Chapter 10: Sonya Drops The Bomb, The Truth Revealed.

2023 Archives Architectural Terminal

Sonya blasted out of the room, managing to dispatch a few tentacles on her way out. She landed right on a light, and she looks around.

Sonya: So what does Amy look like in this time period?

Sonic: Tall as me, green eyes, pink fur, long quills that go past her shoulders, in mortal danger, I'm sure you can find her!

Sonya: What is she doing at Robotnik Enterprises? Does she work here?

Sonic: No, she was meeting up with me, before my double shift… We were gonna go have dinner together… It's all my fault…!

Sonya: Calm down. I said I'd handle it. Shouldn't be hard to find!

Sonya jumps right out the room, then zips down a corridor. Across from her, she could see Amy Rose fighting off tentacles with her Piko Piko hammer. She seemed to be doing fine, but she looked around in a panic!

Amy: Sonic! Where are you?!

Amy's hammer gets snatched by the tentacles, forcing her to run further into the lounge!

Sonya: Sonic, I see her. She's looking for you.

Sonic: It's my fault she's there… Is she safe???

Sonya: She was holding off the tentacles, but she lost her Piko Piko hammer.

Sonic: Then help her for crying out loud!!

Sonya dashes across the gap, landing on the opposite side. She rushes down a set of halls, then comes to another open area, spotting Amy across the way. She just got her hammer back.

Sonya: Amy Rose, head to the sound of my voice! Amy Rose!!

Amy: Oh thank– wait, who are you?!

Amy gets smacked by a tentacle, but she sprung back up, smacking it back with her hammer.

Amy: I don't care, just help me!!

Amy runs further into the lounge again!

Sonya: AMY ROSE!! Shock!

Sonya's path was blocked by a security field, but she growls in frustration before blipping out, then reappearing where she was, the fields coming down.

Sonic: She's dead isn't she?! Hurry Sky!!

Sonya: I'm doing my best! I have my own problems right now!!

Sonic: And don't talk to me about problems!!

Sonya: Calm down.

Sonic: NO.

Sonya: Why???

Sonic: Seconds ago, the computer said she was crushed by some falling debris! Now it says shes dies– wait, its changing again!!

Sonya: It's the Quantum Causality, Sonic! There's so much going on on this end that it's going haywire! NOW CALM DOWN!!! I have enough to worry about without you freaking out in my head!!

Sonic: Okay… Okay… I'm trying to keep it together Sonya, but tell me SOMETHING. Anything!

Sonya was dashing through the halls, avoiding tentacles and guards alike to try and catch up with Amy.

Sonya: I'm trying to find her. Temporal rifts are opening all over. It's like the fabric of space time is being stretched thinner and thinner. It may reach a point where it's irreparable…

Sonya skids to a stop when she sees Amy next to the door leading to the building's main elevator shaft.

Sonya: Amy, find shelter and stay there, I'll come to you!

Amy: Okay! Please hurry!

Amy heads to the elevator, taking shelter within. After a quick jump and avoiding tentacles, Sonya landed in front of it.

Amy: There you are… At first I thought you were… But you sound different. MOVE different.

Sonya: Sonic sent me.

Amy: He did?! Is he okay?!

Sonya: He's fine, but it's a long story. I'll explain the best I can when I get you out, okay?

Amy: O-okay.

Sonya: Alright. Sit tight, I'll have you out in–

Before Sonya or Amy could say another syllable, the tentacles appeared above the elevator, cutting the cables and causing it to begin falling. Amy screams out in sheer terror at this. Sonya was wide eyed as this happened.

Sonya: Shit!

She jumps down the elevator shaft, going after Amy!

Sonya: Hang on! HANG OOOOON!!!!

Sonic: … WHAT'S HAPPENING?!?!?!

Sonya: Nothing good! What's it say on your end?!

Sonic: THAT SHE DIES IN A ELEVATOR!!

Sonya: NOT GONNA HAPPEN!!!

Sonya rolls up and revs a mid air Spindash, then darts down to the elevator. She landed on it, and tried to pry its emergency exit open, but in a moment of quick thinking, she kicked the side to prevent Amy from crashing and dying! She then continued her pursuit, but now tentacles were trying to stop her!

Sonic: Sonya! No change!

Sonya: That's because I haven't gotten to her yet!!

Sonic: I know you didn't want to do this, but please…

Sonya: Sonic, I swear to you! I wouldn't be doing this if I wasn't sure I could save her! (Thinking) And I KNOW I can, I messed up once, and I WILL NOT DO IT AGAIN!!!

Sonya revs up yet another Spindash, darting to the elevator and she manages to pry the exit open, but she had to kick Amy out of the way again as there wasn't enough time to get her out then. Sonya ran down the sides of the elevator shaft, keeping up with the elevator.

Amy: Get me out of here!!

Sonic: Sonya, it's changing again!

Sonya: What's it say now?

Sonic: Actually… nothing. What's that mean?

Sonya: Honestly? One of two things. Either A, she wasn't important enough to be remembered, or B…

Sonic: … She doesn't die?!

Sonya: Bingo! And I'm about to make it the latter!!

Sonya leaps onto the elevator, holding her hand out for Amy. Amy jumps up and grabs it, Sonya then leaps off the elevator a split second before it crashes, then uses her Mag Hook to get higher up to a safer place. Once there, she set Amy down briefly, but then had to catch her due to Amy fainting.

Sonya: I got her. She's okay.

Sonic: *Sighs in relief* Thanks… Thank you. Really, this… this means a lot to me.

Sonya: No problem, dad–

Sonya froze in place, her eyes wide. She did NOT just blurt that out! She was internally smacking herself for it! She wasn't supposed to reveal that yet!!

Sonic: … D-did you just… call me DAD???

Sonya: … Um…

Amy stirs and she wakes, looking at Sonya.

Amy: Wait… Are you talking to Sonic, right now? Do you have a smart phone somewhere?

Sonya: A smart what? I MEAN, sure! That's it!

Sonya chuckles nervously.

Amy: C-can I…?

Sonya: You'll have plenty of time to talk with Sonic after all this is over. You two will have your whole lives together.

Sonic: Hey! Don't ignore me!

Sonya: Uh, hang on Amy, I gotta… address something…

Amy: Y-yeah, go ahead.

Sonya sets Amy down and then walks away, making sure she wasn't in ear shot but still had her eyes on Amy.

Sonic: Did you, just now, call me "dad"?

Sonya: … I did…

Sonic: Care to explain?

Sonya: … My full name is Sonya Oglevie Hedgehog… I'm a speedster Hedgehog from 2059…

Sonic: Wait. Oglevie? That's MY name…

Sonya: Yeah… You gave it to me as my middle name… A month after I was born…

Sonic: So... You're...?!

Sonya: Yes. I'm your biological daughter, and Amy Rose is my mother. What I said a while ago was "I was hoping you would say that"...

Silence. Sonya was a bit worried now…

Sonya: S-sonic…?
