CHAPTER ONE

Valkyrie sat in the girls bathroom looking at the test she had in her hand, her heart slamming against her chest. Fuck fuck fuck. She said in a huge panic.

It had come back as Positive, what was she going to do, she was only 16?

She wondered back to Gryffindor common room in a trance and sat in front of the fire crying while waiting for her best friend to get back from her date.

As Ginny walked though the portrait hole, she spots her best friend sitting by the fire, legs brought up to her chest crying.

"Hey Valkyrie are you OK?" Ginny asked concerned at seeing her friend in tears.

"You know you can tell me anything".

"Yeah, I know thanks. I do have something to tell you".

"Sure thats what friends are for, I'll always be available to listen when it comes to you." Wrapping Valkyrie in her arms trying to soothe her distraught best friend

"Well, I'm pregnant and I don't know how Fletcher will take it. He's so unstable since I was kidnapped by the death eaters last summer, he thought he had lost me for good" she said in between crying and having a panic attack.

" Oh honey, it's ok. Would you like me have a word with him?"

" Sure, if you wouldn't mind, I just don't know how he'll react about it, i'm so scared about telling him".

" Leave it with me, i'll sort something out, When did this happen?

" When I went home for Easter, it happened that weekend ".

The following day Ginny sat down to write a letter to Fletcher, asking him to meet them in Hogsmeade on Saturday as Valkyrie had something important to tell him.

After breakfast both the girls walked to the Owlery to send the letter.

As Valkyrie had a double free period, she decided to go to the library to catch up on some homework she had fallen behind on, while Ginny went off to charms class after agreeing to meet for lunch.

"Valkyrie, wake up sweet, we were suppose to meet for lunch, you fell asleep while finishing your homework" Ginny said gently shaking her friends shoulder.

"Oh i'm sorry Ginny I didn't get much sleep due to all the worrying I have been doing." she replied sleepily while rubbing her eyes.

"Then let's miss lunch, I'm taking you to the school nurse. She will able to help, but you need to tell her about your pregnancy." demands Ginny with her friends best interest at heart.

As the girls walk in to the hospital wing the nurse asking what she can help with.

"Iv not been sleeping due to worrying, you see last night I found I was pregnant and i'm not sure how to tell my boyfriend, i'm worried about his reaction when he finds out she replied quietly and feeling ashamed".

"Well Miss Cain, lets see what we can do for you. I will need to inform the headmistress as she has parental responsibility while you are at school. Due to the fact that your minor, she'll need to write home informing your Guardian, and if I know Skullduggery I wouldn't want to be your boyfriend when he gets hold of him". The nurse said with a smirk on her face before doing an examination and confirming the pregnancy with a urine test.

The following day was the Hogsmeade visit. As the girls walk out of the castle doors Ginny gets a shock by seeing Harry walking towards her."Harry" Ginny yells, "what are you doing here?".

"Harry its so nice to see you again" Valkyrie said "Hows Skulduggery?".

"Day off" he replied gruffly to Ginny kissing her on the cheek, "Skullduggery is in the Three Broomsticks, he's been rather pissed off since he received an owl last night from Mcgonagall, he hasn't told me what its about" replying to Valkyrie

Fletcher looks a bit worried though especially since Skulduggery has been giving him the stink eye for the last hour or so, Fletcher did mentioned that he has received a letter from Ginny stating that you had something to tell him".

"Yeah I have, I've got to tell him that I'm pregnant."

Harry's eyes widened with shock realising why Skulduggery is pissed off.

"Valkyrie, Skulduggery's not going to like that" Harry stated.
