Chapter 2

"Tommy. Cayleigh's alive" Kept going through Tommy's head. His eyes deadlocked with the red head in front of him.

"No, Hayley she died in the accident".

"Tommy i saw her, i bumped into her when i locked up the Cyberspace". Hayley pressed. "Please you have to believe me".

He spun around to face her. His face softened. "But its impossible, Hunter said she wasn't found. Wait come to think of it when we spoke he kept fingering the pendant around his neck, i've seen it before but can't place it. Also Hayley when he told me he never looked me in the eyes".

"Tommy i think you need to go talk to Hunter".

Tommy nodded at Hayley and left the lab.

Blue Bay Harbour..

The moon was shining bright as Tommy arrived in Blue Bay Harbour. He parked on the beach.

"Tommy?" He turned to see Tori.

"Hey Tori listen i know its late but is Hunter around?" He asked her.

"Yeah he is up there". She told him pointing to where Hunter was sitting on the rocks.

"Thanks".

Tommy walked over to where the young ninja was sitting. "Hunter".

Hunter turned at the voice. "Tommy hey what are you doing here?"

Tommy never answered instead he walked switfly over to him grabbing his shirt shaking him. "Tommy get off!".

"Where is she?!" Tommy yelled "Hunter i won't ask again WHERE. ?!"

"Let him go". A voice sounded. "Please". Tommy let the blonde go and slowly turned around. He saw the same ninja from earlier today. Sitting on the ground was the same white lion. The ninja glowed white as the ninja garb came off revealing a girl with brown hair wearing jeans with a grey tank top. Her silver eye gleaming under the moon.

"It can't be, Cayleigh?" Tommy whispered. Hunter walked over to stand next to her kissing her cheek as he did so. Hunter left the two of them alone. "Cay?"

Cayleigh Oliver now stood if front of her big brother. "Hey bro". She whispered as she wiped her tears away. Tommy closed the distance in between them pulling her into his arms. "I'm sorry! i'm so sorry!". She cried into his neck.

"Shhhh CJ its okay, i'm here,". He spoke into her ear. "I never thought i would ever see you again". He pulled away cupping her cheeks. "I missed you so much, God Cayleigh what happened?"

"Its a long story". She whispered. "I will tell you if your willing to listen?"

"Of course". He told her. The lion growled. Cayleigh knelt down in front of the animal stroking its back.

"Naya easy girl, just so you know where i go she goes".

Tommy looked nervous. "Tommy she won't bite, if she wanted too she wouldn't have helped you fight today. Do you live near?"

He nodded. "Yeah i live in Reefside."

"Let me say goodbye to Hunter and i will meet you by your car". She told him with a smile. She met up with Hunter as Tommy sat in his jeep.

"Hunter i'm sorry". She told him wrapping her arms around her waist.

"Its okay, Cayleigh we knew the day would come eventually. Just promise me you won't shut him out".

"I promise. Hunter thank you for everything you did for me this past year especially the past six months." She told him as she pulled away.

"I would do it all over again. Listen how about we finally have that date we talked about next weekend?"

She giggled. "Sounds good to me". She kissed his cheek and walked over to her brother. She got into his jeep.

"No dating until your 30".

"Yeah yeah, drive".

Once they got to Tommy's house he led her inside. Cayleigh changed into some of his sweats after taking a shower and was sitting on his couch. The lion laying on the floor next to her feet. Tommy walked over handing her a soda.

"Did you watch the cd?"

He sat next to her. "No i couldn't bring myself to it".

"If you watched it you would have known i was alive". She stated. "You would have watched my story and journey of what i went throught the past year. I never wanted to hide. I never wanted to hurt you or anyone".

"Hey talk to me, i'm here now". Tommy told her as he wiped her tears away with his thumbs.

She nodded and took a breath. "Well you know i went to Blue Bay for soccer camp. While i was there i was taken by Lothor and his goons. I was possessed by a spirit of a Sensei that was killed centuries ago. Long story short the ninja storm rangers freed me and the spirit found peace. When he was freed he saw the good in me and blessed me with his powers of ice so i stayed in Blue Bay and trained."

"Wait is that the legend i learned from Ninjor years ago, Sensei Moya. She was trapped in a box of ice in a temple north of Blue Bay?"

"Yeah thats the one. I was snooping around and discovered the temple when Lothor got me so i was used as the vessel. Naya was her guardian so when i took on her powers i got Naya to and she can be a pain in the butt." Cayleigh laughed out as the lion sat up.

Tommy sighed. "Cay how did you get the scar and silver eye?"

"The scar came while i was training with Hunter, kelzaks attacked and i put up the wall of ice i was learning but it wasn't strong enough so i got pushed into it and it shattered cutting me. As for the silver eye, after Sensei Moya gave me her powers some of her essence went inside me making my eye turn. She is a part of me to"

Tommy looked at his little sister with pride. What she went through in Blue Bay made him so proud of her. She wasn't the little girl he knew. She was grown with so much strength. "Cayleigh why did you hide away? what happened?"

Cayleigh looked at her brothers loving face. She felt the shame wash over her. "I, Uh was involved in a boat accident with Sarah Mercer. Its my fault she died. It was the last day of our tournament, we were on the beach celebrating our win. We took a boat out but i lost control causing us to get caught in the current and crashed". She sobbed out. "I stayed away because i was ashamed, i am the reason she died because i wanted to have fun but at the time we were so tired all at once".

Tommy took her hands. "Listen Cay, it was an accident and trust me they happen and as hard as it may seem you need to forgive yourself. Where have you been staying all this time?"

"Blue Bay, i made Hunter promise not to tell you when you were there six months ago especially after all i have been through between getting possessed and then the accident i couldn't bear to see how disappointed you would have been".

"Cayleigh Jennifer Oliver there is nothing that would ever make me disappointed in you, yes we all go through trials but now its over. You need to move on, you need to have a fresh start. I need you". He pleaded with his sister. "Please Cay stay here with me"

She smiled brightly at him. "Okay". She hugged him tightly. Naya growled in delight. "She stays to. Here give me your hand".

Tommy watched as she fingered his black gem. "I take it you know i am a ranger again". She nodded. "What are you doing?"

"Stay still. Ninjor created our telepathic bond between us, i am creating one thats a little different". She told him. Tommy watched as her silver eye sparkled brightly. He felt a chill go through his body. Once it was over his black gem had a white spot in the middle. "Sensei Moya told me that our bond connects us so since we are blood i can bond my ice powers to you, now you can also connect with Naya if need be".

"Thanks Cay"

"Oh i need a bed" She groaned out stretching. Tommy pulled her up and led her down the hall. "Wow nice room.". Her eyes widened at what was on the bed. "Tommy where did you find this?" She asked holding the white blanket and teddy bear.

"Ryan found it in his attic and gave it to me. I think you should go tell him. Cay they all miss you and i know you are close to Jason but i also know how close you are with Ryan and Carter to so please why not go to Mariner Bay tomorrow and see them"

"Okay plus Ryan makes the best chocolate chip waffles maybe i can convince him to make them". She said with a laugh as she pulled the covers over her. "Do you have a full team of rangers?"

Tommy sat on the bed. "Yeah i do you will see them tomorrow when you get back, you are coming back right?"

"That depends on Ryan and if he wants to hold me hostage or not". She joked. "Yeah i will be back"

Tommy smiled and kissed her forehead. He pulled the covers up. "Doing this reminds me of when you were little".

"I saw you"

"What?"

"i saw you in Angel Grove when you were with the others, i was up on the roof of the school while you guys were at the beach. Tommy do you still go to the ruins?"

"Of the old Comman Center you mean?"

She nodded turning on her side. "I do sometimes, i went there the day after i heard you were gone. I remember how much you loved it there as a kid. I went there the other day on your 17th birthday looking for something but i couldn't find it".

"What was it?"

"It doesn't matter now, listen when your up for it we can go there together okay".

"Okay". He walked towards her door and shut off her light. Tommy smiled wide as she turned on her stomach and her eyes closed. She was home and it would stay that way.
