Netto looked at his new PETs. "What did you do again?" Shun had done some modifications and made the designs sleaker

"Your dad said they were modifications to improve cross fusion performance," Shun said. "Slur looked over them and gave her own modifications.

The PETs looked the same but he could live with some improvements. "Well sounds good," He said.

Shun then took out a small box. "I finished it last night."

He carefully took the box and gingerly opened it. Inside was a synchro chip with a yellow case and Slur's insignia on the side. "Will it work?"

"I ran some diagnostics on it," Shun said resting in his chair. "It should but we have to test it out to make sure it does."

"I see," he said carefully holding the chip in his hand. "I'll be visiting Scilab later, hopefully I can get a session in."

Putting the chip back into the box he looked up at Shun. "Nebula is growing more and more desperate. I fear Regal will do something drastic."

"The more I think about it the more I think Nebula isn't just a front to delete Slur," Shun said resting in his chair.

"What do you mean?" he asked.

Shun sighed. "The dark chips and everything that has been happening couldn't have been done overnight. If I had to suggest Nebula wants to dominate the world and deleting Slur is just the icing on the cake for them."

He frowned and look down at Slur's PET. "Nebula is nothing but evil. I trust Slur and know that cross fusion could be a key to showing Duo that humanity is worth saving."

His navi appeared on the screen and nodded. Slur's face was calm but he could see the determination in her eyes to complete her task here on Earth. "My lord loves bonds and speaks highly of them. Cross fusion is an interesting technique that could pique his curiosity. I'm sure it can prove this planet's worth."

"Duo I wonder what kind of being he is," Shun said resting in his chair. "A being so powerful he could destroy the Earth with a snap of his fingers." His friend snapped his fingers the sound reverberating throughout the room. "A truly terrifying being."

He nodded slowly. "I met him once I could feel his power, it wasn't like anything I've felt in my life." His body shivered at the memory of his encounter with Duo. "But if Slur thinks there is a chance to make it work with him then I trust her, this is also important to her."

Slur looked down but nodded. "I've never failed before and don't intend to fail now." She looked up at him with a fiery gaze. "I swear I'll do all I can to make sure this world is safe but to do that we must get rid of those dark chips and destroy Nebula. I know for a fact my lord destroy this place if he found out about them."

"We are close to doing that," he said resting in his chair. "We've taken out a lot of their darkloids and destroyed some of their warehouses."

Shun nodded. "They still are planning something big I can feel it." His friend got up and sighed. "Well I say we go and try practicing our new synchro chip."

"Good idea," he said getting up.

It was an overcast day as they headed towards Scilab. I don't know when Duo will appear again but I will make sure we get rid of Nebula and the dark chips before Duo comes back.

They found the lab mostly empty but found his dad in his office looking over some files. "Hey Netto what brings you here?" His father asked looking up from a pile of papers.

"Uh me and Shun want to do some experiments do you mind letting us use the dimensional area chamber?" He asked trying to sound as casual as possible.

His dad looked at him in surprise. "Sure. What kind of experiments."

He swallowed a lump in his throat. "Uh we did some modifications to our PETs and we want to test them."

His father gave him a curious look but nodded. "Ok just be careful."

"I always am," he said with a nervous smiled before thanking his dad.

His father returned to his work as he and Shun headed towards the testing area. "I'll handle the converters and make sure the cameras aren't on us," Shun said softly.

He nodded. "Thanks. Lets do this."

The testing chambers were empty but that didn't stop him from nervously looking around as he got into the chamber. "Alright Netto I'm going to start up the dimensional area," Shun said over the intercom."

Taking a deep breath he took out the new synchro chip they made. "Are you both ready?"

"Yes Netto-kun," Rockman said.

"Me too," Slur said.

"Good lets try it," he said plugging in the dual card reader he made into both of his PETs. "Synchro chip slot in!"

A tingling sensation passed through him. Taking a deep breath he winced as power enveloped his body passing through him. Focusing on his bonds with his navis he thought of all of their adventures.

His heart raced in increased as he felt the presence of both of his navis. It was as if two powerful currents rippled through him. He winced resisting the urge to collapse as his knees began to wobble.

Come on. He winced as he saw the Crest of Duo on his hand glow. He gritted his teeth wincing as a powerful sensation overcame him. "GRRR," he stumbled as the light enveloped him before dissipating.

He fell to his knees breathing heavily. "Netto-kun are you alright?" Slur asked with concern.

"Netto is everything ok?" Shun asked through the monitor.

His vision blurred as he got up but he nodded and rubbed his eyes. "I'm fine guys. Slur you and Rockman feel anything?"

"I felt like we were about to cross fuse but it was cut short," Rockman said.

"Same for me," Slur said. "Did it take a toll on your body? You look unwell?"

"A little weak but I can keep going," he said cleaning the sweat from his brow. "Shun I'm gong to continue again."

"Alright be careful though," Shun said.

Come on lets go. Taking a deep breath he calmed his mind and focused on the bond between him and his navis. We've gone through so much and fought so many strong opponents. We've saved a lot of people and will save more.

Earth is worth saving. "Synchro chip slot in!" As soon as he inserted the chip he felt the familiar presence of his navis. Rockman's presence was soft and soothing while Slur's was strong and powerful. Both of their essence slowly mixed with his as they slowly washed over him.

Rockman Slur lets save the world Nebula and all those who wish to use it. His body began to shake as the process advanced. Suddenly a shock passed through his body and his vision went white as he fell to the ground his heart pounding in his chest.

"Are you alright?" Rockman asked.

"Yeah come on lets keep practicing," He said his knees shaking as he stood up. A lot is riding on this test. Slur is confident this could prove our planet is worth saving. "Shun start it up again!"

"Roger," Shun said over the intercom. "Try visualizing them fused together with you."

"Alright guys lets do this," he said. Taking a deep breath he rolled his shoulders and did some stretches to loosen himself up before starting again. "Synchro chip slot in!"

He thought of his navis and focused on the bond he bad between them. Their power washed over him as he slowly visualized them. He thought of what his amor and coloring would be. Mainly it would have Rockman's shade of blue with Slur's white on the side his armor and amalgamation of both of theirs.

Their power and essence surged through him like two powerful streams of energy. Using all of his willpower he balanced the energies in his body trying to make the perfect balance. Come on guys we can do it.

Slowly opening his eyes he saw that a bright armor was forming around his body. Slowly he was able to make out the shapes of the armor as it began to form around his body. That's it come on.

His heart raced in his chest as the transformation slowly got clearer and clearer. However, a sudden spasm of energy passed through him and he fell to the ground the transformation disappearing in a flash of light.

"Damn it we were so close," he said.

"Netto-kun I think you should take a break," Slur said.

"Good idea," he sighed. "You two ok?"

Taking out his PET his navis both nodded. "I am," Rockman said.

"As am I," Slur said. " I think we are close we just need to practice more and focus on being in sync."

Rockman nodded his gaze downward. "It won't be easy doing it with the three of us but I know we can pull it off."

"Me too," he said slowly standing up. "Come on lets eat I'm starving."

Come on I can do this. Rockman stared at his operator, it was Slur's idea to come clean about it. I't now or never. He had been waiting for the right time and now that they were all home alone it would be a great time.

"Rockman what is it?" Netto asked. "Slur said you have something important you wanted to share."

He looked at Slur who gave him a small small. Taking a deep breath he looked up. "Netto-kun there is a secret about my creation I want you to know."

"Secret? What do you mean?" Netto asked.

He swallowed as he looked into his eyes. "When you were born you had a twin named Saito who died shortly after childbirth." It hurt to say but as he said it he couldn't hold it back anymore. "You're father created me from his DNA."

Netto stared at him in shock as if he hadn't heard him correctly. "Wh-What?"

"I am made from the DNA of your deceased brother," he said.

Netto folded his arms. "I guess that explains some things."

"What do you mean?" He asked softly.

Netto sighed. "When I was young I remember overhearing people around me talking about an accident my mother had. I didn't know what it meant at the time. Also occasionally at New Years my mom would cry a lot."

Netto turned and smiled at him, his eyes watery. "Thank you for sharing this with me. I'm glad my brother is with me."

He smiled, emotions rising up inside of him as tears fell down his face. "Netto-"

The sound of an explosion caught his attention. "We are under attack!" Slur yelled as she drew her swords.

"We'll finish this conversation later," Netto said as Colonel appeared before them his sword drawn.

Damn it. I won't let you hurt anyone else. He drew his buster and pointed it at the black navi.

Colonel eyed them both. "I am only here to delete Slur, I have no interest in you civilian, stand aside."

"If you want to harm her you'll have to go through me," he said standing next to Slur. "We are a team."

Colonel's gaze turned hard. "You fools have no idea what you are doing. This woman will destroy the world."

"I am not destroying anything," Slur said calmly. "Leave I throw you out piece by piece."

"We won't let anyone destroy the world," Netto said firmly. "We'll prove this world is worth saving, and we won't let anyone have their way with it! Come on guys battle routine set!"

He and Slur readied their weapons. "Execute!"

That was fun to say. He fired his blaster at Colonel who dodged them.

Colonel came at them hard. Slur blocked the navi's sword with hers while he fired at him. I won't let you hurt her or anyone I care about.

"Long sword slot in!" Netto yelled.

A sword appeared in both of their hands. He charged in defense of Slur and met Colonel's blade head-on. The weight of the black navi's sword pushed him back. "I won't you hurt her," he said. "Not after all that we've been through!"

Colonel shook his head. "Then die!"

The navi's attack was so fast that he barely registered it. He heard Netto and Slur scream his name as he was knocked to the ground. Netto-kun.

"Rockman!" Slur yelled as she helped him up.

He smiled at her, "Thank you Slur. Thank you for giving me the courage to tell Netto the truth."

"Don't be silly we have to win this," Slur said, he swore he saw tears in her eyes. "You have your whole life ahead of you, you still have to help us complete our task."

A burning sensation spread throughout his body as he nodded. "I know."

Slur smiled at him when a familiar sensation hit him. Out of the corner of his eyes, he saw Colonel ready his canon but at that moment all he could think of was his connection and bond with Slur.

As he held her hand and rested on her body he felt a familiar connection as his memories of her played out in his head all of which formed into the singular resolve of protecting this world and defending their operator.

He heard Netto call out to them as a flash of light erupted between him and Slur. He felt their consciousness merge as one. Slur's presence enveloped him as their consciousnesses fused. Her strength was unlike anything he had felt before, it was powerful yet graceful.

Opening his eyes he found himself standing among an area of smoke. "Double soul Slur soul!" His armor had green highlights and white extensions came protruding out of his helmet, his arms, and legs

"Rockman Slur," Netto said.

He turned to his operator and nodded. "We'll do this together."

Netto smiled at him and nodded. "Lets do this."

Colonel lunged at him, his movements seemed slower or he was just that quicker. He blocked the black navi's sword with ease and effortlessly countered. He landed a hit and another. He danced in the air as he dodged Colonel's sword.

I won't let you hurt her or anyone close to me. He kicked Colonel and sent him flying before summoning a bunch of chains to grab and electrocute him.

Colonel swore as he tried to break free. "You have no idea what you are playing with. That woman will be the end of us all."

"Slur isn't evil," he said as he summoned chains to restrain Colonel. "We've fought against evil this entire time and now we will do the same thing with you and Nebula."

Snapping his fingers he electrocuted Colonel and summoned spears from the ground to pierce him. "Y-Your a fool to believe her," Colonel said.

"You're a fool to doubt us," he said before lunging at the navi. Summoning a light sword in his hand he plunged it into Colonel's chest. The black navi swore as he was logged out.

"Rockman that was cool," Netto said.

"Thank you." He had a million things he wanted to say but he couldn't put them into words, looking into his eyes a smile spread across his face. Thank you for everything.

Netto smiled at him, deep down he knew that their relationship was stronger than ever. The three of them would show the world what they can do.
