He gets a new member of family and faces many enemies, old and new. Danny faces man dangers and challenges, including the return of the Ultimate Enemy. Please read and review.

12. Phantom Extinction

Danny Phantom Forever

Note: This chapter will introduce some of my own original characters. I will also make a couple of references to the Jurassic Park movies and Night at the Museum.

Phantom Extinction

It was nighttime in Amity Park and Danny was busy fighting Technus as he floated in the air and shot an ecto-ray at him. Danielle blocked it with a force-field and dropped it as he prepared to attack Danny, but Danielle flew behind him and kicked him.

She sent him crashing down to the street, but he got up and angrily said, "You children will pay for ruining my chance to rule the world with Holocaust!"

Danny and Danielle floated in front of him as Danny impatiently said, "Let it go already Technus!"

Danielle agreed as she said, "Yeah! You lost before and you'll lose again!"

Technus glared at them while he held his hands out as they glowed green as exclaimed, "Foolish children! Witness my technological mastery!"

He then summoned various pieces of technology out of stores nearby, and they assembled over Technus to create a large robust robot body.

He clinched his fists as he looked at the two Phantoms and yelled, "Behold the future!"

Danny showed no fear as he replied, "I'd rather live in the present."

He and Danielle flew at Technus and together they fought bravely while also demonstrating effective teamwork. Danny punched Technus in the face while Danielle flew behind him and kicked his legs; both of these attacks knocked Technus onto his back. He got back up and held his arms up as makeshift weapons came out of his forearms and aimed at the siblings. Danny and Danielle put their hands together as they fired rays of ecto-energy that destroyed Technus' weapons before he could fire. Technus was shocked as he stared at his destroyed weapons before glaring at Danny and Danielle as he ran at them. Danielle swiped her left leg horizontally through the air and sent a wave of ecto energy at Technus, knocking him back. Immediately after the wave hit him Danny came flying at him with a ghostly tail and punched him in the face. He knocked him back into a wall, but Technus got up and kept fighting as he flew at Danny and Danielle, only for Danielle to do an axe kick and send him crashing to the ground again. His mechanical body was damaged and sparking as he got up, only for Danny to float in front of him with his hands and eyes glowing blue. He froze Technus in place and then Danielle made a ball of ecto-energy in her hands and launched it at him, shattering him to pieces.

Technus emerged from the broken technology and furiously yelled, "You children are neanderthals!"

Danny and Danielle stood in front of him smiling victoriously as Danny held a Fenton Thermos and said, "Sorry brainiac, but breaking things is what we're good at."

Danielle smiled up at Danny as she excitedly said, "Ooh Danny, can I use the Fenton Thermos this time? Please! Please! Please!"

Danny chuckled as he happily handed her the Thermos and said, "Sure Danielle. Here you go."

She smiled eagerly as she pulled the lid off and sucked Technus into the Fenton Thermos as he cried in defeat.

Danielle put the lid back on and smiled happily at Danny as she said, "That was so cool!"

Danny smiled as he affectionately rubbed Danielle's head then pointed his thumb aside while he said, "Yeah, way to go little Phantom! Now let's head home. We've got school tomorrow."

Danielle hung her arms as she whined, "Aww! Why can't the weekend last a little longer?"

Danny sympathized as he shrugged his shoulders and said, "Sorry Dani. I've got a fieldtrip to the museum of natural history tomorrow, and you've got your math test Friday."

Danielle looked down as she complained, "Don't remind me."

Danny put his hand on her shoulder as he empathized and said, "Believe me, school's no fun for me either but it is important. You'll understand when you're older. Now let's go."

He then took flight and Danielle sighed in exasperation as she followed him; they both flew with ghostly tails as they headed home. They flew over the museum of natural history, but inside the museum there was a new caveman exhibit that showed a skeleton wearing a fur pelt, a loincloth, and holding a club. The skeletal caveman suddenly started glowing green as its eye sockets were filled with red lights and it made a mysterious noise.

Opening theme

The title card for the episode was then displayed while the calm but mysterious theme music played in the background. The title card showed an image of Danny flying away in fear as a ghost caveman pointed at him viciously while ghost dinosaurs and other prehistoric animals chased Danny. It was a calm and peaceful day when Danny and his class were brought to the Amity Park Museum of Natural History.

The students all walked through a room full of dinosaur fossils as Mr. Lancer happily said, "These specimens you see before you are only a few of the many species of dinosaurs that once ruled the Earth sixty-five million years ago. As you all know the Tyrannosaurus Rex was an apex predator of its time, but it was not the only carnivore to roam the world or the biggest. The Spinosaurus was the largest carnivore to ever walk the Earth, but Velociraptors were the smartest. They hunted in packs and were extremely intelligent, able to effectively outsmart their prey and bring down dinosaurs much larger than them."

Tucker looked at four skeletons of Velociraptors and smiled as he held up his PDA and jokingly said, "I bet they weren't smart enough to download a new game on their PDAs."

Sam and Danny smiled at his joke before Mr. Lancer pointed at skeletons hanging from the ceiling and said, "Terrifying beasts also ruled the sky as many species of Pterosaurs flew through the air, snatching prey off the ground and carrying them to their deaths."

Danny smiled as he folded his arms and proudly said, "They couldn't outfly me."

Mr. Lancer moved his hands to refer to other skeletons as he said, "With all these frightening beasts roaming the world, other dinosaurs evolved special features to protect themselves. The Triceratops evolved its horns to impale its enemies when charging at them, the Ankylosaurus evolved special armor for defense and a clubbed tail for battle, and the Stegosaurus evolved spikes on its tail to swing at enemies."

Sam smiled as she looked at the skeletons and said, "I would've liked to see these things in action."

Mr. Lancer led the class into another room with fossils of prehistoric mammals and cavemen as he said, "And once these enormous beasts went extinct the world was ruled by mammals, including our regal ancestors."

He showed them the new caveman exhibit and Tucker jokingly said, "If Lancer keeps talking maybe we'll become new exhibits."

The other kids laughed until Lancer sarcastically said, "Very funny Mr. Foley. Will you be here all week?"

Tucker and the others looked nervous as Lancer seriously said, "Children it is important that you pay attention. We are supposed to be evolved. Without school we would be no smarter than these cavemen on display here in the museum."

Mr. Lancer walked away and when he was gone Danny walked up to it and curiously touched the caveman's skull.

He turned to the others as he joked, "Our ancestors huh? He does look kind of like my grandpa."

The others laughed at his joke until the caveman skeleton started glowing green and Sam nervously said, "Danny…"

Danny did not listen as he held his hand out, smiling as he happily said, "Wait, wait, hold on Sam. I got a better one."

Suddenly his ghost sense went off and Sam pointed behind him as she urgently said, "Danny look!"

He turned around and was shocked as he saw the skeleton glowing green before it transformed in a bright flash of light. They all shut their eyes and opened them and were shocked to see the caveman was now a ghost smiling evilly at them. He had green skin, huge muscles, broad shoulders, red eyes, long black hair, and large hands and feet; the only thing that looked the same was the outfit he had on before.

Mr. Lancer was extremely shocked as he exclaimed, "Night at the Museum!"

The caveman snarled as he evilly said, "I evolve!"

Danny then narrowed his eyes as he fiercely said, "And now you're history! I'm going ghost!"

He transformed into his ghost form and flew at the ghost caveman as he tried to punch him, but the caveman ghost grabbed Danny's fist. He held him in place and then swung his club at him and knocked him down to the floor before smiling maniacally.

Danny got up and asked, "Who are you?"

The ghost stared at Danny as he said, "I am Mungor!"

Danny glared at the ghost caveman as he sarcastically said, "Mungor? Nice name."

Mungor spoke in a deep voice, sounding a bit primitive as he pointed at Danny and said, "Many moons ago I was a great caveman leader. Then my tribe left me alone to perish. My spirit was trapped in my body until you set me free, ghost cub!"

Danny was shocked as he exclaimed, "Me?!"

Sam looked at Danny as she pointed at him and urgently said, "Your ghost powers must've somehow released him when you touched the fossil."

Mungor kept looking at Danny as he said, "Now that I'm free, I can make the world better, like it used to be."

Danny was confused as he looked at Mungor and said, "If you want to discover fire it's a little late for that."

Mungor angrily looked around and looked at the other kids as he said, "The world is so different now! I don't like it! It's not the same! It's worse than it was before!"

He looked at Tucker and saw the PDA in his hand, then he yelled in rage as he jumped at Tucker, knocked his PDA out of his hand, and smashed it to pieces on the floor.

Tucker angrily asked, "What'd you do that for?"

Mungor angrily looked at Tucker as he said, "Technology is bad! It's too hard and stupid! I hate it!"

Mungor then swung his club and knocked Tucker and some other kids to the floor, then Danny flew at him and knocked him away from them. He tackled him to the ground but Mungor forced him off and swung his club on top of him, making Danny cry in pain.

Sam came to help Danny as she held him and they looked at Mungor as he said, "I'll make the world better! I'll return it to a simpler time, my time! I'll send the world back to the stone age!"

He then turned intangible and flew through a wall, escaping as everyone watched him with baffled expressions.

Later at Fenton Works

Jazz was sitting on the couch reading a book when Danielle walked in through the front door with her backpack, having just returned from school. She held the straps of her backpack as she walked in staring at the floor while she let out a sad sigh of disappointment.

Jazz showed concern as she said, "Hey Danielle. What's wrong?"

Danielle looked at Jazz and walked to her as she asked, "Can you promise not to tell mom and dad?"

Before Jazz could answer they both jumped as they heard Jack say, "Promise not to tell us what?"

They turned to see Jack and Maddie standing in the kitchen, glaring at Danielle as Jack had his arms folded and Maddie had her hands on her hips.

Danielle was nervous when Jazz urged her, "Just get it over with."

Danielle sighed in exasperation as she pulled a piece of paper handed it to them as she said, "I got my last math test back today."

Maddie took it and angrily said, "A D?!"

Danielle held her palms up as she apologized, "I'm sorry! I tried! I really did."

Maddie put her hands back on her hips as she strictly said, "Danielle this becoming serious. If you don't get your grade up you may end up having to go to summer school."

Danielle began to panic as she said, "I can't go to summer school! There's no air conditioning! I'll sweat like a pig!"

Jack glared at Danielle as he angrily said, "Well then I suggest you start working on getting your grade up young lady!"

Jazz smiled hopefully as she held her left hand out toward Danielle and said, "She does have another math test this Friday. That's a great chance to bring her grade up."

Danielle was uncertain as she looked at Jazz and said, "Yeah but…"

Jack interrupted her as he angrily said, "That's enough out of you missy!"

Maddie sternly looked at Danielle and said, "Danielle listen, you're a Fenton. Fentons get A's."

Jack raised his finger as he said, "Or at least solid B minuses."

Maddie pointed her right finger at Danielle as she seriously said, "Until you pass your math test on Friday you are grounded with no TV, videogames, or ghost fighting until then."

Danielle was shocked as she said, "What?!"

Jack glared at Danielle with his fists on his sides as he strictly said, "Now no whining out of you missy!"

Maddie kept staring at Danielle as she seriously said, "I'm sorry Danielle but you need to do well in school. Jazz and Danny know this and it's time you learn too."

Danielle looked up at her parents as she asked, "But what about Danny? What if a ghost attacks and I can't help him?"

Maddie smiled confidently as she said, "Sweetie, Danny's been fighting ghosts on his own long before you moved in with us. I'm sure he can handle one week without you."

Jack smiled in agreement as he said, "Yeah, and if he has his hands full he's always got his old man to help him out."

They both showed stern expressions again as Maddie pointed at Danielle and said, "Now I expect you to get to work on studying for your math test starting today."

Danielle sighed in exasperation as she said, "Yes mom."

Maddie and Jack both walked out of the living room together and left Danielle and Jazz alone as Danielle took her backpack off.

She pulled out her math textbook and looked at Jazz as she stressfully said, "Can you believe this?"

Jazz sympathized as she said, "Sorry Danielle but mom and dad are right. You need to do well in school so you can have a good future when you grow up. It's hard work but it's important."

Danielle held her right arm out as she said, "So is protecting Amity Park from ghost attacks, but now I can't help Danny."

Jazz smiled optimistically as she said, "Don't worry Danielle. I'm sure Danny will be fine without. What's the worst that can happen?"

Just then Danny, walked in through the front door with his hair a mess, Danny and Jazz looked at him as Jazz asked, "Danny, what happened?"

Danny looked at them as he tediously said, "Some fieldtrip."

Sometime later, Danny was sitting on the couch with Jazz and Danielle, having told them about Mungor, and they also told him about Danielle's bad grade and grounding.

Jazz looked at Danny with surprise as she said, "A caveman ghost? That's a new one."

Danny nodded and showed a serious expression as he said, "Yeah, and now he's loose in Amity Park. I've gotta find him and kick his butt."

Danielle looked up at Danny as she apologized, "I wish I could help you Danny, but I'm grounded."

Danny smiled confidently as he said, "That's okay Danielle. I can handle this guy by myself. He's not so tough or very bright. I've got Tucker and Sam keeping an eye out for him too. I'll find him and I'll throw him into the Ghost Zone with the rest of spirits of the past. You just focus on passing your test Friday."

Danielle was nervous as she said, "But, what if I fail?"

Jazz smiled as she believed in Danielle and said, "You can do it Danielle. I know you can."

Danny had a similar smile as he said, "Yeah, you've got this. No problem."

Danielle smiled with appreciation when Maddie came in and pointed at the ceiling while she said, "Alright kids, that's enough for now. Up to your room Danielle. Time to study."

Danielle sighed in exasperation as she got her book and started walking while she said, "Yes mam."

She walked up to her room while Maddie watched her; later that night Danny flew out to search for Mungor. He could not find any sign of him as it grew late, after hours of searching Danny flew back home, unaware that Mungor was watching him. Mungor was standing on a rooftop, hiding behind a chimney as he watched Danny fly away before he took off running and jumping across rooftops. Meanwhile Danielle was in her room studying math but she was not having much luck and she kept getting distracted. Jack and Maddie would come in and check on her to make sure she was studying but their pressure did not help her. At one point she decided to take a break, so she took her TV remote and prepared to turn on the TV in her room, but Jack walked in and caught her. He took the remote from her and crushed it in his fist before pointing at her book, prompting Danielle to go back to studying. The next day, after school Danny went out searching for Mungor while Danielle went straight home to study for her math test. Danny spent hours searching for Mungor but couldn't find him as the sun went down and it started getting dark.

Danny was flying over the city with a ghostly tail as he called Tucker on his cellphone and said, "Nothing. You having any luck Tucker?"

Tucker was in his office at City Hall, sitting at his desk as he spoke to Danny on his phone and said, "Nope. So far no one's reported any sightings of caveman ghost, and Sam told me she hasn't found anything either."

Danny kept flying as he looked around and said, "That's weird. I would've thought he'd be smashing every piece of tech he could find."

Tucker then theorized, "Maybe he left town to go live in the woods."

Danny kept flying as he said, "No, he said he wanted to return the world to the stone age. I'm not sure how he plans to do that but he's not so smart anyway, so it's probably nothing to worry about. Let me know if you find anything. I'll try again tomorrow."

He hung up and flew home as he decided to check on Danielle as he phased into her room before turning human. He saw Danielle lying on her bed, sulking as she tossed a small foam basketball through the goal on the back of her door.

Danny looked at her as he curiously said, "Hey Dani. How's the studying going?"

She sat up as she sadly said, "Not good. I'm not doing so good on this. If I don't pass this test mom and dad will never let me do anything again!"

Danny looked at her as he related, "You know, something like this happened to me once."

Danielle looked at Danny with interest as she said, "Really?"

Danny glanced around in thought as he replied, "Yeah. I failed a big test Lancer gave me. He made me retake it so mom and dad forbid me from playing Doom until I passed the test, and Technus was in the game so I couldn't stop him."

Danielle was surprised as she curiously asked, "What did you do?"

Danny looked down at her as he smiled and honestly said, "I studied hard and I got an A minus on the retake."

Danielle showed a lack of confidence as she said, "I don't think I'm smart enough to pass my math test."

Danny smiled down at her with faith as he said, "Sure you are."

Suddenly Danny's cellphone rang, he answered it and said, "Sam?"

Sam was outside on her electric scooter as she spoke into her cellphone and said, "Danny, I found Mungor. He's breaking into the natural history museum."

Danny was confused as he said, "The museum? But that's where he came from before he escaped."

Sam was just as confused as she theorized, "Maybe he forgot something and came back for it."

Danny spoke honestly as he said, "Well, I guess we'll find out. Hang tight Sam, I'll be there soon."

He hung up and transformed into his ghost form while Danielle happily said, "Yes! Let's go kick some butt! And…"

She stopped when she stared into space and Danny turned to see their parents standing in Danielle's doorway glaring at them.

Maddie looked at Danny as she said, "Danny, you go catch that ghost."

Danny nodded and turned intangible as he flew out while Jack and Maddie kept glaring sternly at Danielle.

Danielle walked over to her bed as she said, "I'll get back to work."

She started studying as her parents watched her for a moment before leaving, Danielle kept studying with a bored expression. Meanwhile Danny flew through the sky with a ghostly tail as he phased into the natural history museum and searched for Mungor. His legs reformed as he walked into the room full of dinosaur skeletons and glanced around for Mungor.

As Danny searched as he spoke up and said, "Come out Mungor. I know you're here somewhere."

Suddenly Danny stepped into a rope trap, which snagged his ankle as he hung upside down and let out a cry of shock.

Mungor looked up at Danny with an evil smile as he said, "I caught my prey!"

Danny was impressed as he looked at Mungor and said, "You set a trap for me? You're not as dumb as I thought."

Mungor stared back at Danny with a forceful expression and said, "I'm a caveman, not stupid."

Danny then phased out of the rope and then floated up as he said, "Well you'll have to be smarter than that to beat me!"

Mungor angrily swung his club at Danny, but Danny dodged him and then punched him in the face, knocking him down before Mungor got back up.

He blasted the club out of Mungor's hand and gloated, "Let's see how you do without your little bat!"

Mungor smiled deviously as he held up his right arm and then energy appeared as a spear appeared in his hand.

He threw the spear at Danny, startling him as he said, "Whoa!"

He dodged the spear as it stuck the wall and wiggled a bit before Danny turned back to Mungor, who created mallets made of stone and wood. He jumped at Danny and swung one of the mallets at him, knocking Danny aside before he tried to smash him with them both. Danny turned intangible and phased down through the floor, avoiding the mallets as Mungor slammed them on the floor. Danny came back out and punched Danielle, knocking him back against a wall as his mallets disappeared. Mungor fell to the floor and glared at Danny as he snarled while Danny smiled overconfidently at him. Mungor stood up and held his arms over his head as he used his powers to create a huge boulder, which he threw right at Danny. Danny was startled as the boulder hit him before disappearing, hurting Danny as he held his head in pain.

Danny was impressed as he seriously said, "This guy's tougher than he looks, better stop messing around and take him down."

He put his hands together and fired an ecto-ray from them at Mungor, but he dodged them and then threw a statue at Danny. Danny phased through the statue as it broke behind him, he floated in front of Mungor, who glared at him as he created a bow and arrows out of energy and shot them at Danny. Danny flew and dodged them, but the last one tore his suit and left a small cut as he leaked ectoplasmic goo from his side. He cried in pain when this happened, then Mungor created a vine out of energy and jumped at Danny as he tied him up with it.

Danny struggled and glared at Mungor as he said, "Can't go intangible! Okay Tarzan, not bad but I'm still gonna kick your butt back to the stone age!"

Mungor smiled evilly at Danny as he pointed his right finger down and said, "The stone age is now."

Danny was confused as he asked, "What are you talking about?"

Mungor chuckled evilly as he turned around and stared at all of the dinosaur skeletons and raised his hands as they started glowing green. The dinosaur skeletons started glowing green suddenly and then the T-Rex skeleton started moving and walking by itself. Suddenly the T-Rex skeleton became a ghost as it gained green skin and red eyes and a very monstrous appearance as it roared. The other dinosaur skeletons transformed as well, for they too became ghosts and gained frightening appearances as they roared viciously. The Triceratops gained extra horns on its head, the Pterosaurs grew sharper beaks and talons, the Ankylosaurus' armor became more robust and the club on the tail became rounder with small spikes on it. The Spinosaurus gained small thumbs on its large hands, the Stegosaurus grew longer spikes along the sides of its body, and the Velociraptors grew feathers along their backs and their arms grew somewhat longer and the claws were somewhat bigger.

As all the fossilized dinosaurs became ghosts Danny watched in horror as he said, "Oh no!"

He turned his head as he heard a loud elephant toot and he watched prehistoric mammals emerge from the other room as ghosts. The wooly mammoth had green fur and for curved tusks, a sabretooth tiger had four long fangs, a giant ground sloth had a muscular upper body, and there was a prehistoric wolf that was now twice as big.

Seeing all these prehistoric ghost animals risen, Danny watched in terror as he said, "He's not sending the world back to the stone age, he's bringing the stone age to the present!"

Commercial break

All the prehistoric ghost animals roared ferociously as Danny looked up at them in terror, still trapped by the vine Mungor tied him up with.

Mungor stood on top of a large exhibit as he looked at the ghost prehistoric creatures and said, "My pack is strong! I am your alpha! We will return this world to a simpler time! Go!"

All the ghost animals obeyed Mungor as they roared and then turned intangible as they phased out through the wall. They turned solid when they were outside and started rampaging through the Amity Park as they terrified people while Mungor ran.

Mr. Lancer was happily driving his car through the streets as he said to himself, "Ah this is much better. No ghosts, no cavemen, and no students to bother me."

He was surprised as he saw a bunch of people run past his car in fear, then he looked ahead and saw the ghost dinosaurs rampaging through the city.

Mr. Lancer gaped in fear as he yelled, "Jurassic Park!"

Lancer immediately slammed his foot on the gas pedal as he turned around and drove away as the T-Rex ghost chased him. Back in the museum, Danny broke free from the vine Mungor tied him with and flew outside as he phased through the wall. Unfortunately all of the prehistoric ghost animals were gone by the time Danny got outside as he floated in the air and looked around to see no sign of them.

He was shocked and stressed as he said to himself, "Okay, I know they're ghosts but how can a bunch of dinosaurs and stuff just disappear like that? Oh well, it doesn't matter how they got away. I've gotta find them before Mungor and his new pets before they cause any more trouble."

Danny's legs became a ghostly tail as he flew off with his fists out to start searching for Mungor and his new ghost prehistoric creatures.

The next morning at Fenton Works

Danny and his family were sitting at the kitchen table eating breakfast when they watched a news report on the kitchen TV.

Footage of the prehistoric ghost animals rampaging as Tiffany Snow said, "Last night a ghost caveman raised a horde of ghost dinosaurs and ancient mammals from the natural history museum and released them into Amity Park. All citizens are advised by Mayor Foley to report any signs of ghost activity immediately."

The report ended and Jazz looked at the rest of her family as she said, "This is serious!"

Danny agreed as he stared forward and urgently said, "I know! I've gotta find that caveman and stop him before it's too late!"

Danielle looked at Danny as she curiously asked, "What are we going to do Danny?"

Maddie looked at Danielle as she sternly said, "YOU aren't doing anything except studying for your test young lady."

Danielle looked at Maddie as she said, "But mom, Mungor and these ghost dinosaurs will destroy Amity Park if we don't do something."

Maddie's expression softened as she reasonably said, "I know but that doesn't change anything Danielle. Yes this is an emergency but I'm sure everything will be okay."

Danny put his hand on her shoulder as he solemnly said, "Mom's right Danielle. You need to study. I'll handle this by myself."

Jazz looked at Danny with uncertainty as she asked, "Are you sure Danny?"

Danny glanced at Jazz before narrowing his eyes as he stared forward, pounded his fist, and said, "Yes! When I find that ghost he'll be the one who's extinct!"

Jack smiled as he enthusiastically raised his fist and said, "Atta boy!"

Maddie stood up and looked at the kids as she said, "Okay, you kids need to get to school, especially you Danielle."

Danielle groaned in annoyance as she grabbed her backpack and walked out with Danny and Jazz as they went to school. Later at lunch, Danny sat with Tucker and Sam and talked about Mungor and the ghost dinosaurs and mammals he had unleashed.

Sam looked at Danny as she curiously said, "So Mungor wants to bring back the stone age?"

Danny was uncertain as he honestly said, "I guess so. He turned all the exhibits in the museum into ghosts. I think he wants to use them to destroy Amity Park."

Tucker was confused as he curiously said, "Then why hasn't he sicked his pets on us yet?"

Danny was just as confused as he said, "I don't know. But I have to find him and stop him before he does."

Danny's ghost sense suddenly went off and he looked up to see the ghost Pterosaurs flying overhead as they shrieked. Danny smiled eagerly as he went ghost and flew after them as he shot ghost rays from his hands at the Pterosaurs. They shrieked in pain before turning and flying back at him as one of them pecked him with its beak, another swung its wing at him, and the third hit him with its feet. They all flapped their wings at the same time, creating a huge gust of wind that blew Danny away and sent him crashing down onto a rooftop. He groaned as he looked up and saw the ghosts Pterosaurs floating above him when suddenly they were blasted by purple rays. He turned to see Valerie flying on her hoverboard toward them with four weapons ready, two in her wrists and two in her shoulders. She blasted all weapons at the Pterosaurs as they shrieked in fury, suddenly Mungor phased up through a rooftop and looked at Valerie. He created a bow and arrow and shot it at Valerie's pack on her back, damaging her suit as she cried in terror. Her suit started sparking as her weapons deactivated and her hoverboard dematerialized, sending her falling down screaming.

Danny watched as he yelled, "Valerie!"

He then flew with his arms out as he caught her in his arms and set her down on the street; he looked up to see Mungor and the Pterosaurs gone.

He was vexed before showing concern while he said, "They got away again! Valerie, are you okay?"

She looked at Danny with a troubled expression as she said, "I'm fine but my suit's damaged. It'll take days to fix it."

Suddenly they both heard the bell ring and Danny said, "Well, we'd better get back to class. We'll handle Mungor and his dinos later."

They both walked back to school; later at Fenton Works, Danielle was sitting at the kitchen table with books and papers as she tried to study for math.

Jazz walked in and smiled as she asked, "Hey Danielle, how's the studying going?"

Danielle sadly glanced at Jazz before looking down at her books and said, "Terrible! I'm never gonna pass this test! I give up!"

Jazz sympathized as she put her hand on Danielle's shoulder and said, "Don't give up Danielle. You can do it."

Danielle folded her arms as she laid on the table, looked up at Jazz as she said, "No I can't. I'm not good enough. I wish I was as smart as you Jazz."

Jazz sat down next to Danielle and comfortingly said, "You are smart enough to do this Danielle. Maybe you just need a little help."

She looked at some equations Danielle did and noticed that most of them were incomplete, and some she hadn't even started yet.

Jazz then looked at Danielle as she said, "Hmm, I think the problem is that you're not trying hard enough."

Danielle sat up and looked at Jazz as she said, "But I am trying."

Jazz understood as she calmly said, "I know you're trying but you're giving up too easily. Most of these equations aren't finished. You need to keep trying until you get it right."

Danielle was not confident as she said, "But it's hard."

Jazz understood as she spoke honestly before smiling proudly while she said, "I know it's hard, lots of things are hard. School is hard for me too sometimes so I work hard to make sure that I pass. You'll never get far in life without working hard, if you just give up when things get difficult you'll never succeed. Ghost fighting is hard, but do you and Danny give up when things get tough?"

Danielle smiled enthusiastically as she raised her fists and exclaimed, "No!"

Jazz smiled as she said, "And are you going to give up on this test?"

Danielle happily stood up as she proudly exclaimed, "No I'm not!"

Jazz smiled proudly and pointed at the math book as she said, "That's the spirit! Now let's get to work!"

Danielle sat down and paid attention as she and Jazz started studying for math with big smiles on their faces. Meanwhile Danny was flying over Amity Park, searching for any sign of Mungor or the ghost dinosaurs but he found nothing.

As he flew he annoyedly said, "Come on Mungor, where are you?"

He kept searching but then spotted something that captured his eye; Axiom Labs had been destroyed as there were huge holes in the wall.

Danny was shocked as he said, "Whoa!"

He flew toward the building and spotted Valerie's dad standing outside looking at all the damage, so Danny flew toward him.

He landed in front of him and asked, "Mr. Gray, what happened here?"

Damon looked at Danny and said, "You just missed it. That caveman ghost attacked us with those animals from the museum. They destroyed everything and then just left."

Danny briefly held his chin in thought before looking back at Damon as he said, "Huh, first Mungor damages Valerie's suit and now he destroys the lab. What's next? Well, I'd better get back to searching for them. Thanks Mr. Gray."

Danny flew away and waved back at Damon, who in turned waved "goodbye" to Danny as he went to tend to the damages. The next day, when Danielle was in math class she was having better luck understanding things as she worked on equations with a smile on her face. Later when she went home Jazz helped her study again and they made great progress as Danielle was able to solve equations with more work. She and Jazz high-fived each other when Danielle solved one problem correctly and Jazz gave her a thumbs up. Meanwhile, Danny was flying through the air as he searched for Mungor and his pack, he stopped and floated in the air as he saw the ghost dinosaurs and mammals attacking GIW headquarters.

Danny watched for a moment as he said, "Wow, never thought I'd end up helping these guys."

He flew toward the building with his fists out while the Guys in White desperately tried to fend off the ghosts. The ghost T-Rex and Spinosaurus crushed some of their vehicles under their feet while the ghost mammoth and Triceratops charged and smashed holes through the walls. Inside the building, several GIW operatives were in a room, armed with weapons as they listened to the commotion outside. Suddenly the handle of a door started turning as it was opened by one of the ghost raptors, and then it and the others entered the room and attacked the operatives. Back outside, some GIW operatives were flying with jetpacks as they fired weapons at the ghost Pterosaurs, which screeched as they came at them and knocked them out of the air. The ghost Ankylosaurus used its tail to smash holes in walls as it roared, then the White Knights came out and joined the fight. They were useless though as the ghost Stegosaurus destroyed them with its tail, the ghost T-Rex crushed one in its mouth, and the Spinosaurus slashed its claws at some others.

The ghost giant ground sloth also destroyed a few White Knights with its big muscles and large claws. K and O stood back-to-back as they were cornered by the ghost sabretooth tiger and wolf, but the two men aimed their weapons at them. They prepared to fire when Danny came and shot two green rays at the ghost animals and knocked them away from them. Danny flew past K and O as he flew toward the Spinosaurus, which held one of the GIW's jets in its hands while biting on it. He punched it in the face and made it drop the jet before it tried to bite him, but Danny avoided its teeth and fired an ecto-ray at its face. The T-Rex came behind Danny and tried to eat him, but Danny held its jaws opened and kicked it down to the ground. He floated in the air and prepared to attack again when Mungor came at him and hit him with his club, knocking him down to the ground.

Mungor looked at all of the ghost prehistoric creatures and yelled, "Pack, leave!"

All of the ghost dinosaurs and animals obeyed him as they turned intangible and phased down through the ground to escape, and Mungor did the same.

Danny stood up and looked at the Guys in White as O ungratefully said, "Nice work Phantom. Those ghost fossils just demolished our entire headquarters and destroyed all our weapons!"

Danny glared back at them as he said, "You're welcome!"

He then took off flying with a ghostly tail as the Guys in White watched him with vexed expressions before working on the damages. The next day, it was Friday and Danielle was in math class as she was handed her test that she had been studying all week for.

Danielle looked at her test a bit nervously as she said, "Well, here goes nothing. I hope my hard work pays off."

Later at Casper High

It was lunchtime and Danny was talking with Tucker and Sam as he said, "So Mungor and his ghost dinos got away again and I have no idea where they'll strike next."

Tucker was just as confused as he said, "Yeah, there's no telling when they'll show up again."

Sam looked at Tucker and Sam as she said, "Come on guys! Use your heads! We're way smarter than this neanderthal!"

Danny looked at Sam as he argued, "Sam, this neanderthal is smarter than we thought. Trust me."

Sam had faith as he said, "He's still just a caveman. His brain's not as evolved as ours. We can figure out what he's up to and stop him."

Tucker smiled optimistically as he said, "Sam's right! Mungor may not be as dumb as he looks, but he's not smart enough to beat us!"

Danny smiled at his best friend and girlfriend, then the bell rang and they stood up as Danny said, "We'll meet after school and see if we can figure anything out."

They went to class and went about their day paying attention and working hard in school until it was time to go home.

Danny was walking outside when Sam and Tucker came to him and Sam said, "Hey Danny. I think I might be onto something about Mungor."

The boys looked at her as Danny said, "Okay, whatcha got?"

They walked down the sidewalk as Sam glanced around in thought as he said, "Well, maybe Mungor doesn't really want to destroy the city. He talks about sending the world back to an easier time like the stone age. Maybe he just wants to get rid of modern things."

Tucker thought for a moment and stared forward as he said, "He does really hate tech. Remember when he smashed my PDA in the museum?"

Sam smiled as she pointed at Tucker then held her palm up and said, "Right! Maybe he wants to rid the world of technology."

Danny's eyes widened as he listed things on his fingers and said, "Wait a minute! First he damaged Valerie's suit, then he attacked the lab where her dad works, then he destroyed the Guys in White's headquarters…"

Tucker looked at Danny and Sam as he said, "Sounds like Mungor is trying to destroy all of the most advanced tech first."

Sam looked away as she put her finger to her lip in thought and said, "So where will he attack next?"

Danny's eyes widened in fear as he said, "Oh no!"

He immediately transformed into his ghost form and flew off, prompting Tucker and Sam to follow him on foot.

Back at Fenton Works

Jazz was reading a book while Maddie and Jack worked on an invention in the living room when Danielle came in.

She smiled as she ran to her parents with the test and happily said, "I aced it! I aced the test!"

They took the test as Maddie happily said, "That's wonderful honey!"

Jack excitedly said, "Way to go!"

Jazz smiled proudly at Danielle as she proudly said, "See Danielle? I knew you could do it."

Danielle smiled appreciatingly at Jazz as she said, "Thanks Jazz, but I couldn't have done it without your help."

Jazz showed a flattered smile when they all suddenly heard a pounding sound nearby and they looked around curiously. They all looked at a glass of water on the coffee table saw ripples appear in the surface as tremors occurred. They all ran and looked out the front window to see Mungor and his prehistoric ghost animals on the street outside their house.

Jazz let out a cry of fear when Mungor pointed at the Fentons' house and yelled, "Destroy it all!"

All of the ghost animals roared as they attacked but Danny quickly came and flew in front of them as he swiped right leg through the air and sent a wave of ecto energy at them.

He stopped them from damaging his house and knocked them all back as he bravely yelled, "You come to my house you deal with me!"

All of the ghosts roared ferociously as Mungor pointed at Danny and yelled, "Attack!"

The ghost dinosaurs and mammals charged at Danny and roared while Danny fearlessly fought back at them.

Tucker and Sam arrived as they watched Danny fighting the ghosts as Sam urgently said, "He's here to destroy all the Fenton ghost hunting technology!"

Tucker looked at Sam as he urgently said, "If they destroy it we might not be able to stop the next ghost attack!"

Sam narrowed her eyes as she said, "We have to help!"

She and Tucker started running toward the house, meanwhile inside Danny's family were looking out the window as they watched Danny fight the ghosts.

Danielle looked up at her parents as she smiled politely and said, "Mom, dad, can I…?"

They both smiled down at her as Maddie said, "Of course sweetie."

Danielle smiled excitedly as jumped and changed into her ghost form before phasing out through the wall. Danny was being attacked by the ghost Pterosaurs as they flew at him and hit him several times, one was about to peck at him when Danielle flew and kicked it away.

Danny was surprised as he said, "Danielle?!"

Danielle smiled at him and then punched and kicked two ghost Pterosaurs as she happily said, "Hi Danny! I aced my math test!"

Danny smile he grabbed one Pterosaur and threw it at another while saying, "Dani, that's great! You got a hundred?"

Danielle put her hands together and shot a ghost ray at one ghost Pterosaur as she smiled and honestly said, "No I got a 95. But I aced it."

The ghost T-Rex raised its head in front of Danielle and growled before it tried to bite her, but Danielle avoided it and punched it in the face, knocking it down. While it got back up Danielle floated down in front of the Ankylosaurus as she put her hands together and shot a ray at it. However, the Ankylosaurus' armor protected it from her ray and then it swung its tail at her and sent her flying away. Danny flew at the Ankylosaurus and hit it in its bottom jaw, knocking on its back and getting it stuck like a turtle. The ghost Stegosaurus stood in front of Danny and swung its tail at him, but Danny turned intangible as the spikes passed right through him. Danny shot an ecto ray at the Stegosaurus' face and knocked it down to the ground before it got back up and roared. Tucker and Sam were almost at the front door of Danny's house when suddenly they were cornered by all four ghost Velociraptors.

They hissed at Tucker and Sam as Tucker smiled nervously and said, "I take back what I said. You guys are way smart."

Before the Velociraptors could attack Danny flew at them and rammed all four of them, knocking them away.

Sam smiled as she happily cheered, "That's my boyfriend!"

Danny looked at them as he seriously ordered, "Get inside now!"

They agreed as they hurried inside and saw Jack, Maddie, and Jazz looking at them as Jazz said, "Tucker! Sam! What's going on?"

Sam looked at them and urgently said, "Mungor and his dinosaurs want to destroy all your technology!"

Jack narrowed his eyes as he said, "Not on my watch!"

Tucker spoke up and said, "We have to help Danny!"

Jazz agreed as she asked, "But how?"

They were all uncertain as they looked out the window and watched Danny and Danielle fight Mungor's dinosaurs and prehistoric mammals. Danny's eyes glowed blue as he shot a blue ray that froze the mammoth, sabretooth tiger, ground sloth, and wolf in a giant piece of ice.

Danny smiled victoriously as he said, "Welcome back to the ice age!"

They shattered the ice and escaped, then Danny was jumped by one of the Velociraptors and knocked down before Danny threw it off.

It got up and was joined by the other three as Danny prepared to fight, but Danielle shouted, "Danny! Incoming!"

He turned to see her flying toward him with the Triceratops chasing her, so he got out of the way while she flew past him and the Triceratops hit the Velociraptors and knocked them down. She smiled as she floated up but was attacked by the Spinosaurus as it swung its arm at her and knocked her down. The sabretooth tiger jumped on her, but she lifted it up and threw it at the ghost wolf before the ground sloth hit her. Mungor threw a spear at Danny but he formed a barrier of ecto-energy and blocked it, but the T-Rex headbutted Danny and knocked him down.

He and Danielle stood together as Mungor's ghost animals surrounded them as Danielle asked, "How do we beat them Danny?"

Danny seriously said, "We have to beat Mungor. It's the only way to stop these things!"

Danielle thought and smiled at Danny as she said, "I've got an idea!"

She whispered something into Danny's ear and he smiled as he said, "That's great! Go tell mom and dad! I'll keep them busy!"

Danielle phased into the house as Maddie curiously said, "Danielle, what are you doing?"

Danielle smiled as she said, "We have a plan!"

Outside Danny fended off all the ghost beasts by himself until Danielle came back outside and smiled at Danny with a thumbs up.

He joined her and they both grinned mockingly at Mungor as Danny said, "Hey Mungor, if you're so tough, why do you need your pets to fight for you? Why don't you face us yourselves? Are you chicken?"

Mungor glared as he angrily said, "I'll smash you!"

He jumped at them and prepared to fight as he came closer to the house when Danielle yelled, "Now!"

In the house, Maddie flipped on the Ghost Shield as it projected over the house and behind Mungor, separating him from his ghost animals. He stopped and grunted in confusion as he slammed the shield with his club but could not breach it, and on the other side the ghost dinosaurs and mammals roared as they attacked it.

Mungor turned around as Danny grinned and said, "Alone at last dummy."

He and Danielle both beat Mungor up brutally before they knocked him to the ground, and Danny sucked him into the Fenton Thermos. Once he was sucked into the Thermos the ghost dinosaurs and mammals stopped roaring as they became skeletons and fossils again as they fell to the street.

Danny smiled victoriously as he said, "The past is past."

Later they were all gathered inside with the shield off as Sam happily said, "Way to go Danielle. Using the Ghost Shield to separate Mungor from the others? Great idea!"

Maddie smiled proudly as she said, "You got an A on your test and outsmarted that ghost!"

Danny smiled as he congratulated her and said, "Yeah, nice job Danielle."

Tucker smiled as he happily pointed both fingers at Danielle and said, "You're on a roll!"

Jazz smiled as she said, "I told you that you were smart enough."

Danielle smiled as she joked and said, "I'm definitely smarter than a caveman."

The others laughed at her joke and Danny smiled as he raised his finger and said, "But cavemen are smarter than we think."

They continued laughing until Maddie smiled as she pointed at Danielle and said, "Good job honey. Now we expect you to keep up the good work both in and out of school."

Danielle smiled as she solemnly said, "I will. I promise mom, I'll always work hard and try my best in school. Now if you'll excuse me I'm going to my room to watch TV."

She then ran up to her room as fast as she could and left the others in the living room as they laughed at her behavior.

Author's note: After seeing ghost animals several times and other things I thought it would be nice to see ghost dinosaurs. They would be a lot more dangerous than living dinosaurs. I also meant for this to sort of teach the values of trying hard in school and being smart. I wanted to depict Mungor as being primitive but not stupid. That's why early I figured Danny would underestimate him and Mungor would show that he's smarter than you think. However he's still primitive so outsmarting him isn't too hard to do, which is how Danielle helped defeat him. I also got the idea for the subplot about Danielle from "Teacher of the Year", and I thought it would be sweet to have Jazz help her study. Please review.
