Aisha Robinson's House. Encino, California. The next day.
As the final bell rang throughout the halls, Jesse Pinkman had mixed feelings about the end of the day. On the one hand, Jesse was stoked, as any boy his age would be, that classes were done for the day. However, the problem was that what was waiting at home for him was the 2 shitheads that were his parents. The last thing that he needed was to hear was how much of an angel Jake was and how much of a disappointment he was turning out to be. The lectures that Jesse was forced to sit through had been given so many times that he practically had them memorized by now.he figured that he might as well just find a place to smoke.
While Jesse was shoving books into his backpack, he saw Aisha coming up to him. He could see that she was clearly concerned about something.
"Hey Jesse..,how are you?" Aisha inquired shyly as he shut his locker to give his classmate full attention.
"Eh, not looking forward to all this homework, to be honest." Jesse shrugged as he sling his pack over his shoulders.
"Oh…um…I was wondering if you wanted me to give you a little tutoring?" Aisha asked as she tried to keep her cool. Jesse's first thought was to refuse, because he'd had enough of science for the day. However, it would get him away from his dumb ass parents; plus, he didn't want to hurt her feelings.
"You know what? Let's do it, yo." Jesse decided, earning a smile from Aisha.
"You really want to?" She asked in surprise.
"For sure, I need the practice." Jesse assured her as she motioned him out to her car. At least if he had to be bored by science facts, he be bored by someone fun.
Robinson House. Encino, California. Later that afternoon.
Jesse had to admit that he was rather jealous of Aisha's ride. It was a silver BMW 2 convertible and it looked badass. There were certainly more hardcore rides out there, but considering that Jesse did not possess a car. He had no room to talk. When they arrived at the Robinson residence, Jesse was amazed to see how awesome the house looked. It was clearly a rich person's home.
"Damn…is your family loaded or what?" Jesse asked as his mouth was watering while Aisha led him inside.
"My dad used to play for the Los Angeles Chargers." Aisha replied with a small smirk as the 2 took off their shoes.
"Should we be expecting him or your mom anytime soon?" Jesse inquired as Aisha led him upstairs to her room.
"I doubt it, my dad is coaching a little league football team & my mom likes gossiping with the neighbor ladies." Aisha assured him as they entered her bedroom. As Jesse looked around Aisha's room, he saw that it was a geeky chic type dwelling. She had posters with geeky sayings such as Shut your pi hole! Jesse looked on her mantle and found that she had won many academic awards: spelling bees, honor rolls, robot battle championships.
"Damn girl, you got some bitching brains in your head." Jesse remarked with his back to Aisha, missing the blush on her face.
"Yeah…I could never really pull off sexy, so smart was my only option." Aisha replied dejectedly, prompting Jesse to move closer and put his hand on her shoulder.
"Yo, that's bullshit…That is bullshit, Aisha." Jesse assured her as he looked at her straight in the eye. "You may not be like…Chrissy Teigen or Aly Raisman, but that doesn't mean Jack shit. Aisha, you ain't got to be some supermodel to land a dude."
"Well, most of the students at school didn't get that memo." She shrugged as she clearly wanted to believe Jesse's words, but years of rich bitches like Yasmine and Moon made sure that any self confidence that Aisha had in her physical appearance had been utterly ground into the dirt.
"Well, screw those lame ass bitches." He shot back as Aisha offered him a small but appreciative smile.
"Thanks Jesse…we should probably get to the biology notes." Aisha replied as she pulled out her notebook to share with her classmate.
"For sure." Jesse said as for the next couple of hours, Aisha guided Jesse through the first couple chapters of the biology textbook. It was every bit as boring as the Pinkman boy had feared it would be, but to Aisha's credit, she tried super hard to make it as fun for him. As tedious at it was, some of the material managed to stick in his addled brain.
"Ok, now the section on plant cells is done, we can move onto animal cells…" Aisha started to say before Jesse's phone started playing his Ringtone; set to Rock N Roll All Night by KISS.
"Shit…I'm sorry, I'll take care of it." Jesse said as he picked up the phone.
"It's fine." Aisha assured him.
"Yo?" Jesse asked as he paced about Aisha's room.
"Hey Jesse, it's Sam." Jesse's fake fling spoke into the phone.
"Oh, hey Sam, what's up?" He asked as he was surprised to hear her voice.
"Not much, um…do you have any plans tonight?" She asked in return.
"I'm just studying some biology shit with Aisha, why?" Jesse inquired.
"Well…you remember that picture we took at the neighborhood BBQ to screw with Kyler; totally worked, by the way." Sam said with a mixture of glee and nervousness.
"A cute girl hanging onto me? Rings a bell." Jesse teased, earning a giggle from Sam.
"Well…my dad kind of saw it." Sam explained as Jesse cursed under his breath. The last thing that he needed to deal with was a shotgun toting dad.
"Let me guess, now he wants to kick my sorry ass?" Jesse replied in frustration.
"The opposite actually…he wants you to come over for Friday family dinner." Sam explained as Jesse was caught off guard.
"Dinner? You did explain to your old man that we aren't actually dating; we were just playing that ass bandit back for 2 timing you?" He inquired.
"I told him that we were just friends and he said we were just giving you a meal. I think he's trying to make it up to me for ruining the pool party…please Jesse, I need you do this 1 more thing for me." Sam pleaded as Jesse turned to Aisha.
"Yo, Sam's dad invited me over for dinner, is it cool if I bail?" He asked as Aisha gave him a thumbs up.
"I'm in." Jesse relented.
"Great, come around 5:30." Sam insisted with glee as she hung up.
"Usually, I'm the last guy that some girl's dad would invite into their house." Jesse said wryly as Aisha put her arm around him.
"I've know Mr. LaRusso for years, he's a great guy. You're going to be fine." She promised as Jesse shrugged, still believe that this evening could only end in disaster.
