"That's a cool looking fruit," Adrien told Marinette as they enjoyed time on the balcony. "Its starfruit, and delicious. See, its shaped like a star."
Adrien held a piece, grinning at Marinette. "If I were to make a wish, it would go something like this." He cleared his throat and stood up.
"Starlight, Star bright, first star I see tonight.
I wish I may, I wish I might,
Marinette, will you be my Ladybug tonight?"
Marinette giggled, taking his hands as she stood up. "I would love to be your ladybug, but all good little ladybugs go to sleep in their flowerbeds at night. Our days are exhausting: Crawling stems, sipping nectar, always on the hunt for the next flower….."
"A flower like this?" Adrien plucked a white flower, and placed it behind her ear. "Its a moon flower, a perfect bed for ladybug." They looked at each and burst out laughing. "My wish did come true, Marinette. I got the best partner and friend in the world." Marinette intertwined her fingers with his. "And to think, you didn't even get to wish on a star that day, because their was a thunderstorm." "But the sun was shining on you." "Okay, you've been watching way to many Gene Kelly movies." "Yeah, but its fun to watch them with you!"
"The only thing I want to watch is the moon rise with you." They snuggled up in a chair, waiting for moon rise, their faces glowing for their wishes that had been wished upon the stars had come true.
