I DO NOT COBRA KAI OR BREAKING BAD. SHOUTOUT TO ALL THOSE WHO GIVE A DAMN ABOUT THIS STORY.
Later that day.
As lunchtime finally rolled around, Jesse's stomach sounded like a pissed off wookie. Thankfully, he had heard from a semi reliable source, I.e. Aisha, that it was going to be Sloppy Joe day in the cafeteria and Jesse never turned down a good sloppy Joe. After he got his main course, complete with lime jello and a banana, Jesse looked around the cafeteria for a place to sit. Luckily, he wasn't alone in his search.
"Hey Jesse!" Miguel exclaimed with a wave as he was sitting at a table with 2 nerdy looking dudes. Sitting with nerds was basically social suicide, but Jesse was smart enough to know that beggars can't be choosers.
"What's up?" Jesse replied with a smile as he went over to his friend and sat at the table.
"This is Demetri and Eli, guys…this is Jesse Pinkman." Miguel said as Jesse waved to his new compadres.
"'Sup." He replied.
"2 arrivals in one day, this must be a record." Demetri replied with false excitement. Eli of course said nothing, and tried to hide his lip. Demetri was clearly the brains of this outfit and depending on you point of view, that was either a whole lot, or not a whole lot at all.
"So, you make any new friends, Jesse?" Miguel asked in an attempt to make conversation.
"Met this 1 chick in science class, her name's Aisha Robinson." Jesse admitted as the guys perked up in interest.
"Is she hot?" Eli asked quietly.
"She ain't exactly a supermodel, but she's got some serious smarts and that's kind of sexy." Jesse explained as he saw Aisha sitting over at a table with some other nerds. She saw Jesse looking at her and gave him a smile. Jesse returned it and added a wave for good measure. While Jesse was focused on Aisha, the other dudes were focused on the rich girls that were walking into the cafeteria at that moment. Sam, Moon, and Yasmine were looking like regular plastics as they took their seats at their designated table.
"Dude, don't torture yourself, those are the rich girls." Demetri remarked as he saw Miguel and Eli lusting.
"Do you ever talk to them or...?" Miguel asked casually.
"Oh yeah, all the time." Demetri retorted with sarcasm. "We hang out after school; make out, give each other hand jobs. Eli here is the homecoming king, gets laid more than Ianyone. Isn't that right, Eli?"
"Yo, you 2 are a couple of virgin extraordinaries, we get it." Jesse snapped with an eye roll.
"Talk to them, you realize what table you're sitting at, right?" Demetri continued, unfazed by Jesse's remark. "You've pretty much signed away all hopes of losing your virginity before college."
"Oh shit, Yasmine's looking at us." Eli said nervously "Probably just making fun of me."
"Probably." Jesse nodded, knowing that it sounded rude, but was more likely then not accurate.
"I don't think she's making fun of you." Miguel said, which got Jesse to shake his head at the boy's naïveté. "I mean, just because they're hot doesn't mean they're mean."
"I don't care if Yasmine is the meanest girl at school." Demetri remarked in a pathetic display. "I'd kill both of you just to get her to spit in my face."
"Dude, have some fucking dignity, please!" Jesse exclaimed as he was damn near overcome by the pathetic loser sitting across from him.
"Dignity isn't going to kiss me." Demetri argued.
"Yeah...well, if you don't make a move, you're never going to have a shot with her." Miguel pointed out.
"True, but I'll also never suffer a humiliating rejection." Demetri pointed out, in a rare moment of reason. "I'm at peace with my depression. Last thing I need to be is suicidal." Jesse rolled his eyes at the loser as Miguel clearly decided that he didn't want to follow in Demetri's footsteps.
"Tell you what Miguel, come on over with me and i'll introduce you." Jesse offered as Miguel nodded eagerly.
"What are you doing?" Demetri asked in shock as they stood up.
"Striking first." Miguel shot back as Jesse motioned for him to follow him over to the girl's table.
"Oh, shit, I hope we don't get hit with the shrapnel." Demetri said to Eli as they faded away into nerdy obscurity.
"Hi Sam, mind if we join you for lunch?" Jesse asked as he approached the girl's table.
"Sure Jesse, who's your friend?" Sam inquired as he and Miguel took their seats.
"Miguel Diaz, met him before class started. Miguel, meet Samantha LaRusso." Jesse introduced.
"Hi Sam." Miguel said awkwardly, but in a cute way.
"Hi Miguel." Sam replied in the same manner while Moon set her eyes on Jesse.
"So Jesse, I never got your number at the pool party before Sam's dad had to crash it." She said with eagerness in her voice.
"Trust me yo, I've been kicking myself about that." He assured her with a chuckle as she motioned for his hand. Jesse extended it to her and Moon pulled out a green pen and proceeded to write her number on his palm, along with a smiley face and the words CALL ME.
"You better believe that I am going to take you up on that offer." Jesse assured Moon as she giggled and blushed in his direction.
"You'd better, I don't give my number to just anyone." Moon remarked as she ran her fingertips over Jesse's outstretched hand. As the 2 couples proceeded to bond with each other over lunch, none of them noticed that Yasmine was very displeased about being the odd bitch out.
