Garrett met Frank in the lobby of the hospital.

"Anything on the kid from the drive by?" Frank asked.

"Yes sir. Officer Janko made an arrest for someone fitting a description of the man given by the witness. Detective Reagan would need to know we have him in custody at the 12th."

"He'll know. Just not yet. Has anyone interrogated him?"

"No sir. In respect to the detectives case, Janko wants to transfer him to the 5-4 so Detective Baez can handle the interrogation."

"Very well. After she's done questioning Detective Reagan, send her over to retrieve the suspect."

"Yes sir."

Baez asked question after question and it was really starting to annoy Danny.

"Are ya done?" He asked impatiently.

Baez sighed when she realized she wasn't getting anywhere with her partner.

"I guess so. I got two cases to finish anyway so I'll be back later if I have any information on your case."

"Great. I won't be here that long."

"Where do you think your going to go? Your not leaving here. If you tried, your probably not strong enough to take on several security officers."

"Hey, I take offense to you calling me weak."

"Okay tough guy. If you think your strong right now, try to get out of bed?"

"Oh, I have your permission now?"

Baez rolled her eyes and watched him closely as he just struggled to sit up. Then, she crossed her arms impatiently.

Danny finally got into a sitting position and tried to stand up but kept his hands on the bed and decided against letting go.

"Okay. That's enough Reagan." She said as she helped him lay back down again. "See what I mean?"

"I could do it! You didn't give me long enough."

"Are you kidding me? You wouldn't let go of the rail for five minutes. I bet you can't even fight me."

"I don't fight my partners. Not to mention, I don't hit girls."

"Right. Anyways, I'm out. I got bad guys I gotta catch."

"Are my boys still out there?"

"Yes. They haven't left. Want me to bring them in?"

"Yes. I appreciate it."

Baez made her way to the 12th when Frank told her about the possible suspect.

"Janko!" She called out and Eddie turned around.

"Detective. I assume your here to retrieve the suspect in your case?"

"Yes. I'll be bringing him to the 5-4."

Janko nodded and an officer brought him out. "His name is Damon Marcos. He lives right down the road from the kid. No alibi and is not cooperating."

"Thanks. I'll take it from here." She said and led him to one of the police cruisers.

At the 5-4, Baez brought Damon Marcos to one of the interrogation rooms and cuffed him to the table.

"So, do you wanna tell me where you were three days ago at 7am?"

"I was at home."

"Can anyone collaborate that story?"

"Why? I ain't done nothing wrong!"

Baez pulled out a sketch of him and placed it on the table in front of the suspect.

"Is this not you?"

He turned away.

"I know it's you unless you have an evil twin brother."

"It's an evil twin. We all have one."

"But we all don't use that evil twin inside us do we? Why did you gun down this little boy?" She asked as she also pulled out his picture and set it down next to the sketch.

"I only got one word for you. Lawyer."

"You will get one after you answer my question. Now, why did you kill him? He was singly 8 years old!"

"I was aiming for his mother. Not him."

"Why? What did she do to you? No, wait. Let me guess. She's your ex-wife and wants a divorce but you want to stay with her. Am I right? Is that little boy yours? Did she want to take full custody of him?"

He slammed his hands on the table. "Shut your mouth!"

"Or what? You gonna kill me like you did your son??" She pulled out a crime scene photo of the boy and slammed it down in front of him. "Look at it! Look what you did to your own flesh and blood!"
