Carlisle pov

After work I took showed Bella the way to my car. She seemed a bit nervous.

"She'll be happy to see you" I said

"It's not that. It's just been so long since you left"

"Are you mad at us for leaving?" I finally asked

"Not you or Esme. Only really was mad at Edward. I don't feel anger anymore but he's probably the only one I wouldn't forgive..." she paused

"I got through medical school so fast because that's what I put all my anger into" She smiled again

"But why did you leave me? You know you were the closest thing to a family I had" I saw her eyes getting teary

"To sum it up.. Edward wanted to make sure you remained human. He kept seeing Alice's vision of it happening in a hundred different ways he finally ran away. We tried to talk him out of it. When he ran away a few months after we debated coming back but we thought it be to hard for you"

There was a long moment of silence.

"Please don't leave me again"

"I won't"

A few minutes later we finally arrived. I opened the door for her and lead her inside.

Esme was standing waiting for us. She came up to Bella and hugged her. "Don't worry sweetie, we won't ever leave you behind again" is what she said.

Bella pov

They keep saying they won't leave me again. What does that mean? Will I be part of their family? It will they drag me from place to place every few years when people start noticing their lack of aging.

I love Carlisle and Esme. My mother didn't want me around anymore and my father was too busy for me. They were more like my parents than either of them.

I was holding back tears at this point.

Esme finally said something "How about you move in with us? It's so lonely here with just the two of us."

"I don't want to intrude on you"

"Please Bella, you've always been family to us. Let us prove that. We won't ever leave your side again"

I just nodded. Even though eventually they would leave my side.

I went into the room Esme showed me and went to bed fairly quickly.

Esme pov

"She's scared that we will leave her all over again"

"We promised we wouldn't"

"But she knows what we are. We are frozen in time and she isn't. She knows that eventually, we won't be at her side"

"Esme, she just got back into our lives. It wouldn't be wise to bring that on her right away."

"We also are putting her at risk by letting her back in. If the voltori find out about she knows"q

"If by the off chance that happens, we'll deal with it then"

I nodded at him. I know he's right. She may just run away if she thinks all we want is to turn her.
