Chapter 5 Details and Arrangements

Harry watched everybody leave through the fireplace back to the Burrow. Ginny hadn't moved so he looked at her questionable. "What?" She asked. "Do you really think I will let you wander off alone again?"
He smiled at her and took her hands. "I love you." He said. "I would be glad if you stayed here if professor McGonagall has no objection that is." "Well, I have an objection." Said Mrs. Weasley.
"No, you don't." Said Ginny. looked shocked at her daughter.
"Ginerva Molly Weasley," She said in rage. "Don't you dare speak to me that way young lady. You will come with us home at once and let Harry and Professor McGonagall talk about their business in private."
"This is also my business." Ginny screamed back. "If you don't mind I would like to know what my boyfriend is getting himself into and if I am even going to see him the whole year, So if you don't mind I need to be here." was building up one of her famous tempers when professor McGonagall came between the two fighting women. "That will be enough." She yelled, as red sparks flew from her wand.
"Molly you go home and make us all a nice dinner will you please. Ginny can stay here because she is right that this also involves her. We all forget that sometimes. She can stay if and only if she will remain calm and do as she is told." Mrs. Weasley looked angry at professor McGonagall and said, "Minerva if you don't mind I will gladly make you dinner but only when MY DAUGHTER comes with me right now. I will not lose another one of my children." She cried as tears fell from her eyes.
At this point, Mr. Weasley just came back threw the fire as he was looking what kept the others.
"What is going on here?" He asked a little angry as he took his wife in his arms.
"She is taking my little girl away." Mrs. Weasley cried, "I am going to lose her just like I lost Fred." She cried even harder.
"What are you talking about?" He asked her.
"I want to stay here dad," Said Ginny, "I want to be part of these meeting Harry and Professor McGonagall are going to have because they also involve me." Arthur looked like he half understood.
"Harry is my boyfriend dad." Ginny said to him as she saw her fathers questioned look, "He is going to do a lot of things here this year so I want to know when or even if I can see my boyfriend sometimes, and stop him from doing stupid things" She added with a little smile towards Harry.
"I understand Ginny," He said, "but for now I want you to come home with us."
Ginny looked furious. "No dad I won't," she yelled. "I will stay here with Harry. Look dad if I come with you and mom I will never get the chance to be on my own. I need this. Please trust me for once will you."
"This has nothing to do with trust but more with the state of your mother is in Ginny and you know it." Said Mr. Weasley.
"Well if every time one of our family wants to do something on their own and mom goes ballistic we will never get out of the house at a normal age will we," Ginny said angrily. "What if Ron wanted to stay, I think that wouldn't have been a problem because he and Harry were away for almost a year."
"GINNY," Screamed Mrs. Weasley, "how can you say that!"
"Well, I just did because it is the truth and you know it." Ginny responded. "You all think of me as a little girl but I was here in the school last year with the death eaters in charge and I can tell you this that was no picnic." Tears were coming to Ginny's eyes. "I saw torture and had to endure torture," Ginny told as she started to cry, "so don't you start telling me what is right or wrong. I have been to hell and back in these very walls and nobody, not even you mother ever asked me how I was coping or how I felt. I believed my boyfriend to be dead and even saw his dead body with my own eyes.

NOBODY EVER ASKED ME HOW I FELT.

I lost my brother.

NOBODY EVER ASKED ME HOW I FELT.

So now you two can go home because I AM STAYING!"

After this last outburst, she broke down and cried as Harry put his arms around her.

"I'm sorry Ginny." He said. "I was always busy with this or that and never thought about how this must be affecting you. I never knew you were tortured here so please tell me who did that and I promise they will be sorry forever laying a hand on my girl" He said angrily.
Ginny looked at him and threw her tears she could see the tears in his eyes both from anger and hurt. Anger because she had been hurt. Hurt because he wasn't able to have kept her save after all that he had done.
Mrs. Weasley stepped out of her husband's arms and walked over to Ginny.
"It is I who must be sorry Harry, not you." She said to Harry and Ginny alike.
"We all knew that you had to go but we who stayed behind never ever thought about what it did to Ginny. She is right you know. We never ever asked her how she was feeling, we all took it she was kept safe here at Hogwarts but we never asked her if she really was safe."

She put her hands on Ginny's shoulders and turned her around.
"You can stay Ginny," She said, "no restrictions, and when you are done here I hope you will come home with Harry and Professor McGonagall for a great dinner."
"Mom where would I otherwise go?" Ginny asked.
"Well," She said, "perhaps you wanted to check Harry's quarters first with him alone and well let's just say try them out." She winked at her daughter.
"MOM," Ginny said, and she started giggling, "I hadn't thought about that but it is an idea but not for today."
She gave her mother a big hug and walked over to her father to do the same.
After her parents had left she turned to Harry and professor McGonagall and said, "Well how are we gonna do this meeting?"

"First we get some lunch," Said McGonagall "and under lunch we will discuss how we go from here."

Harry, Ginny, and professor McGonagall sat at a table in McGonagall's private quarters having lunch. "Harry how would you like to be announced as the new Defense against the dark arts teacher," professor McGonagall asked Harry during lunch.

"Well I had a little joke in mind," Harry answered. "I was thinking that for the whole return meal I could sit with my friends and that you announce only who will be teaching the seventh years. Then after dinner, you will announce me and I will sit at the table with the rest of the teachers.

Also if you don't mind I would like to have breakfast and lunch with my friends and will have diner at the teacher's table."

"I like what you have in mind Harry," said McGonagall, "but I have to think about the first part of your plan. The second I see no problems with those." She looked at the two teens. "Now for my rules," She said with a smile.

"If Sirius stays in your quarters here at the school I also want him to do some work around the school. This to keep him sane because I know how he hated it to be locked up in Grimmauld place. I will talk to him about it myself but I don't think he will object." McGonagall started laying out her rules. "Further I want you to attend the staff meetings we have every Monday evening after diner. The only reason for you to miss that meeting is when you have a test the next day and the two weeks before the NEWTS."
"I can do that." said Harry.
"Do I get the rest of the evenings off so I can do my homework?" Harry asked.
"Yes you don't have to patrol in the evenings but when I think it necessary you will do it." Came the answer from McGonagall.
"Okay," said Harry, "now for the embarrassing part. I just got Ginny back and well."
"Harry," Said McGonagall with a small smile. "I will put it this way. I think there are a lot of broom closets you and Ginny can try out, but keep in mind that when you get caught you will get treated as a student. I won't allow it in your quarters because they don't belong to you this year, you can use them when you have to examine tests but I would recommend you to that in your office behind the classroom so that Sirius can have the space he needs." Than McGonnagal looked at Ginny. "Ginny I expect from you that you will not disrespect any rules we make here today because of the difficult position it would bring upon Harry. Also, I want you to leave Harry alone when he is teaching, even when you have a free period at the same time I don't want you to be in his classroom of office." Professor McGonagall said to Ginny.

"But can I get him after his lessons so we can walk to dinner?" Ginny asked.

"When Harry is not teaching you can go to him in his classroom or office but keep in mind just to get him and nothing else. I won't have you two use the classrooms for anything but for lessons." Came the strict reply from McGonagall.

"Now I have one final question Harry, what is the salary you had in mind?"

"Payment?" Said Harry in amazement. "What do you mean?"

"Well," said McGonagall, "it is usual that a teacher gets paid for his or her services."

"But I'm not even a teacher," Harry replied, "I am still a student."

"A student who teaches all other years except his own Harry." Said Ginny.

"There are teachers here at Hogwarts who teach only the first three years and they also get paid so why not you." She asked him.

"Mrs. Weasley is absolutely right Harry," said McGonagall before Harry could respond. "so what do you say of 150 galleons a month?" She asked as Ginny's eyes grew wide with shock.

"I know what I am gonna do after school" She said. McGonagall smiled at her and said that her father would be earning a lot more than that.

"No he isn't," said Ginny, "I heard my parents talk a few years ago and my father gets about 220 galleons and he is a lot older than Harry, but that is okay because we always managed" Ginny concluded.

McGonagall looked at Ginny and smiled at her, "I promise you that your father and mother will have a nice surprise tomorrow when your father goes to the office but that is all I can say." She said to Ginny.

"Okay," Said Harry "150 galleons it is but I want this year that all my payments go to the Weasley's vault instead of mine, and I don't want them to know it comes from me."

Ginny's eyes filled with tears as she flew Harry around his neck.

"That is so wonderful Harry but why?" She asked.

"Simple," Harry said, "They always were there for me and gave me anything I needed when I knew they had little money. When I wanted to give your mother some money from my vault she always refused so this is my chance to give your family something in return."

"Okay, then I will give a bonus of 200 galleons so that at the end of the year they have a nice round 2000 galleons extra what do you say." Said, McGonagall.

"Thank you professor that is very generous of you." Harry said to McGonnagal.

"So with that out if the way I will contact you in about 2 weeks so you can have a look at what books you want, and may I suggest that you talk about this with Miss Granger because I think she will have some great ideas." McGonagal said to Harry than she looked at both Harry and Ginny and said. "Thank you for your time Harry and you to Ginny but please keep all that we have spoken about within this office. I understand that you want to talk about it with your friends or Arthur and Molly but not with anybody else ok."

"Sure professor we don't want to spoil the big surprise now do we." Said Harry and Ginny both at the same time.

"I will think about that big surprise thing but yes we don't want the world to know yet that Harry will be teaching, McGonnagal said with a big smile. "and Harry from now on please call me Minerva when there are other students around you call me professor just like I will call you professor when we around students. When you are in my class you will be Mr. Potter, but when we are in any other situation you will be Harry to me. The same goes for you Ginny." McGonagall added.

"I will keep it in mind prof Minerva," Harry corrected himself, "but it will be some getting used to."

"I don't know what the other teachers will say to you but that you will hear at the first meeting and that will be a week before the year starts. I will contact you as I said in about two weeks so we will talk about the rest then shall we." McGonagall said.

After that Harry and Ginny got up from their seats and said their goodbyes to Professor McGonagall walked over to the fireplace and went back home, where they had a lot to explain to the rest of the Weasley's.

Dinner was as great as you could expect from Molly Weasley as She could rival a professional chef with her cooking skills. After diner McGonnagal and her husband left. Harry and the others talked the whole evening and when Sirius finally came back they had a small party until two in the morning.

When Harry and Ron finally were in Ron's room the two friends stood there and smiled at each other. "WOW what a day," said Ron, "I still can't believe you are a teacher."

"Neither can I," said Harry, "but you know I must say it really feels good."
