Eight days have passed since Kei and Izaki left their village. They are currently journeying to Dragonia. A similar looking carriage eventually interjects their path in the desert. Both carriages were on the same path back to the capital.
Soldier1: "We've almost reached Dragonia! We'll take a break soon so you can stretch your legs!"
Izaki: "Ok! sounds good!"
The thought of going to the capital captivates Izaki. Kei on the other hand seems to occupy his mind with other thoughts.
…
Soldier1: "This is our final stop before we reach the capital. This place has a pretty nice view too, so go ahead and get some fresh air"
The two soldiers dismount their horses and go over to the similar looking carriage.
Izaki walks out of the carriage and goes to the edge of the nearby cliff. He looks on from atop of the cliff towards the massive and majestic city. The sheer scale of the city was out of this world. That coupled with the incredible Infrastructure made it far beyond anything he had expected
Izaki: "No way… It's even greater than I imagined"
His legs felt weaker and his heart began to beat more intensely. Anticipation had paralyzed him and excitement had stolen his breath…
Kei walks up beside Izaki. His attention is immediately drawn to a giant palace that towers over the entire city.
The boys stand in silence just observing the scale of the city for about five minutes until…
"How long do you two plan on staring like that?"
The boys turn around to see the person who posed the question. It was a beautiful girl with long, spiky brown hair and green eyes that looked to be around their age.
She was wearing brown Shin high boots along with brown shorts.
Her fit figure was highlighted underneath her white, sleeveless, skin tight shirt. She was also wearing a black collar around her neck.
Mystery girl: "Well…? Are you just gonna stand there and stare at me too?"
Kei: "...Uh y-yeah, we should get going shouldn't we? Sorry about that, we were just-wait a second, who are you again?"
As the boys glance at each other they hear the girl begin to speak
Mystery girl: "My name is Toshiki Kaiya, and you are?- Actually never mind, it doesn't really matter"
The girl then turns and walks back to her carriage without looking back
Izaki: "Huh?"
Kei: "...Toshiki Kaiya huh?"
Izaki: "..."
Kei: "Let's go... Let's not keep the soldiers waiting any longer"
Izaki: "Yeah, right"
The boys go back to their carriage and continue their journey for the capital…
[A few hours later]
Outside the city gates were many civilian refugees of the Empire lined up and looking for shelter within the city. The two carriages are granted priority however and are permitted to enter through the city gates. The giant stone gates are opened manually by two large dragons…
Soldier 1: "Those are what we call gatekeepers…"
Soldier 2: "It is said that the walls surrounding the city are comparable to five giants stacked on top of each other. This along with the different artilleries placed on the walls are enough to deter any enemy force from attacking"
Izaki: "Oh really!? Tell me some more…"
Kei: "..."
…
After traveling through the city, the carriage comes to a stop in front of the gates of a beautiful white mansion.
Soldier 1: "We've made it to our destination. This is where we were ordered to drop you guys off."
The boys step out of their carriage with their small bags in hand to see Kaiya standing in front of the gate.
Izaki: "Hey look, it's the girl from before"
Kei: "..."
The boys then express their gratitude to the soldiers and say their goodbyes…
As the three now stand in front of the gates of the mansion, they slowly begin to open.
Izaki: "It's opening by itself?"
Kei: "Pretty cool…"
Kaiya: "..."
Kaiya enters through the gates without hesitating.
The boys share a quick glance with each other before following.
The trio slowly make their way through the yard until they are standing right outside of the large mansion.
Kaiya: "You there…" As she looks at Izaki
Izaki: "Huh? Are you talking to me?" He points to himself
Kaiya: "Yes. Do you mind opening up that door over there?" As she turns her attention to the wooden doors of the mansion
Izaki: "Huh!? And why exactly do I have to be the guinea pig?"
Kaiya: "(*Scoffs*) It's not a big deal, all you're doing is opening some doors. Are you some spineless coward?"
Kei: "(*Sighs*) Fine, I'll go first"
Kaiya glares at Kei's back with an annoyed expression as he walks towards the door. Izaki follows Kei's lead and stands at his side. The boys then push the two large wooden doors open…
An aerie Silence fills the dark room they were now staring into.
Izaki: " It's so dark, I can barely see anything"
…Shing!
The sound of a sharp object gliding through the air can suddenly be heard
Kaiya: "Get out of the way you idiots!"
Kei and Izaki immediately jump to opposite sides of the entrance and Kaiya jumps back.
Cling!
Two kunai pierce the ground in front of Kaiya.
Kei: "Izaki!"
Izaki: "I'm alright. I'll take the one on the left!" He quickly recovers to his feet and runs after a shadowy figure inside the mansion
Kei: "No wait! Don't just- Argh screw it!" He quickly runs after Izaki Into the mansion
…
Kaiya: "(*Sighs*) Impulsive fools"
She places her hand on her hip and looks up into a nearby tree
Kaiya: "Do you mind? Your stalking is creepy, especially since i'm alone now"
"You knew I was watching you?"
Kaiya: "Did you think we were all clueless?"
"How infuriating, but I suppose stealth was never my specialty. Even still…"
A blonde haired girl jumps down from the tree. Her hair is tied in a short ponytail and she wears a black ninja-yoroi
"You will die"
Kaiya slowly bends a knee and picks up one of the kunai beside her.
Kaiya: {What's this!?}
She quickly glances closer at the Kunai
"Whoosh"
Blonde girl: "If you take your eyes off the enemy in battle like that, you will be regret it"
Kaiya looks up to see the blonde girl right in front of her eyes.
She reflexively tries to cut her throat with the Kunai
The ninja quickly flips backwards twice and avoids the attack
Kaiya: {So fast! She closed the distance before I even noticed!}
A bead of sweat runs down Kaiya's face as a pit starts to form in her stomach
…
Kei: "You idiot! Why'd you run in blindly?!"
Izaki: "Huh!? Were being attacked, we have to strike quickly before the enemy gets the upper hand"
Kei: "You just gave them the upper hand!
Izaki quickly looks around and realizes the situation
Izaki: "...Oh crap, I guess you're right. I wasn't thinking about that sorry"
Kei: "We've got to get out of here now!"
Izaki: "But we have to find out who we're up against. At the very least we have to find out how many there are!"
Kei: "Izaki, If we stay here we'll die!"
Izaki: "...Damn it, fine!"
The boys immediately dash towards the exit. As they get closer and closer to the door, the light from beyond engulfs them until…
Izaki: "we made it (*panting*)"
Kei: " (*panting*) Yeah… it was almost too easy"
Kei and Izaki then look up to see Kaiya fighting a mysterious blonde girl dressed as a ninja…
"Clash!"
The two trade powerful kicks, with the instep of their feet
'Crack!'
Kaiya recoils and flinches from the collision
She is sent flying in the opposite direction and crashes into the ground with a 'Thud!'
She lands and rolls to break her fall a little until she comes to a stop
'Stands'
After regaining her stance, she looks up at the blonde girl
Kaiya: (*Pant, pant*)
'Lunge'
She lunges forward with the kunai in hand
'Swoosh' 'Swoosh' 'Swoosh' 'Swoosh'
Her assault begins with four quick knife strikes at her opponent
'Weaves and dodges'
The blonde easily dodges all the strikes with impeccable footwork and speed
'Grabs and push'
She grabs Kaiya's hand on the last strike and pushes her back slightly
This completely breaks Kaiya's guard and puts her off balance
The blonde girl then swiftly gets into a lower stance and counter attacks
'Crack!'
Her fist pummels into Kaiya's stomach
"Ack!"
Kaiya recoils briefly from the pain but continues in her assault
'Grabs'
She grabs the blonde girl's hand
Blonde girl: "Hmm?"
Kaiya: "I've got you now"
'Swoosh'
Kaiya uses the kunai and stabs into her shoulder
'Block!'
The blonde girl uses a quick upward motion with her other hand and blocks Kaiya's wrist
'Crack!'
Kaiya's wrist momentarily bends to an unnatural angle due to the impact
'drops'
She drops the knife from the sudden intense pain
'Whack!'
The blonde spins and kicks Kaiya in her side with her back heel
"Aargh!"
Kaiya is once again sent flying from the force of the attack
'Crash!'
Kaiya crashes into the ground with a 'Thud!'
'Lands and roll'
She tries to use the momentum to roll away and get some time to recover.
Before she can get too far however,
'Stomp!'
The ninja plants her foot into Kaiya's back and stomps her into the ground "Aaargh!" Kaiya Screams in pain
Kaiya: {Too fast! I can't get away}
The ninja then plants her foot on the back of Kaiya's head and stomps it down
'Crash!'
Kaiya's face is sent crashing into the ground.
Ninja: "...You must understand now don't you? You simply lack the skill to overcome the difference between us"
Kaiya resists against the force of the ninja's foot and lifts her head slightly
Kaiya: "Argh! Screw you!"
Shing!
A kunai flies past the ninja's face, stunting her for a moment
She then looks in the direction from where the kunai was thrown.
Izaki is standing there smiling
Blonde girl: "Hmm?"
She then feels an intense pressure engulfing her body
Blonde girl: {bloodlust!?}
The visage of a terrifying White dragon wraps itself around her body, completely enveloping it and holding its claw to her throat…
She is completely shocked and stunned for a moment…
She quickly snaps back to reality, but when she does, there's a kunai being held at her throat.
Blonde girl: "...I get it now"
Kei had picked up the kunai that Kaiya dropped and closed the distance while Izaki posed as a quick distraction…
Kei: "You move, you die"
Blonde girl: "Oh? Why not finish the job immediately?"
Kei: "Killing you right now would be a waste, but I won't hesitate if necessary"
Blonde girl: "(*Chuckle*) Is that so? Very well… I concede, you win"
Kei: "Huh?... We win?"
Blonde girl: (*Giggles softly*)
Kaiya brushes the blonde's foot aside and stands up slowly with an annoyed expression
Kei and Izaki: "?"
A mysterious voice then echoes from the doorway of the mansion.
"Two of you are caught off guard, while the other does not seem phased whatsoever. Why is that?"
It was a man wearing a black ninja-yoroi with red samurai headwear. Everyone quickly looks over at the oddly dressed man that just showed himself and Izaki quickly jumps back to safe distance from the stranger
Kaiya: "(*Pants heavily*) This was all a ruse wasn't it?"
Izaki: "Say what?"
Kei continues to hold the kunai at the blonde girl's throat, he does not show any visible reaction to what Kaiya had just said.
The blonde girl chuckles a little
Kaiya: "I knew it. After I picked up the Kunai, I was sure that this was all some elaborate test"
Kei: "...You figured that out from picking up a Kunai?"
Kaiya: "You didn't realize it, but there was a thin thread attached to the back. I assume it was there in case we weren't fast enough to dodge. Am I right?" She says as she looks at the man for confirmation
Mysterious man: "{such keen perception and quick thinking… however, she lacks comradery and clear communication}"
The ninja then looks at Izaki and Kei respectively and thinks
"{This one is rash and impulsive, he's quick to attack and doesn't think about consequences long term}"
"{...and he seems to have a natural sense for battle}"
Mysterious man: "You are right, this was a test to see how each of you would react under pressure in an unfamiliar situation… My apologies, but it was a necessary test before we could become comrades. Now, I officially welcome you to your new home…"
[A few hours later]
cling, cling, cling!
Metal pots being slammed together can be heard coming from the dining area
Kei walks out of a room and heads down some steps. He soon arrives at the dining hall on the first floor of the mansion. Izaki and Kaiya were already seated around the long table that seemed to be able to accommodate up to ten people.
Izaki: " look who finally decided to show up"
Kei: "Yeah, Yeah..."
He goes and sits beside Izaki which happens to be right across from Kaiya. She silently watches as the boys playfully banter back and forth for a little while until…
"Hello again everyone"
The familiar voice of a girl quickly gains the trio's attention
"It's a pleasure to officially meet you all, my name is Taishi Miwa and I am the head maid of this mansion"
They look over to see a beautiful, short blonde haired girl with blue eyes. With her short spiky hair and cute maid outfit, she was the image of innocence and cuteness.
This woman was the blonde girl dressed as a ninja from earlier.
Izaki: "H-hello, my name is Yuta Izaki. It's a pleasure to meet you too."
Kei: "You can call me Kei"
Kaiya: "..."
"So it seems we've all gathered, wonderful"
A familiar man also walks up beside Miwa. His hair and beard were yellow along with his eyes. He was dressed in a white shirt with a black vest, a black bow tie and long black pants.
"I am Mark Whiting. My young friends, it's a pleasure to meet you all"
The trio recognise the man as the male ninja from earlier. Mr. Mark takes a seat at the head of the table and Miwa goes back into the kitchen.
[...A few minutes later…]
The table is filled with all different sorts of foods
Miwa: "I figured you guys haven't had a whole lot to eat since you began your journey, so I present to you this wonderful feast"
Izaki: "Oh man! thank you miss Miwa, this looks amazing!"
Being called 'miss' annoys her but Miwa keeps a smile on her face.
Mark: "Well done, you've outdone yourself once again Miwa"
Miwa: "Thank you, I'm glad you all enjoy my cooking so much. I put quite a bit of effort in preparing this meal."
They all soon began eating and drinking while talking the night away.
[Early next morning in the mansion]
Izaki slowly rises from his bed and holds onto his forehead
Izaki: "Ugh, I ate way too much… Oh no! It's already 6?!"
Izaki jumps out of bed. He runs out of the room and down the staircase to the main hall.
When he gets there, he sees two people standing across from each other. As he gets closer, he realizes that it's Kaiya and Miwa, who were intensely staring at each other for some reason.
Izaki: "...Huh? Am I interrupting something?" (*Nervous laughter*)
The two look away from each other after hearing Izaki's question
Kaiya: "Tch! Of course not" As she walks pass Miwa
Miwa just smiles politely and leans her head slightly…
Kei's entrance soon follows
Kei: "I guess I was the last one here"
Izaki: "Hmm… Were you trying to be late on purpose?"
Kei: "...I don't know what you are talking about" As he turns his head away
Izaki: "Yeah right…" he looks at Kei skeptically
Mark: "Good, we are all present now, shall we begin?"
'Poof!'
Mark Just suddenly appears behind Kei in a puff of smoke
Izaki: "what the!? Were you here the entire time?"
Mark: "...A ninja must never reveal his secrets"
Kei: {Isn't that a magicians saying though?}
Mark: "Now as I was saying, let's be-"
Kaiya: "Before we begin, do you mind telling us what sort of training we'll be doing exactly?"
Mark: "A curious mind you possess. But you'll just have to wait and see my young friend"
Kaiya: {Hmm?}
Mark: "Now all of you, please follow me"
A helical staircase that leads under the mansion appears in the middle of the room.
Mark: "Shall we get going?" He begins walking down the staircase
Miwa quickly follows Mark's lead. The others hesitate slightly but one by one start to follow as well.
After walking to the bottom of the stairs, they are met with a massive desolate plot of land with no trees or structures in sight. The area was around the same size as the yard of the mansion. It was somehow just as bright as the surface
Mark: "Here we are" He steps off of the staircase
Izaki: "A-amazing… to think this was here the entire time!"
Mark: "Yes, This is our official training grounds"
Everyone follows Mark's lead and step off the staircase and onto the land
Kaiya: "It looks like a perfect replica of the sky and somehow it's just as bright as the surface. What is this? I thought we were underground"
Mark: "What a wonderful reaction. A very valid question too, but that is not why we're here my friend. If you don't mind, could you all please have a seat." As he signals for everyone to sit.
Without much push back, Everyone except Miwa and Mark remain standing
Mark: "Kaiya, before, you had asked what kind of training we'd be doing"
Kaiya nods
Mark: "With this training, you'll all learn some of the basic skills necessary to reach your full potential as Vanguards."
Kaiya: "…"
The boys immediately became more attentive after hearing Mark's statement.
Mr. Mark: "Firstly, I must ask that you all refer to me as Mr. Mark from now on. Being that I will be your teacher, I expect to be shown the respect of one, is that understood?"
They all nod at the man's request
Mr. Mark: "Without wasting any more time then, let's begin…"
He puts his hands in his pockets and relaxes his demeanor.
: "Firstly, a vanguard possesses one main power from which all others are derived. We simply refer to this power as 'to Resonate'"
Izaki: "Resonate?"
Kei: "Other powers?"
Mr. Mark: "Miwa, a demonstration is in order"
She puts on a slight smile as she walks to the front of the group. As she walks forward Mr. Mark begins speaking again and seemingly changing the topic.
Mr. Mark: "There are five official clans recognized by the Empire as its military fighting force. These five great clans make up the strongest army in the entire world. These clans are Kagero, Narukami, Tachikaze, Nubatama and Murakumo."
Kaiya: "...The five great clans are common knowledge in the Empire, what does it have to do with anything"
Mr. Mark: Common knowledge you say… Then why are there five clans?"
Kaiya: "Huh? What do you mean?"
Mr. Mark: "Isn't five such a specific number? Why not have more clans?... It would certainly boost our military strength and versatility, don't you think?"
Kaiya: "What's your point? The five great clans were formed long ago to bring order to the Empire. The whole continent was in chaos before they established the necessary order. They were enough to get the job done, so why would other clans be necessary?"
Mr. Mark: "You're right, they were enough to establish order. But those clans were all formed by Vanguards long ago.
Kaiya: "Huh!?"
: "It is said that five humans with mysterious abilities appeared in an era of Chaos. They served as a beacon of hope for our nation when we needed it the most… They were heroes."
Miwa: "...In saving our nation, those individuals each formed their own factions along with the entities that supported them. These five factions would go on to be known as the clans that we know of today. So you see, the origins of the great clans have as much to do with vanguards, So it is impossible to mention one without the other."
Mr. Mark: "Yes. These five humans were said to have had god-like capabilities. One such ability and the most basic of all was one that allowed them to resonate with the different entities of that time."
Kei: "That term again, Resonate?"
Miwa: "Yes… It's quite the phenomenon actually. Our theory on how it works so far is not concrete, so we don't know all the details exactly. However, we believe all lifeforms on this planet possess some sort of innate and unique energy. Vanguard's are capable of resonating with entities that reflect or have similar enough energy as themselves. Through this, they are able to manipulate and enhance these entities in a variety of different ways."
Kei: "I see… So they 'resonate' with entities that have similar energy as them."
Izaki: "Oh! when you put it that way, it totally makes sense."
Mr. Mark: "Yes… Now Miwa, if you don't mind. I'd like for you to demonstrate what a vanguard is able to do after resonating with another entity"
Miwa: "Ok"
Miwa closes her eyes and stretches her right hand out in front of her
…A red aura begins enveloping her body
"Hear my call, and come forth…"
a ball of red light appears in her palm
"Manifest and show us your form, Red Pulse Dracokid!"
The ball of light slowly expands until it resembles a fluffy red baby dragon.
Izaki: "Huh!?"
Kei and Kaiya: "..."
The thin red aura slowly fades away and Miwa is now facing the baby dragon.
Mr Mark: "That was the power to call an entity you have resonated with and has recognized you as its vanguard."
Kaiya: "That is akin to teleportation, that's incredible…"
Mr. Mark: "Quite astute of you. You are in fact correct. She essentially teleported the dragon to our location, that is the essence of the power we refer to as 'call'
…
Dracokid: "I'm really sleepy, could you make this quick Miwaaaa?"
Miwa: "(*Chuckles slightly*) School must've been quite tiring today I see. Please hold out a little bit longer okay?"
Dracokid: "Hmm… Okay! just for a little while longer rrr"
Izaki: "Am I going crazy, or is she actually talking to the dragon and it's actually responding?"
Kei: "...Call huh?"
Mr. Mark: "Correct. That is just one example of what a vanguard is really capable of… My job is to teach you how to utilizing your abilities to advance the Empire's fighting force"
Kei: "...Sounds to me that we're just gonna be used as some Military power for your sakes"
Everyone goes quiet for a moment
Kei: "...I'm guessing we don't get much of a choice do we? Whether to return home or stay here I mean…"
Mr. Mark: "...I've been instructed to kill you if you decide not to comply with our wishes"
Miwa looks in shock at Mr. Mark
Kei: "Figures. Message received." He holds down his head sighs in disappointment
Miwa: "...I-It's about time we began the training, don't you think, ?"
Mr. Mark: "(*nods*) Yes, you're right... Let us begin"
[Dragon Empire's western capital, Dragonia]

Kei and Miwa nonchalantly stroll down the bustling city streets of the capital
Miwa: "Thanks for helping with the shopping in Izaki's place, I really appreciate it."
Kei: "Not a problem. I've been cooped up in that mansion for weeks, I'm actually glad to be the one getting some fresh air for once"
Miwa: "Oh? Why don't you just take this chore from Izaki then?"
Kei: "(*Sighs*) There's just no way I could do that, he loves coming out here way too much."
Miwa: "(*Smiles*) I see… That's such a nice thing to do for a friend"
Kei: "Yeah? You think so?"
They soon come up on a crowd of people gathering around some reason
Miwa: "Hmm? I wonder what's happening, another skirmish?"
Kei: "Another? Does that happen often?"
Miwa: "Skirmishes do happen but only small ones mostly. I'd wager it's members of two different clans having a dispute of some sort. Shall we check it out?"
The two walk over and assimilate with the crowd.
In front of them stands A red human sized dragon with golden wings protruding from its back. It had a long tail, sharp black claws and ferociously sharp lookin teeth.
Facing it were two others. The first was a large muscular man wearing red and black armor with sharp large teeths running down the middle of the chest. This was no ordinary man however, as he constantly emits a strange light blue aura from all over his body. This was far from the strangest feature that the man possessed due to the fact that he was not a human. His entire body was blue along with his short spiky hair. His viscous look said it all… This was no man, but a demon.
The second was in fact also a demon, though much less intimidating. He looked like an ordinary man with black hair and beady yellow eyes. He wore sharp tipped metal boots, a blue sleeveless jacket with a black undershirt and baggy white pants. His accessories included a long blue belt pinning a yellow shawl underneath. This is finished off by his yellow headdress which holds a feather pinned by a red gem in the front. He carried around a nasty looking spear…
Miwa taps on a bystander's shoulder
Miwa:"Do you know why those three are fighting?"
Bystander: "no idea, they just started to clash as soon as they saw each other"
…
Red dragon: "You bastards wanna take me on at the same time? Where's your pride as warriors!"
The two demons simultaneously attack without replying to the dragon
'Whoosh!'
The demon with the spear quickly closes the distance between them
He stabs at the dragon's head.
'Dodge'
The dragon ducks under the spear
'Shing'
His claws extrude as he goes to stab the demon
'Cling!'
The blue demon wearing red armor blocks the dragon with his armored forearm.
Red Dragon: "Huh!?"
'Snatch'
The armored demon snatches the dragon's hand and holds it tightly.
'Bam!'
He quickly uses his other hand and decks the dragon in the face
The dragon's head whips back slightly as he shifts his body weight and kicks the demon back in the face.
'Whack!'
The demon releases the dragon's arm and is pushed back slightly.
The spear demon quickly comes up beside the Dragon
'Swoosh!' 'swoosh!' 'Swoosh!' 'Swoosh!' 'Swoosh!'
He jabs at the dragon with a flurry of spear strikes.
The dragon easily weaves through the spear strikes
'Whack!
and kicks the demon in the stomach.
'Crash!'
The demon is sent crashing into a nearby shop
Red dragon: "Crap!"
At this point, the bystanders realized how dangerous the fight was becoming. Most of them quickly scatter in fear for their life.
The spear demon casually walks out of the rubble of the destroyed shop and brushes himself off.
The armored demon and the spear demon walk towards each other and come face to face, they then turn and face the dragon.
They suddenly begin their assault again…
'Swoosh!' 'Swoosh!' 'Swoosh!'
The dragon manages to dodge multiple attacks from the strange spear.
'Weaving'
He tries to counter-attack
'Block!'
He gets blocked by the demon in red armor.
'dodge'
After dodging the spear that seemed to have a mind of its own
'Bam'
He is struck from behind with a punch from the armored demon and sent crashing into the ground.
'lunge'
The spearman then lunges at him to pierce him…
'Clash!'
Suddenly, the spear comes to a complete halt…
It is stopped by a glowing red sword being held by a boy
The boy's hair was flaming red and even resembled a flame. He clothed his small stature with a sleeveless brown vest and brown knee length shorts. His shins were bandaged up completely and his feet were housed by brown shoewear. His left arm was covered in green dragon-like armor and his face had strips of the same dragon-like armor covering his forehead and cheeks
Tahr (Spear demon): "You…? Why have you stopped me, Aleph?"
Aleph: "What's the point of this fight? Why are you causing such a scene?"
Bahr (Red armored demon): "We'd prefer if you stayed out of our business. What we do away from the field of battle is none of your concern"
Aleph: "You're wrong, this is my business! We are a part of the same clan, so why are we fighting each other?"
Tahr: "It's as Bahr said, this is none of your concern…"
Aleph: "That may be, but we're here on an official mission… I implore you to stand down or the commander will hear of this…"
Tahr: "Tch! very well. We'll leave this matter unsettled for now, but be weary on the battlefield Amber dragon, we will meet again."
Bahr and Tahr walk off ignoring the small crowd that had gathered. The boy then turns and addresses the dragon.
Aleph: "(*sighs*) On behalf of my allies, I'd like to apologize for the trouble we've caused"
Amber Dragon: "…"
The dragon walks off into the crowd and disappears in an instant without sharing a single word with the young boy.
Aleph smirks slightly before then vanishing from the scene without drawing anyone's notice
Miwa: "Well that was some interesting developments. What do you think?"
Miwa looks over at Kei only to realize he was no longer there
Miwa: "Huh?"

After the dragon disappeared Kei started to chase it. He soon finds himself in a narrow alleyway with a dead end.
Kei: "I know you're there!… Why don't you stop hiding and just come out here already?"
A small red dragon walks out of a corner of the alley way
Amber dragon: "Why have you followed me human?"
Kei: "{Is this really the creature I was chasing? It looks like him but a lot smaller. Could this be his child or something?}"
Kei: "You're saying I followed you, that means you're the same dragon that was fighting in the street earlier?"
Amber dragon: "And what if I am?"
Kei: " To be honest, I'm not so sure… I followed you purely out of instinct"
Amber dragon: "Instinct?...Who the hell are you (*growls*)"
Kei: "{It's clear he doesn't trust me; I must choose my answers very carefully}"
Kei: "I guess you could say, I am one that can lead this Empire into a new era… my name is Kei…"
The dragon goes silent and his eyes widen for a moment...
His eyes become narrow again and his teeth grow larger.
It looks as if he is about to attack at any moment.
'Pounce!'

Miwa: "Keeeiii! I know you're here somewhere, come out already!"
Kei quickly glances behind him out of shock
Kei: "She found me already!?"
When he turns back towards the dragon, it has disappeared.
Kei: "He's gone... Miwa might've saved my life just now; it looked like he was going to kill me…"
Kei scratches his head and walks out of the alley way
Miwa: "There you are! If you didn't want to hang out with me any longer, you could've just said so. I'm sure it wouldn't hurt my feelings as much as you running away." She says as she playfully pinches his cheeks
Kei: "What are you talking about? It was nothing like that at all…"
Miwa: "Hmm… (*pouts*) I don't believe you "
Miwa face becomes serious for a moment
Miwa: She whispers softly under her breath "Good, I thought I was gonna have to kill you…"
Miwa then walks off towards the market place
Kei: "{Did she mean for me to hear that? She must have…}"
Kei walks closely behind the cute blonde haired girl.

From a building close by, a pair of Dragonic eyes watches the two as they leave
Amber Dragon: "One that can lead the empire into a new era huh? Are you our vanguard?"
