Bella's pov

Once we were in Italy we checked into a hotel. I think people gave us some strange looks but maybe it was only me. I quickly changed into something nicer. Some black jeans and a red flannel.

We then made our way there. It looked like a castle almost. If I didn't think I may die I would admire its beauty.

As we walked into the room, it felt like entering a dungeon. I hear someone speak.

Carlisle pov

"Oh Carlisle, glad to see you could make it"

"It's not like I had a choice"

" It's unlike you to break the rules Carlisle not that I really believe it was you. I know you won't call out who did though"

"Come here girl, I won't hurt you yet"

She walked closer and offered her hand. I was scared for her. "I see nothing" Aro said

He looked confused at first then he looked at Jane and said "I wonder if all our powers don't have an effect on her"

I ran over to her. I was going to protect her but she said "it's fine Carlisle, it'll be easier this way" I stepped back for her wishes

"Pain" Jane said. Bella just stared at her blankly maybe confused if something should happen.

"One minute we have to discuss this"

Bella pov

Carlisle came and embraced me. I think he could tell I was all over confused.

"What's happening" I asked

"They are curious about you. They probably never had a human being immune to them before"

"Why am I immune to them"

"As you know vampires can have special gifts. Some of them appear in their human lives, some don't. It's really not a complete science. But they like vampires with gifts. They interest them"

We were silent after that. About five minutes later they came back.

"We have decided to let her live but not as a human. You have two weeks Carlisle, failure we will take both your lives. We will be checking"

Carlisle led me out of there and soon enough and back to the hotel. I didn't know what I was feeling.

Carlisle pov

"Are you okay"

"I'm not sure, I'm only alive because their gifts didn't work on me, right?"

"I wouldn't have let them kill you. You probably wouldn't of left there human either way though"

"It's like I'm a magnet to vampire drama"

"There is one more thing, they are known to lie about the timeline to trick people. It probably be wise to do it as soon as we get back home"

All she did was nod, I don't blame her. A few weeks ago she was finally living her best life now that we bumped paths again she's being forced to be a vampire.

"How long did it take" she asked

"Usually three days"

"Not that, how long did it take for you to good enough around people to be a doctor"

I didn't even think about that part. "It differs for everyone but I'll be right by your side this whole time. If it takes a year or a hundred you'll get there eventually.
