It was a clear and sunny day. George and Harold were taking a school field trip to the local sewer plant, it had been a long time since the boys had last pulled a prank in school and it felt longer since the last time their superhero Captain Underpants had been summoned to deal with a major crisis.

Today was just another regular day and this day felt right, just a simple field trip, with nothing major occurring.

George and Harold stepped off the bus with the rest of the class, including the humorless student Melvin Sneedly. The school principle, Mr. Benjamin Krupp (aka Captain Underpants), stepped off the bus with the boys. Mr. Krupp intended to keep an eye on the two kids to make sure they didn't get up to trouble again, even though he'd lightened up a bit in recent days.

Was it because his Captain Underpants persona was starting to bleed through?

That was an interesting thought, even though George and Harold still had to snap their fingers in order for Krupp to become the intrepid red-caped and underpants-clad 'tra-la-la-laaaaa' man himself. But then again, people did change over time and Krupp wasn't as grumpy as he used to be, even though he was firm.

"Can't you believe we're visiting a legit sewer plant, it's wild!" George quipped with a grin.

"Good day, class." The tour guide greeted the students at the entrance after they'd all stepped off the bus, she was a nice woman with long hair, "If you're all ready to see the plant and learn more about how places like this work, then please follow me."

"Hope no one tries to sue 'er during the tour of the sewer." Harold joked, "Get it? Sue her, sewer."

"Oh, sure." George chuckled, "Someone running the sewer is going to sue her system!"

"You guys make lame jokes." Melvin said, overhearing the conversation.

"Excuse me, boys." Mr. Krupp chimed in, "I think we should save the jokes for another time while our tour guide is talking."

Luckily for George and Harold, the principle didn't yell at them. They fell silent, despite failed efforts to contain their giggles. The guide led them through the hallway of the plant and onto a platform overlooking a large watery area surrounded by pipes flowing with water. The water was full of the typical waste found in sewers. Luckily, the smell didn't get to the students.

"...And this is where we take care of everything from the sewers." The tour guide said.

"Oooh." The kids remarked.

Just then, the area began to vibrate and pipes clattered. The class chattered in confusion and an alarm blared. The guide tapped her ear and muttered something, the vibrations picked up a little. And then, without warning, a huge green-colored creature with moss-like skin burst from the depths and roared loudly.

"SEWER PLANT MONSTER!" George yelled.

"Where did THAT come from?!" Mr. Krupp asked with bewilderment.

"If I didn't know better, that thing looks like it was some sort of frog mutated by radioactivity." Harold remarked.

"HOW IS THAT POSSIBLE?!" George grabbed Harold, "CREATURES BEING MUTATED BY RADIATION ONLY HAPPENS IN THE MOVIES, RADIOACTIVE MONSTERS AREN'T SUPPOSED TO BE REAL! SO, HOW COULD THAT THING BE SOME SORT OF PRODUCT OF RADIATION?!"

CRASH! The green creature smashed through a pipe and water sprayed everywhere. Luckily, the class didn't get drenched in waste, but that monster was still a threat to the area. The creature leaped onto a pipe and roared monstrously. George and Harold looked at each other while the class began to evacuate, even the tour guide was in a panic.

"What do we do?" George asked.

"I think we already know." Harold looked at a frightened Mr. Krupp.

"Looks like the tour's been cancelled." The principle remarked, "I didn't see this coming."

"The tour ain't over yet." George told Krupp.

The boys snapped their fingers and Mr. Krupp ran through a door, the tour guide looked around in confusion while the platform quaked. The rest of the class had already fled and the monster was tearing apart the pipes. Just then, a large man in red and white emerged from the nearest door and posed in a heroic manner.

"TRA-LA-LAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!" Captain Underpants declared.

"Is it just me or is he running around in a red cape and underpants?" The tour guide asked.

"Have no fear, ma'am." The underpants-clad superhero said confidently, "Captain Underpants is here to fight that monster and send it packing to... wherever it came from."

"Go get 'em, Captain Underpants!" George and Harold whooped.

Captain Underpants leaped off the platform and flew towards the Sewer Plant Monster, who roared ferociously when it saw it's opponent coming. The amazing Captain Underpants punched the creature in the face and flew to a higher platform, the beast roared angrily at its attacker and Captain Underpants chuckled confidently.

The sewer monster crawled up a pipe and lunged at the hilarious defender of justice, its eyes flashing with rage. Captain Underpants stepped aside, avoiding the sewer monster's first attack, and then he ducked to avoid the next attack.

Down below, George and Harold watched, hoping that their principle/hero would be able to take down this ugly creature just like with the talking toilets, Doctor Diaper and Professor Poopypants.

Evading another vicious attack from the horrifying Sewer Monster, Captain Underpants counterattacked and punched the creature hard across the face, sending it stumbling a few feet towards the edge of the platform.

"It's only been a couple of days since we defeated Professor Poopypants and that horrifying monster he summoned." Captain Underpants said, "But it isn't long before trouble strikes again and when a hero is needed to deliver the will of justice to those who side with the power of injustice. No monster is going to terrorize a sewer plant on my watch!"

The monster came in for another attack and Captain Underpants punched the ugly creature harder, then he launched a kick and struck the sewer plant monster in the underside. Captain Underpants then floated into the air, grabbed the monster and picked up the hideous troublemaker with all of the strength that he had.

He flew into the air, taking the sewer monster with him, despite how "heavy" it seemed to be. And then, Captain Underpants swung his arms, released the creature from his grasp, and threw it as far as he could.

"Alright, Captain Underpants!" George and Harold cried happily.

"I don't know much about you..." The tour guide said to Captain Underpants, "But thank goodness you showed up to deal with that thing as soon as possible. Aside from some damage that we can fix, you saved the plant and I don't know how else to thank you."

Captain Underpants smiled to the guide, "Anytime you need someone to fight the battles you can't, whenever there is trouble, Captain Underpants will be on the scene to deliver justice. But now, it's time to fly again."

George looked at Harold, knowing it was time to bring back Mr. Krupp. However, before they could figure out how they were going to do so, Captain Underpants leaped high and flew into the air, leaving the plant behind. He soared over the city with his cape flowing and, as he flew high, the captain cried a triumphant, "TRA-LA-LAAAAAAAAAAAAA!"

The End
