Danny Phantom Forever
Before you read: I like to think of this chapter as a combination between "What You Want", "Memory Blank", and "Masters of All Time".
It's a Jazz-i-ful Life
It was a bright and sunny day and things were happy as a crowd of people cheered for Danny as he fought Skulker. He froze him in ice and everyone watched, including Danny's parents and his sister Jazz, who smiled proudly. The next day everyone at school was cheering Danny's name as he fought the Lunch Lady ghost as he destroyed her meat monster form and sucked her into the Fenton Thermos.
Dash raised his fists in the air as he yelled, "Phantom! Phantom!"
Paulina swooned as she watched Danny while Tucker and Sam congratulated him and Jazz smiled proudly with her arms folded. Later that afternoon Jazz went with her parents and Danielle as they visited Danny's statue of him holding the Earth.
Jack smiled proudly as he put his arm around Maddie and said, "That's our boy. Right Maddie?"
Maddie looked at him as she proudly said, "Yep, it sure is."
Jazz looked proud but then looked a bit insecure as she turned around and walked away while Danielle followed her. Later that night Jazz was sitting at the table reading while her parents started cleaning up the kitchen.
Suddenly Jack looked and saw Danny on the kitchen's TV, and he pointed at it as he shouted, "Danny!"
Maddie immediately turned and she and Jack stared at the screen while Jazz showed an annoyed expression as she watched them.
The TV showed a video of Danny fighting and defeating Technus while Tiffany Snow said, "Once again Danny Phantom saves the city as he defeats the ghost known as Technus. Our hero has once again protected us."
The TV then showed Danny being interviewed as he proudly said, "I'm just happy to help."
Jack smiled proudly as he said, "He's a chip off the old block, ay honey?"
Maddie smiled up at him as she said, "Yeah, Jack, I'm just so proud of him."
They both walked away while Jazz watched them and let out a sigh before taking an apple in her left hand.
She was about to take a bite out of it but she suddenly said, "Huh?"
The apple came out of her hand and floated in front of her as a small chunk of it disappeared and a bite mark appeared.
Jazz showed an amused smile as she said, "Hi Danielle."
Suddenly Danielle appeared before her, floating in the air in her ghost form as she held the apple and chuckled happily.
She stopped and smiled at Jazz as she said, "Hi Jazz."
She gave Jazz back her apple before floating over to the TV as she happily said, "Danny did it again! Man he is awesome!"
Jazz smiled in agreement as she said, "Yeah, he sure is."
She took a bite out of her apple and was chewing it while Danielle turned around and said, "One day I'm gonna be as great a hero as him."
Jazz swallowed her food and smiled as she confidently said, "I'm sure you will."
Danielle flew into the living room and Jazz heard her say, "Hi mom and dad."
Jazz took another bite of her apple while she heard Maddie happily said, "Danielle! Hi sweetie!"
Jazz swallowed her bite as she listened and heard Jack say, "There's my little ghost-powered girl!"
Jazz let out a sad sigh as she leaned on the table with her head in her hand as she stared at the TV showing Danny. She then reached in her pocket and pulled out her wallet and opened it to see three pictures she kept inside it. The first was of Danny flying in his ghost form, the second was of her with Danielle in her human form, and the last one was of her smiling with Danny and Danielle floating beside her in their ghost forms.
Jazz got up and walked while she stared at the pictures and said to herself, "I love them, and I'm proud of them, but sometimes I wish I was the one who got ghost powers."
She walked out of the kitchen, and immediately after she left Desiree phased into the room through the floor and turned visible.
She stared in Jazz's direction with a devious smile as she said, "So you have wished it, so it shall be."
Her hands glowed pink as she raised them and flashed light as she changed everything as the screen faded to black.
Opening theme
The title card was shown as it showed Danny in his human form with Jazz, who wore a costume similar to Danielle's and had white hair and green eyes. They both looked out with scared expressions as they were being sucked into a portal between Desiree's hands as she smiled at them evilly. The scene began in Jazz's bedroom as she woke up and yawned while stretching her arms out before getting out of bed and walking to her dresser.
She looked in the mirror with a tired expression as she said, "I don't know what but something about me feels a little different."
Her eyes were half open when she suddenly turned invisible and her eyes widened in shock as she saw her reflection disappear. She suddenly turned visible again before she looked down at herself but saw nothing different, then she looked in the mirror and could see her reflection again.
She pointed at the mirror in confusion before brushing it off and leaving as she said, "Did I just…? No! It must be my imagination. I'm not fully awake yet. I'd better have some breakfast."
She walked out of her bedroom and proceeded down the hall and stopped outside Danielle's room as she said, "Morning Danielle."
She heard nothing but brushed it off as she said, "She must already be downstairs."
Jazz walked downstairs and stopped when she came to the kitchen and saw Jack and Maddie working on an invention while Danny sat at the table eating cereal. Jazz became curious as she noticed Danielle was nowhere to be found while the rest of her family didn't notice her yet.
Jazz placed her finger to her chin as she glanced away in thought then she smiled fondly while saying, "She's not down here either. She must've already left. She does like to sometimes go flying out before school."
She walked in and happily said, "Morning."
Jack and Maddie both smiled at her as they went to her while Jack said, "There's are strong and brilliant little girl!"
Maddie happily said, "Good morning sweetie!"
Jazz was a bit surprised by their behavior as she said, "Um hi."
She smiled as she walked over to Danny and said, "Morning Danny."
Danny looked at her over his shoulder as he glared and said, "Morning Jazz."
Jazz smiled as she stood behind him and politely said, "Any plans for later?"
He looked at her as he rudely replied, "None that involve you."
Jazz was shocked by his behavior as she eyed him and sarcastically said, "Well you're in a good mood today."
Maddie glared at Danny as she sternly said, "Danny don't be rude to your sister."
Jack put his fists on his sides as he glared at Danny and angrily said, "Yeah don't give us any of your sas mister!"
Danny let out a sad sigh as he looked at his cereal and said, "Sorry."
Jazz looked at him with concern before Jack proudly said, "You should be! Your sister is the best! Fighting ghosts just like her parents and saving the city from them!"
Jazz became shocked as she said, "What?!"
Maddie turned on the TV while she proudly said, "We heard all about it honey."
They all looked at the TV as it showed Tiffany Snow happily saying, "The news is abuzz about how Jazz Phantom selflessly saved the city from the dangerous weather ghost known as Vortex yesterday."
Jazz was baffled as she stared at the TV and said, "Jazz Phantom?!"
The TV then showed footage of Jazz flying with ghost powers and fighting Vortex before defeating him and sucking him into a Fenton Thermos.
While it showed this footage Tiffany Snow said, "Once again Jazz Phantom has proved to the greatest protector of Amity Park."
Jack clinched his fists as he said, "That's my girl!"
Maddie happily hugged Jazz as she proudly said, "Like mother like daughter."
Danny stood up and took his backpack as he walked out and jealously said, "Yeah, way to go Jazz. We're so lucky to have you."
He walked out and headed to school before Jack and Maddie walked out, leaving Jazz alone as she stared at the TV.
The TV showed her flying through the air with ghost powers, and Jazz pointed at it as she said, "That's me? That can't be me. I don't have ghost powers. Do I?"
She thought to herself and realized that she did still feel different and she remembered when her reflection vanished.
She then came to a conclusion as she said to herself, "There's only one way to find out."
She closed her eyes and concentrated, and then suddenly she transformed into a ghost form in a sequence just like whenever Danny would go ghost. She opened her eyes and gasped as she looked down to find herself floating above the floor and she was now wearing a costume like Danny's. She wore a suit with the same color scheme as his but it was in her size and she had a "J" on her chest instead of a "D". She hurried over to the microwave and stared at her reflection as she noticed that her hair was white, her eyes were green, and her headband was now black.
Jazz stared down at her hands as she let out a hushed exclamation of wonder and said, "I have ghost powers."
She soon got excited as she looked up and repeated, "I have ghost powers!"
She turned intangible and flew up as she phased through the ceiling and flew outside before floating and turning solid. She smiled in wonder as she looked at her hands as they started glowing green and then she threw a ball of ecto energy out, she shot a ghost ray, then she formed a force-field around herself.
She dropped the shield and smiled at her hands with excitement as she said, "This is the coolest day of my life! Wait til I tell Danielle!"
She then started flying through the air and as she flew some people looked up and saw her as they cheered for her. She showed a flattered smile as she waved at them and spiraled through the air playfully with her arms out. She closed her eyes as she felt the wind in her face and then opened her eyes with an enchanted smile on her face.
She stopped and floated in the air as she happily said to herself, "I've never had so much fun!"
She was startled as she heard a voice say, "At least someone appreciates my talents."
She turned around to see Desiree floating in the air, smiling at her deviously as Jazz pointed at her and said, "Hey, I know you. You're Desiree. That genie ghost."
Desiree smugly looked at her as she said, "That's right, now tell me, are you pleased with your wish?"
Jazz eyes widened in realization as she said, "It was you! You did this to me!"
Desiree held her hands out toward her as she said, "Yes, now you have ghost powers, just like you wanted. Do you like it?"
Jazz smiled at herself before showing a serious expression as she said, "Actually yes, but I'm still gonna send you back to the Ghost Zone."
She then shot a ghost ray from her hands but Desiree avoided it and disappeared, leaving Jazz shocked.
She looked around and asked, "Where'd she go? I'd better find her before she grants more wishes."
Jazz took off flying as she started searching for Desiree but couldn't find any sign of her as she flew by city hall.
While she flew she glanced up as she thought aloud, "She must've escaped. Not good for my first day with ghost powers. Oh well, I'll find her later. I'd better get to school."
She was about to leave when she suddenly looked at city hall and noticed something that shocked her, Danny's statue was gone.
She floated in front of city hall and said, "What? Where's Danny's statue?"
Suddenly she heard and eerily familiar voice say, "Hello Jasmine."
Jazz turned to the source of the voice and she gasped in shock and horror as Vlad Masters came walking into the light.
He leered at her as she said, "Vlad?!"
He smiled evilly as he said, "That is Mayor Masters young lady."
Jazz was shocked as she said, "What?!"
Vlad kept smiling at her as he deviously said, "Amity Park is my city and as you know I won't stop until I have defeated you once and for all."
She was shocked before she glared at him and said, "I don't think so fruit loop!"
He kept leering at her as he said, "Oh don't be so sure. Being the mayor does offer me some protection against you, and besides you should be getting to school."
Jazz kept glaring at him as she hated to admit he was right, so she turned and flew away with her fists out.
As she flew she thought to herself and said, "Vlad must've wished to be mayor again. That would explain why Danny's statue is gone. I'd better tell Danny and find Desiree so I can reverse that."
As she flew away Vlad watched her with a vexed expression as he said, "That girl has been a pain in my butt for far too long."
Suddenly he heard Desiree say, "Her brother has been a pain for me for a long time."
He turned around as Desiree appeared behind him and he smiled as he said, "Ah, Desiree. To what do I owe this visit."
Desiree grinned deviously as she said, "Perhaps you have a wish."
Vlad smiled knowingly as he raised his right finger and said, "Oh no. I know how wishes work with you. They're always twisted so you pay the price. No thank you."
Desiree was disappointed but smiled evilly while she said, "I have something to tell you that I think you'll be interested in."
Vlad cocked his eyebrow as he curiously said, "I'm listening."
Meanwhile at Casper High
Jazz flew in and turned visible in the girls' bathroom before coming out and hurrying to class just before the bell rang.
She entered the classroom and Mr. Lancer smiled fondly at her as he said, "Ah, Ms. Fenton. Welcome. Please take a seat."
Jazz smiled politely as she said, "Thank you Mr. Lancer."
She sat down at a desk and opened her book as she got ready for class; later in the day she was walking through the hallway.
As she walked she thought about Vlad being mayor again and said, "I'd better find Danny. He needs to know about Vlad. Where is he?"
Suddenly she heard her brother yell, "Let go of me Dash!"
She took off running and she saw Danny, Tucker, and Sam with Dash and Kwan as Dash cruelly held Danny and said, "Don't think so Fenton! I get my math test back after lunch so I'm enjoying myself before I get the bad news!"
He shoved Danny in his locker and walked away laughing as he said, "That was fun. Makes me look forward to my big party tomorrow."
Kwan walked with him as he happily said, "Yeah! I'm bringing my wishbone collection so we can all make wishes!"
Jazz watched everything with confusion as she said, "I thought Dash stopped picking on Danny."
She walked over to the locker while Tucker and Sam looked at the locker door as Danny complained, "Man! It's the same thing every day! I wish there was some way to get some respect!"
Tucker held his palm up while he calmly said, "At least he didn't beat you up first."
Sam pointed her thumb in the direction Dash went and said, "Yeah but you should probably steer clear of him after lunch. He'll probably want to go for seconds after he sees his grade."
Jazz came up to them and looked at the locker as she said, "Hey guys. Danny are you okay?"
Inside the locker Danny stubbornly said, "Go away Jazz."
Jazz was shocked while Sam said, "Danny, come on. Jazz, would you use your powers to help him out of there?"
Jazz walked over to the locker as she kindly said, "Sure."
She turned her right arm intangible and phased it through the locker door and pulled Danny out as he fell to the floor.
He and Jazz's arm turned solid as Danny stood up and sarcastically said, "Thanks! The big hero comes to save her helpless brother again! What would I do without you?"
He left in a huff, leaving Jazz perplexed as she put her finger to her lip and said, "What's wrong with Danny today?"
Sam watched Danny leave as she folded her arms and said, "Oh you know. Same old same old."
Jazz then looked at Sam with a smile as she curiously said, "Do you two have any special plans tonight?"
Sam was confused as she said, "What?"
Jazz put her palms up as she inquired, "You know, anything special now that you two are dating?"
Sam put her hands up as she glared and said, "Whoa! Whoa! Hold on Jazz! He's my best friend."
Jazz was befuddled as she pointed at her and said, "But you two have been a couple ever since the Disasteroid."
She and Tucker were both confused as Tucker said, "The what?"
Jazz looked at him with a surprised expression as she said, "The Disasteroid. The big asteroid that almost destroyed the Earth."
Sam looked at Jazz like she was crazy as she said, "I don't know what you're talking about Jazz, but Danny and I are NOT a couple. I'm not dating him."
Tucker smiled coyly as she pointed at her and said, "Even though you DO like him."
Sam walked away angrily while Tucker laughed and followed her, leaving Jazz alone with a confused expression.
She placed her hand to her chin and glanced around and said, "Vlad must've wished the Disasteroid never happened. Which means Danny and Sam must've never gotten together and Vlad never revealed his secret, so Tucker isn't mayor anymore. But mom and dad know about my ghost powers so they must've found out about Danny some other way. This could be serious, I'd better find Desiree and fix this, and figure out what's bothering Danny."
She walked off to her next class and later after school she walked out and started searching for Danny.
She glanced around as she said to herself, "I better find Danny and tell him everything I know so far."
Suddenly she gasped and her breath turned blue and she became worried as she knew that it was her ghost sense going off, meaning a ghost was nearby.
Suddenly Skulker floated in front of her and grinned evilly as he said, "Hello ghost girl. Skulker has returned for the hunt."
Jazz glared daggers at him as she clinched her fists and fearlessly said, "I'm going ghost!"
She transformed into her ghost form and excitedly said, "I've always wanted to say that!"
She fought Skulker fiercely as she punched him in the face, kicked him in the chest, and fired several ghost rays that destroyed parts of his armor. Finally she sucked him into the Fenton Thermos but the fighting did not stop after that, she spent the rest of the day fighting ghosts. She was attacked by Kitten, Johnny 13, and Johnny's shadow, but Jazz concentrated her power and successfully made two duplicates of herself. All three of them fired ghost rays and defeated the three ghosts simultaneously, and Jazz smiled at her clones before merging back into one. Sometime afterwards she was attacked by Ember as she strummed her guitar and sent a fist of energy at her. Jazz dodged it and her eyes glowed blue before she shot a cold ray from her hands and froze Ember in a large chunk of ice. Later, it was dark when Jazz was approached by Technus in a large mechanical body he created from various pieces of technology. She stood on the ground and clinched her fists before she let out a Ghostly Wail, it sounded different than Danny's because of her voice, but it tore apart Technus' body leaving only himself.
Finally she was attacked by the Box Ghost as he exclaimed, "Beware!"
She was not amused as she showed an annoyed expression and sucked him into the Fenton Thermos. When she was finally done she flew home and phased into the living room before landing and turning human.
She cracked her back and showed a tired expression as she said, "Wow! What a day! Now I know how Danny feels."
Danny walked by her with an irritated expression as he sarcastically said, "Sure you do."
She smiled at him as she raised her hand and said, "Danny! You wouldn't believe the day I had."
He did not look at her as he said, "Yeah I know! You saved the day again, kicked several ghosts butt, and once again showed off how great you are."
Jazz walked up and put her hand on his shoulder as she said, "Danny what's wrong with you? You've been acting like this all day. What's bothering you? I've been trying to tell you…"
Danny turned around and angrily pointed at her as he angrily said, "You're what's bothering me! You just have to be so perfect! You're everything I'm not and you know it! You're smart, pretty, strong, and you're a hero!"
Jazz was shocked and hurt as she said, "You're a hero too."
Danny glared at her while pointing his thumb at himself as he angrily said, "I could be if I had ghost powers! I wanted to go into the portal like Sam told me, but no, you stopped me and went in yourself!"
Jazz was shocked but then thought and remembered herself saying "Sometimes I wish I was the one who got ghost powers."
She gasped as she realized what she really did and Danny pointed at her and angrily said, "If you hadn't stopped me I could've been the one to get ghost powers, or we could've both gotten ghost powers, but no! You had to do it yourself! Now you're the big genius ghost-fighting hero while I'm the same loser I've always been! You think you're so great but you're not! It's your fault Vlad's the mayor of Amity Park and he's out to get us! You're the great Jazz Phantom and I'm just a weak helpless kid!"
He turned around and walked away in a huff while Jazz watched him feeling sad and guilty about what he said.
Suddenly she noticed how quiet it was and said, "Uh… Danny…"
He stopped and stared forward as he said, "What?"
Jazz looked at him as she curiously said, "Where's Danielle?"
Danny looked at her in confusion as he said, "Who?"
Jazz became worried as she held her held her hand down at her side, then pointed at him while she said, "Danielle. Our little sister. About this tall, looks like you, has ghost powers."
Danny cocked an eyebrow as he said, "I only have one sister and you're her, I don't have a younger one, especially one with ghost powers."
He walked upstairs and left Jazz and she looked and gasped as she saw their family portrait on the wall, it was the old family portrait they had before Danielle moved in.
Jazz quickly became worried as she hastily said, "Oh no! OH NO!"
She quickly turned intangible and flew up to the second floor and entered the hall before turning solid and hurrying to Danielle's bedroom door.
She opened the door and went inside as she called, "Danielle!"
She gasped in horror as she saw that not only was Danielle not in it, but all of her things were gone; the room was just a guest room like it was before she moved in.
Jazz was horrified as she stared at the room and said, "What have I done?!"
Commercial break
Jazz paced the floor as she began to panic and said, "This is terrible! Vlad didn't do this! I did! I wished to be the one with ghost powers, so Desiree changed things so that I got them instead of Danny! Now he's getting bullied and feels insecure, and Vlad is still mayor because apparently the Disasteroid event never happened! So Danny and Sam aren't a couple and Danny is getting bullied by Dash!"
She looked at Danielle's empty bed as she heartbrokenly said, "And since Danny never got his powers that means Vlad never tried to clone him, so Danielle doesn't exist! I wished away my own little sister!"
She stared forward with a serious expression as she clinched her fist and said, "I've got to fix this! I have to find Desiree and make her return everything to normal! But I'm going to need help."
She hurried to Danny's room as he tried to work on a rocket when she burst through the door and shouted, "Danny!"
Danny got up and pointed at the door as he said, "Jazz I've had enough already! Get out of my room!"
Jazz spoke sincerely as she said, "Danny listen, I know you don't like me right now, and I don't like me either, but I need your help!"
Danny was shocked before he turned around and said, "Yeah right! What would you need me for? You're Jazz Phantom, you never do anything wrong!"
Jazz shook her head as she said, "That's not true Danny. I've made a terrible mistake and I need your help to fix it. You're the one who should have ghost powers."
Danny was shocked as he turned back to her and said, "What are you talking about?"
Jazz pulled out her wallet and opened it, revealing the pictures of her, Danny, and Danielle as she looked at them.
She handed her wallet to Danny to show him the pictures, and Danny curiously took the wallet and said, "What? What's this?"
She pointed at the picture of Danny flying in his ghost form while she said, "That's you flying through Amity Park as Danny Phantom."
She moved her finger down to the photo of herself with Danny and Danielle in their ghost forms while saying, "And that's you, me, and Danielle. She was created by Vlad using your DNA, but now she lives with us as our little sister."
Danny became speechless as he looked at Jazz and said, "I don't understand."
Jazz looked at him with guilt as she confessed, "It's my fault. You're supposed to be the one with ghost powers and I'm supposed to be normal. I wished that I was the one with ghost powers instead and Desiree changed it so that I got what I wanted."
Danny glared at her with rage as he said, "WHAT?!"
Jazz looked down at the floor as she sadly said, "If you hate me I don't blame you. I really messed up. You were the greatest hero on the planet and I took that away from you. I'm so sorry. Everyone loved you and I was so proud of you."
Danny's expression softened as he curiously asked, "Then why did you make that wish?"
She looked at him and held her palms out as she solemnly replied, "I didn't mean to, I was just expressing my feelings. I was proud of you but I wanted to know what it felt like to have powers and be a hero. I admit it does feel good but I never wanted to take that away from you. If I had known Desiree was listening I never would've said that."
Danny smiled as he admitted, "I know how you feel."
She expressed her guilt and regret as she said, "I got what I wanted but I took your life for myself and now Danielle is gone."
Danny showed a serious expression as he said, "One question: how do we fix this?"
She looked at him as she sincerely said, "We have to find Desiree. She can reverse everything. She has to grant any wish she hears, so I can make her change everything back, but I'm going to need your help to do it."
Danny narrowed his eyes in determination as he said, "I'm in!"
Jazz was touched as she hugged him, to his surprise, but he smiled as he hugged her back and shut his eyes.
He pushed her off of him and said, "I think we're gonna need a little more help if we're gonna pull this off."
The next day in the park
Danny and Jazz were with Tucker and Sam as they finished telling them everything about Desiree and Jazz's wish.
They stared at the Fenton siblings with shock and disbelief as Sam said, "So you're telling me Danny is supposed to have ghost powers and Jazz wished for it to be the other way around?"
Tucker pointed at them in astonishment as he said, "And you guys have a little sister who has ghost powers too?"
Jazz smiled sheepishly as she said, "Yeah, that about sums it up."
Danny held his hands up and then showed them the pictures in Jazz's wallet while he seriously said, "I know it sounds crazy, I didn't believe it at first, but then she showed me these."
Tucker and Sam stared at the pictures in amazement, and Sam stared at the picture of Danny flying in his ghost form.
She stared at it before smiling at Danny as she said, "Wow, I have to admit, you do look pretty cool as a ghost."
Danny showed a flattered smile as he said, "Uh… Thanks."
Tucker smiled coyly as he pointed at Danny and Sam while he said, "I guess he's your knight in shining armor."
Sam glared at him as she said, "Tucker!"
Jazz smiled as she raised her finger and said, "Actually he's right."
They all looked at her and simultaneously said, "Huh."
Jazz pointed at Sam, then Danny, while she explained, "You and Danny are a couple and you're both pretty popular."
Danny and Sam looked at each other with shocked expressions as they simultaneously exclaimed, "WHAT?!"
Tucker was very amused as he said, "I knew it! I always knew you two would end up together!"
Danny looked at Jazz as he angrily said, "Is there anything else that we should know?"
Jazz nodded and pointed at Tucker as she replied, "Yeah, Tucker is supposed to be the mayor of Amity Park."
Tucker was speechless as he said, "Say what?"
They all looked at her as she moved her hands around and explained, "You see in the correct reality Vlad revealed his true self to the world when he tried to hold the world hostage by sending a huge asteroid on a collision course with Earth."
Sam remembered what Jazz told her the day before and pointed at her as she said, "That's the Disasteroid thing you were talking about."
Jazz nodded and glanced around as she continued, "Yeah. Anyway, his plan didn't work so together the four of us came up with a plan to save the Earth by turning the planet intangible."
They all gasped in awe as Danny said, "Whoa!"
She pointed at Tucker then Danny, then she held her hand out toward Tuck while she said, "Yeah, so Tucker led the effort to do it and Danny's secret was revealed to everyone. So when we saved the world Danny became the most famous hero on the planet and Tucker became the youngest mayor of Amity Park."
Tucker immediately got happy as he said, "That's all I need to hear! I'm in! Let's find this ghost and wish everything the way it should be!"
Sam agreed as she pointed at Tucker and looked at Jazz as she curiously said, "Tucker's right. How do we find Desiree?"
Jazz looked up at the sky in thought as she put her finger on her chin while she said, "Well, she's a genie ghost who grants wishes, and with each wish she grants she becomes more powerful. So she would go somewhere where people would be making wishes. But where would that be?"
Danny pointed his thumb at a fountain as he suggested, "How about a wishing well?"
Jazz thought and waved her hand as she said, "No, she would probably want to go somewhere where a lot of people would be wishing at the same time."
The others all thought and then Sam snapped her fingers in realization as she said, "Dash's party tonight! Kwan said he's bringing his collection of wishbones for them to break! They'll be making wishes as they break the bones in half!"
Jazz pointed at her as she said, "You're right! We have to go there and stop her!"
The four of them took off running, unaware they were being watched as an invisible Vlad Plasmius floated by.
He overheard everything they said and watched them leave as he coldly said to himself, "I don't think so children."
Later that night
The party was going on at Dash's house as Jazz flew Danny, Tucker, and Sam onto a rooftop across the street from his house. Sam and Jazz were watching the party through Dash's window using binoculars as they watched people talk.
Tucker started to get bored as he said, "How much longer are we just gonna sit here?"
Jazz looked at him as she seriously answered, "We're not going anywhere until Desiree shows up."
Danny started to lose patience as he looked at Jazz and said, "And when is she supposed to show up exactly?"
Jazz looked at him and Tucker as she replied, "She'll probably show up once they all start wishing."
Sam was looking through her binoculars as she urgently said, "Which might be right now!"
Jazz looked through her binoculars and they watched as Kwan walked up to a table holding a suitcase.
Inside the house he opened it to reveal a bunch of wishbones as he said, "Okay, here are all my wishbones."
Dash smiled happily said, "Nice! Let's start wishing!"
He and Kwan took a wishbone and held both ends before pulling it apart and Paulina did the same thing with Star. Meanwhile, outside the house, Desiree appeared as she listened to everyone's wishes and smiled deviously.
Her hands started glowing pink as she said, "So you have wished it…"
Suddenly she was hit by a ghost ray from behind and she turned around to see Jazz floating in the air above Danny, Sam, and Tucker.
Jazz glared daggers at her as her right hand glowed green while she angrily said, "I've got a wish for you to grant!"
Desiree smiled deviously as she said, "Ah, I had a feeling I would see you. Not happy with your last wish?"
Jazz kept glaring at Desiree as she said, "You gave me powers but took away Danny's! You made things worse for everyone close to me!"
Desiree placed her left hand on her chest as she smiled gloatingly and said, "I just gave you wanted. Don't blame me if it wasn't what you expected."
Jazz squinted her eyes as she declared, "Well I'm going to fix it right now. I wish…"
She was cut off as she cried in pain when she was hit from behind by a purple ghost ray as Danny said, "Jazz!"
She was knocked down on the rooftop and she and the others turned as they heard a familiar voice say, "I'm sorry dear, but we don't take requests."
They saw Vlad floating on the other side of the rooftop as Jazz and Danny exclaimed, "Vlad?!"
Vlad smiled evilly as he said, "Hello Jasmine. Hello Daniel."
Danny glared at him as he demanded, "What are you doing here?"
Vlad smiled confidently as he said, "I'm here to ensure that this reality stays the way it is. You may not like it this way, but I like it better than the alternative."
Jazz was shocked as she pointed at him and said, "You know?"
Vlad glared at her while pointing at Desiree while he said, "Yes girl! Desiree told me all about your little wish and about what happened to me in the correct reality. Danielle is the big hero while Vlad Plasmius is forced to live in exile in space. Well not this time!"
He fired purple ghost rays from his hands at them but Jazz quickly held her hands out and formed an ecto shield over herself and the others. She blocked his rays and dropped her force-field before throwing a ball of ecto energy at him and knocking him down but he quickly got back up and flew at them. He punched Jazz and knocked her away from the others, but she recovered and floated in the air as Plasmius flew toward her and made two duplicates of himself. Jazz glared back at him as she successfully created two duplicates of herself and they all prepared to fight the three Vlads.
The true Vlad smiled evilly as he said, "This should be fun."
They continued to fight while Danny, Tucker, and Sam watched them; while they were distracted Desiree turned her attention back to the party. Her hands glowed pink as she started granting the kids wishes while she held out her hands, which glowed pink. Inside the house Dash suddenly turned into a large hulking monster, Kwan became a superhero, Paulina turned into a mermaid in a giant aquarium, and Star turned into a rockstar. More kids in the party made wishes as they broke wishbones while Desiree grew more powerful as she granted their wishes.
She smiled evilly as she grew to a giant size with a pink aura surrounding her as she said, "Yes! Yes! Keep wishing!"
Jazz and her clones were still fighting Vlad and his when Jazz looked at Desiree and said, "Oh no!"
The original Vlad smiled as he said, "Yes dear girl. I'm afraid it's too late for you to unwish your little problem."
Suddenly Danny shouted, "I wouldn't bet on that!"
He held up a bazooka and blasted Vlad from below, and he looked down and snarled as he saw Danny, Tucker, and Sam all holding bazookas. Tucker and Sam fired theirs as they blasted Vlad's duplicates and made them disappear, enraging Vlad as he flew down toward them.
Jazz watched with concern before looking at Desiree in her giant form, then she pointed at Vlad and said, "You guys keep him busy! I'll handle Desiree!"
She flew away while Vlad flew down and fired a ghost ray from his left hand, prompting them to scatter before blasting at him. He avoided their blasts before trying to attack them only for them to dodge as he looked around and grew angrier.
Desiree smiled as she looked at her hands and said, "Yes! This is all that I could've wished for!"
Suddenly Jazz flew up to her face and said, "Yeah? Well I wish-"
Desiree cut her off as she hit her with her hand and knocked her away and Jazz angrily said, "Okay, we'll do this the hard way."
She put her hands together and fired a ghost ray at Desiree, but she smiled evilly as she tilted her head to the side and dodged it. She turned her hand into a mallet and swung it at Jazz and knocked her through the air, prompting Jazz to cry in pain. She recovered as she floated in the air, only for Desiree to move her tail at her and wrapped it completely around Jazz's body, leaving only hear head visible. She grunted as she failed to break free, and Desiree flipped through the air as she whirled her tail with Jazz vertically before slamming her on the ground and letting go.
Jazz groaned before getting back up as she glared at Desiree, who gloated, "You can't do anything unless I wish it!"
Jazz's eyes glowed blue as she said, "Oh yeah!"
She fired an ice ray at Desiree and froze her head as Desiree looked scared, but then she broke the ice off and glared at Jazz angrily. She stretched her arm out and tried to grab Jazz, but Jazz swiftly avoided it as she flew at Desiree and punched her in the face three times before kicking her. Desiree grunted furiously as she grabbed Jazz in her enormous fist and then threw her into a building, but Jazz phased out and kept fighting. Meanwhile Danny, Sam, and Tucker continued to fight Vlad as they blasted their bazookas at him together, only for Vlad to phase down through the rooftop and disappear.
They looked around as Danny nervously said, "Where'd he go?"
Suddenly Vlad emerged from underneath Danny as he grabbed him by his neck and lifted him up, prompting Danny to drop his bazooka.
Tucker and Sam aimed their weapons at Vlad as Tucker said, "Hold on buddy!"
Vlad swung his right hand as he knocked Sam and Tucker down, then he lifted Danny up as he smiled at him evilly.
Danny looked down at Vlad as he gloated, "Poor Daniel. You were once the greatest hero on Earth, now you're nothing. Only a mere boy with no powers, living in his older sister's shadow while everyone looks down on him."
Danny was not deterred as he looked down at Vlad and said, "Well for the first time in my life, I actually do feel like a hero."
Vlad pulled back his right hand as it glowed purple while he said, "Well then, I suppose you'll die a hero too."
Suddenly Sam got up with her bazooka and demanded, "Get away from my boyfriend!"
She blasted Vlad away, causing him to scream in pain and drop Danny as Sam went up to him, and Danny smiled at her gratefully. He grabbed his bazooka as Tucker joined them and then they continued to fight Vlad as he flew at them angrily. Meanwhile Jazz kept fighting Desiree as she swiped her left leg through the air and sent a wave of ecto energy at her face, causing Desiree to cry in pain as she put her hand on her face.
Jazz looked at her as she angrily demanded, "Enough of this! I wish everything was…"
Desiree smugly looked at her as she pointed at earplugs she was wearing and said, "What? Sorry I can't hear you."
Jazz gritted her teeth furiously as Desiree held out her hands and turned some cars into monsters that attacked Jazz. While they attacked her Desiree started granting some more wishes as she changed more guests in the party. Jazz duplicated herself three times and she and her clones fought the four car monsters as they flew at them. One of them kicked a car monster and knocked it back while another hit the second monster with a ghost ray and knocked against the other. Another Jazz swiped her right leg vertically through the air and sent a wave of ecto energy out that knocked one car monster toward the other two. The last Jazz punched the remaining car monster in the face twice, then she put her hands against its underbelly and lifted it in the air before throwing it at the other three. The four car monsters stood up as they roared while all four Jazzes lined up in a row and glared daggers at them as their eyes glowed blue. They held their hands out and fired ice rays that froze all four car monsters in a large piece of ice, trapping them.
The real Jazz looked serious as she turned back to Desiree as she said, "Now, let's see if we can get this wish done!"
She and her duplicates took flight while Desiree laughed maniacally until she was punched in the face by Jazz. The giant genie ghost was knocked back as she tried to grab Jazz, but she was attacked by one of her duplicates as she kicked her in the face. Jazz and her duplicates ganged up on Desiree as they hit her hard and forced her away from Dash's house. Two of them flew at Desiree and punched her in the face together and then the other two fired ghost rays at the sides of her head. Desiree grew angrier as she tried to grab them but they flew around her and avoided her hands while they kept hitting her. Meanwhile Danny, Tucker, and Sam fired all their bazookas at the same time and blasted Vlad, knocking him off the rooftop.
Danny turned and watched Jazz and her duplicates fight Desiree and drive her away as he urgently said, "Jazz! Come on!"
He, Tucker, and Sam took off running to catch up with Jazz as she and her duplicates continued fighting Desiree. They managed to drive her to the park as they all fired ghost rays at her simultaneously, causing her to let out a cry of pain.
Desiree shot them death glares as she said, "I wish you would give up already!"
She turned her left hand into an axe and swung it at the Jazzes but they all dodged her and flew at her as all four of them punched her in the face at the same time. They sent Desiree falling to the ground as the giant genie ghost crashed down and made the ground shake. Danny, Tucker, and Sam ran to join them as Jazz and her duplicates surrounded Desiree as she started to get up and glared at the real Jazz.
Jazz glared at her as she seriously said, "Let's see if she can hear this!"
She and her duplicates all took a deep breath and then they all let out four ghostly wails at the same time. Desiree covered her ears as she screamed in pain as the four Jazzes unleashed the power of the ghostly wail on her from four directions. They kept pouring it on while Danny, Tucker, and Sam covered their ears too but watched as Jazz and her clones kept using their ghostly wails. Desiree kept screaming in agony as she started shrink down to her normal size and her powers weakened. Eventually she lied back on the ground as she covered her ears until Jazz and her duplicates stopped and merged back into one.
Jazz and the others walked to Desiree while Vlad flew behind them and stared at them with his mouth agape in fear.
Desiree looked up at the teens as Jazz glared at her and said, "Want some more?"
Desiree held up her hand as she begged, "No! Please! No more! I'll do anything you want! Tell me your wish!"
Jazz looked serious as she demanded, "I wish everything was back to the way it was before I made my wish, and that the nobody remembers any of this except me, Danny, Sam, and Tucker."
Vlad watched in fear as he exclaimed, "NOOO!"
Desiree sighed in defeat as she held her hand up as it glowed pink while she said, "So you have wished it, so it shall be."
A pink light came from her hand and expanded out as it consumed everything, changing reality back to normal. Vlad suddenly disappeared, then Jazz reverted to being human while Danny suddenly went ghost.
He smiled as he floated and looked at his hands and said, "Yes! Danny Phantom is back! Thanks Jazz."
Jazz smiled at him as she handed him the Fenton Thermos and said, "You're welcome. Here you go."
Danny smiled gratefully as he sucked Desiree into the Fenton Thermos, then the car monsters she made turned back to normal and so did everyone at Dash's party.
Danny put the lid on the Thermos and smiled at Jazz as he said, "We did it. Everything's back to normal. Good job Jazz. I hate to say it but you were great with ghost powers."
She showed a flattered smile as she said, "Thanks Danny. That means a lot."
Sam grabbed Danny and kissed him on the lips before she smiled lovingly and said, "Good to have my boyfriend back."
Danny smiled at her, then Tucker looked at his watch and smiled proudly as he held his backpack straps and said, "Well this has been fun but I should get going. The mayor has a big day at the office tomorrow."
Jazz smiled at Danny and pointed her thumb back as she said, "That's a good idea Tucker. We should get going Danny before you miss your curfew."
Danny smiled as he nodded and said, "Yeah, you're right."
He took her arm and then started flying through the air as Tucker and Sam happily waved "goodbye" to them. As they flew home they took a detour and passed city hall, where they saw the statue of Danny holding the Earth back where it belonged. As they flew over the city people looked up at them and cheered Danny's name as he and Jazz looked down at them.
Danny smiled humbly and proudly as he looked at Jazz and honestly said, "It feels good to be the hero again. Sorry you had to give it up Jazz."
Jazz smiled as she glanced around and honestly said, "It's okay. It was fun while it lasted, and I do think it is better this way. You deserve the attention more than I do, and I do have a pretty good life with or without ghost powers."
He flew them home as he phased them into the living room before he landed and turned human as he and Jazz smiled at each other.
Just then, Danielle walked in and happily said, "Hey guys. Where have you been all day? I've been…"
She was interrupted as Jazz immediately ran at her and scooped her off the ground and gave her a big smothering hug.
Danielle looked uncomfortable as Jazz hugged her tightly with her eyes closed as she said, "Danielle I'm so happy to see you! I missed you SO MUCH!"
Danielle looked at Danny with confusion as she said, "What's going on?"
Danny showed an amused smile as he said, "Long story. I'll tell you tomorrow."
Jazz opened her eyes as she stared lovingly at Danielle and kept hugging her as she said, "I'm just really glad you exist."
Danielle was confused as she replied, "Uh… Thanks. I'm glad you exist too."
Jazz shut her eyes again as she held Danielle close while Danielle looked at her nervously and Danny watched as he started laughing.

Author's note: I wanted to show what I think it might be like if Jazz had ghost powers instead of Danny. In "Reality Trip" we saw that Jazz has Ghost Envy so I could picture her wanting ghost powers and wishing for them. Now I didn't want her to turn evil like Tucker did so I thought it would be better to have the wish backfire by changing everything. She and Danny had a strained relationship, Vlad was still mayor, and the last straw was Danielle not existing. Please review.
