Author's note:
This is my first story ever, so that's something I suppose, I'm not sure what the point of this story is, it's more just to get used to writing and everything, and maybe try to imagine some fun moments for the Harry Potter world. I hope someone enjoys, it probably won't be great but we'll see.
Chapter One: A Rainy Afternoon
The Burrow was, for once, quite relaxed as Ron, Percy, Ginny and the twins settled around the wireless to listen to the quidditch World Cup marathon that saturday, their first one back from hogwarts. The first match was Japan vs Canada, but following a couple hours after that was the huge rivalry between England and Northern Ireland.
"What do you reckon for this match? I've got Japan here, they've got the best chasers in the world in my book," said Ron, reaching out for a bag of crisps.
"Yeah, the question is obviously if they can actually make things happen against Canad's beaters and keeper, but I'd say you're right, I'll go Japan," George replied.
The five siblings settled in lazily, listening to the match, eating snacks, and relaxing as the sound of the rain hitting the roof brought the group into a peaceful, drowsy bliss.
Ginny sat by the fireplace under a soft blanket and slowly started to doze off, Percy took out a book and began to read, Fred and George began to murmur to each other and write in notebooks which no one new the contents of, and Ron began sketching a combination of quidditch plays and chess strategies.
After a couple hours of the match, Japan's seeker caught the snitch to eliminate Canada, and they all cheered and turned the station to listen to England vs Northern Ireland. They all settled back in, Ginny woke up and began to write something, and everyone resumed their earlier activities. Ron took out two pieces of parchment and began writing letters to Harry and Hermione.
There was nothing all that special about that rainy afternoon at the Burrow, but that fact in itself is what was so special. Everyone settled in together, got to do what they loved, and was perfectly at peace.
