone of voice over the communicator while she was with Kat watching the competition from a safe distance in a special V.I.P. area.

Meanwhile, Yuuko was in the stands with the rest of the crowd watching as Max started up his Jet Ski for the race.

After the race started Max was right in the middle with a few guys in front of him in the lead and a few other guys right behind him. It did not take long for the storm clouds to appear again and for lightning to start striking, Max looked on as the lightning struck the Jet skis of some of the racers in front of him and some of the ones behind him, making them all jump and fall off of their Jet Skis and into the water as some of the Jet Skis just shorted out while others exploded, but luckily the racers were all still alive and breathing as emergency rescue team members came to come get them out of the water and back on to dry land and therefore to safety, as Max avoided the lightning strikes and quickly headed back to dry land himself, the mysterious lightning storm just suddenly stopping and disappearing again.

Later on Max's older brother Akito called the entire team, to let them know what to do now.

"Alright everyone, we're pulling out as it seems that this weather that is being caused by some kind of weather control device is only either in or somewhere close to the water, so Max there is no need for you to finish in first, you got that?" Akito said in a serious tone of voice over the communicators.

"Believe me Big Brother, I had no intention of winning, especially since I have enhanced physical abilities now which pretty much makes it unfair for everyone else and takes away the challenge of these competitions from me. Which is exactly why I retired from Extreme Sports competitions or at least I am trying to." Max said in a slightly disappointed tone of voice as what he said was quite very true.

"Okay, so lose the next part sense winning with your super powers is not right we are finished with the undercover stuff, got it, so in other words, just get it done!" Miharu said in a slightly unenthusiastic tone of voice.

Afterwards while Max was getting ready for the Mountain Bike race and to come in last for it, Yuuko was walking around by herself when she noticed the blimp that the Extreme Sports news reporter guy who also just so happened to be their old High School health and Physical Education Teacher Mr. Ooshima, on the ground, Yuuko then curiously snuck on board the blimp and turned on her comlink and a hidden camera that she had and was wearing that broadcasted the live video footage feed back to all of team Steel.

As she walked around, she then saw and noticed a some kind of machine with Dread marked on it and made sure to get footage of it so that her teammates could all see it.

Yuuko then tried to say something into her communicator to explain to her team but before she could someone snuck up behind her and struck her in the head and knocked her out unconscious.

A little bit afterwards, after coming back to and regaining consciousness, Yuuko was sitting on the floor in the cockpit, her hands and legs were bound by some very strong and thick plastic zip ties, as she looked and saw one of her former High School teachers Mr. Ooshima waving his finger at her with a displeased facial expression.

"Tisk Tisk. You really should know better then to stick you nose where it doesn't belong, Ms. Kinoshita, and it's such a shame too, back when you still attended Fumizuki Academy you were one of the top second year students and yet you gave it all up and for what, because of silly little crush you developed for that dumbest student in the entire school, that good for nothing probationary student Akihisa Yoshii." Ooshima spoke with clear disappointment in his voice and a matching facial expression.

Yuuko then just rolled her eyes at Ooshima's words, showing that she did not care at all for the words of an insane mad man.

"If you are done criticizing my life choices, then would you mind telling me exactly why you are doing all of this?" Yuuko asked in an unimpressed tone of voice and matching facial expression.

"I'd be happy to, Ms. Kinoshita. You see I am doing all of this because the company that you and that idiot former probationary student Akihisa Yoshii now work for ruined my life and career as an Extreme Sports Athlete, I was going to be not just one of the few but one of if not the best Extreme Sports Athlete from Japan, but because of N-Tek rigging my bike and making me crash and injure my leg so much to the point that my career ended right then and there, so with my career as an Extreme Sports Athlete ruined the only kind of work I was able to get was being a health and physical education teacher at Fumizuki Academy, that is why I am going to ruin this competition because it will hurt if not ruin the company N-Tek just as bad if not more then they hurt me!" Ooshima said with hate and anger clear as day in his tone of voice and in his facial expression.

Meanwhile down below and back in the competition, because of Yuuko broadcasting her little exchange with her former high school health and physical education teacher Mr. Ooshima via live video and audio feed, all of the members of Team Steel, especially Max, heard all of it, and after seeing and hearing all of it just one minute before the mountain bike race started, Max then got into position and rode off at high speed despite his Turbo Mode not being activated currently as he dodged and slipped past lightning bolts striking everywhere on the track as he zoomed off crossing the finish line in first place, accidentally winning by mistake as he was too focused on somehow getting up to that blimp and saving Yuuko, but this did not mean that he did not notice himself winning the race.

"Dammit, I will definitely hate myself later on in the morning for this, but for now I gotta get up and on to that blimp somehow!" Max said in a serious tone of voice and matching facial expression.

"Max, do you read me it's me, Miharu, I assume that you also saw and heard Yuuko's little video and audio feed too and are going to go rescue her now and stop that crazy former teacher now reporter of ours now. If so then Kat and I have a little something for you to help you out with that courtesy of both Kubo and Roberto. Come down here quickly so we can give it to you." Miharu said in a calm and collected buy at the same time serious tone of voice over the communicator.

"One my way." Max said in an enthusiastic tone of voice as he rode down to where Kat and Miharu were.

The two of them then gave him a jet back that he gratefully and thankfully took and put on and used to get him up to the blimp, where he then smashed through one of the cockpit windows.

"Sorry Mr. Ooshima but I'm afraid this little revenge party you're having here is about to end and be over now!" Max said in a serious tone of voice and matching facial expression as he quickly got up to his feet from his crash landing entry into the blimp's cockpit.

"Oh, I think not, Mr. Max Steel!" Ooshima said a confident tone of voice and matching facial expression as Max was blasted by a lightning bolt blast from behind which knocked him into a wall.

"Allow me to introduce you to my little half sister from the United States, Abigail. Also allow me to make something a little clear for you, I got this machine from a little group/organization who call themselves Dread, they also offered me a more smaller scale device in the form of a gauntlet, that I decided to give to my little half sister here." Ooshima said in confident tone of voice and matching facial expression.

Max then yelled, "GOING TURBO!" as he activated his Turbo Mode while still on the floor and then quickly getting back up to his feet.

Abigail then tried to blast Max with another lightning bolt blast only for him to dodge and avoid it as he got out the way and therefore out of Abigail's line of fire and grabbed Yuuko and thanks to his extremely enhanced super strength in Turbo Mode instantly ripped off the zip ties that were restraining Yuuko's arms and legs, freeing her as a result.

"You take the crazy former high school health and P.E. teacher turned sociopath and I'll take his equally crazy American half sister." Max said to Yuuko in a calm and collected but at the same time serious tone of voice and matching facial expression.

"Sounds good to me." Yuuko replied in serious but at the same time enthusiastic tone of voice, possibly coming from a desire to want to punch their former teacher in the face for trash talking the two of them earlier.

Just then Abigail shot more lightning from her gauntlet at the two of them only for them both to dodge and avoid it as Max got in close and exchanged blows and blocks with the girl as Yuuko did the same with Ooshima.

"Seriously Mr. Ooshima all of this because of an accident that was put you into retirement! I read up on your history, that N-Tek bike you were using and riding in that competition, it wasn't rigged, you were just being careless despite knowing the risks!" Yuuko said in an angry and annoyed tone of voice and matching facial expression.

"LIES! All lies, N-Tek only said that and used that excuse to avoid taking responsibility for what they did to me! You think I wanted to work as some unappreciated Health and P.E. teacher at some private high school where kids fought for the right to have good school supplies?! No I had dreams and aspirations, I had goals to be the best, do you have any idea how many Extreme Sports Athletes are there from Japan?! Not a lot, in fact almost Zero! I was going to be the one who put our entire home country on the map when it came to Extreme Sports, until N-Tek and their faulty equipment ruined my career and my life when I got my leg injury!" Ooshima said in a tone of voice and matching facial expression both full of anger, hate and resentment.

Just then Abigail was about to shoot another lightning bolt blast at Max, but she telegraphed it, allowing him to see it coming, he then kicked her arm wearing the gauntlet into another direction, causing her to instead accidentally shooting and zapping the control panel of the device, causing it to overload.

"Uh Oh, Max that's not good! The machine is overloading and in a few more seconds about to blow, you need to get Yuuko, Ooshima and his sister Abigail and get out of there now! Your jet pack should still be functional, hurry!" Roberto said in an urgent tone of voice over the communicator as he and Kubo both watched from their computer screen monitor.

Max then quickly dodged a kick from Abigail by jumping and simultaneously kicking her in the head sending her back of her head first into the wall behind her, knocking her out unconscious, while Yuuko avoided a punch from Ooshima and countered with one of her own, knocking him to the floor and out unconscious as well.

"That's for trash talking me and my boyfriend and our life choices earlier, you stupid dumb ass sociopath!" Yuuko said in an aggressive tone of voice and matching facial expression as she gave their now unconscious former high school Health and P.E. teacher the middle finger.

"Yuuko, this whole thing is about to go kaboom and crash into the ground below, we need to get out of here now, I've got Ooshima's younger half sister, you grab Ooshima himself, then you hold on to my hand and don't let go!" Max said in an urgent tone of voice and matching facial expression as Yuuko simply replied with a "Right!" and nodding her head before doing what Max told her to do.

Max then grabbed his jet pack and put it on before grabbing Abigail and holding her by the arm in one hand as Yuuko grabbed Ooshima and held him by one of his arms in one of her hands, she and Max then grabbed and held each other's free hands before jumping out of the broken window Max came in through and activating his jet pack, and flying off into the back hatch of a large N-Tek plane that Max's elder brother Akito sent to pick them up, as the blimp with the weather control device exploded and crashed into the ground below behind them as the N-Tek plane they made it into flew off.
