Summary: Aemond has tried everything to fulfill his duty as Omega, to give an heir.
But nothing seems to work and he has lost interest in his husband, who looks at him with utter disappointment every moon that passes and has not fathered a child.
Lucerys knows how bad it would be for his uncle, so convinced him and makes a proposal to his uncle, he will be the one to put a baby in his womb, just to help.
Or, the story where Aemond fails to get pregnant by his alpha and his nephew Lucerys volunteers.
Aemond settles into his usual presentation position, it's embarrassing, but at this point they have tried everything so that his husband's seed was able to plant itself in his fertile womb.
They have had no positive results and his husband is starting to get tired.
"Raise your hips higher," says the alpha, placing his hand on his back and giving him a light slap. Aemond moans, finding no pleasure in the words, more a moan of anguish. He feels like a silk street whore.
He moans again at the alpha's violent intrusion, not careful and not apologetic about it either. Aemond purses his lips and lets the alpha take him the way he wants.
They have been together for over a year, and have failed to conceive a child. The delight of the first times together has passed and all they have now are these moments when they try to do their duty.
They no longer look at each other to eat or share moments, they avoid each other as much as possible unless their presence together is really required.
Mother always implored that he will find a way to convince his husband, she said that a husband who is happy in bed will be happy with his Omega. Aemond I try the first few months, I even enjoy the touches of the alpha in a certain way. But over time that faded and gave way to a relationship close to his mother's with King Viserys. Something boring.
The alpha moans and spills his seed inside his body. Aemond feels nothing and just closes his eyes. Praying as his mother said in one of the letters, but that did not work, Aemond many years ago stopped believing in the gods after he lost his eye and no one listened to his prayer to return it. But still he makes the effort, maybe this time the gods are listening.
Perhaps this is a way of rewarding, allowing him to have the heir he needs.
But you can't entrust the whole task to the gods.
Aemond crawls on the mattress to the end of the bed and tucks his legs up as the maesters have suggested to help conceive. He again is reduced and upset by the shameful position in which he finds himself.
It's unfair, his brother Aegon already had two children after three years of marriage, their pregnancies were easy, even Aegon pointed out that the last of his children was not planned, but it just happened.
For Aemond things didn't just happen, he had to fight for them. Not even when it was something as easy as having an heir.
Alpha lets out a sigh, also tired of the situation.
— We will have visitors, make sure that everything is in order within a fortnight — announces his husband, while he keeps his flaccid member inside his pants. — Food, rooms, you should not neglect any detail. I don't want our guests to speak ill of our negligent hospitality.
Aemond nods with a hum.
- Who are we receiving? he asks, as he stares at his toes, unable to find anything more entertaining to do while he's in his position.
"To Prince Lucerys Velaryon," his husband says, moving to his position on the bed and running a hand through his hair. Aemond allows himself to enjoy the gesture, it is the only one he has received for months. — He is your nephew, I trust you know what he likes. And so we can please. The Marina snake is getting sicker, your nephew will soon be the heir of Driftmark and it will be good to have a friendly relationship with him.
His husband lightly touches the scar on his face and walks away after giving him a soft but cold kiss on the cheek.
Aemond closes his eyes again and tries to control his breathing.
He has no idea what his nephew might like, they were never close beyond the cordiality they owed to each other as a family, the last time they saw each other Aemond did not pay attention to the alpha, too worried about his own business since it was during their wedding.
Perhaps Aegon could have a better idea of how to please his brother-in-law, so he would write a letter to his brother later asking for his help.
.
It is exactly a fortnight later when the Velaryon ship appears on the horizon, its standards fluttering in the wind and the sails of their ships announcing who they are. But that is not what catches his attention, but the roar that breaks the silence that has settled in the entourage waiting for the prince.
He hears Vhagar roar in the distance as well, possibly shocked to hear another dragon after so long. The dragon and his rider are the first to touch the ground, from the dragon descends his nephew. His dragon is still small compared to Vhagar, but it has grown enough to look imposing just like his rider.
Lucerys is taller than him, his hair is still long and curly, but now there is a beard on his face. That he's supposed to harden his features, but Aemond finds it more likeable.
"Prince," greets his alpha, bowing to his nephew. - It's a pleasure to receive you.
Aemond glances at his nephew and nods in greeting in his direction.
- It's a pleasure to receive you, nephew. I hope your way here was favourable.
"It was," Lucerys responds, giving him a smile. — I have gone ahead of my entourage, but soon they will be here.
— We have prepared the port for your arrival, you should not worry — his alpha points out with a smile.
"I'd like to retire to my chambers to wash up, flying on a dragon for hours doesn't leave a pleasant smell," Lucerys comments, looking at him, perhaps hoping he'll agree with him. Aemond is, but he just smiles back at his niece and says nothing.
— My husband, your uncle Aemond has prepared a special meal for you, it will be served later.
Lucerys thanks him and they start walking back towards the castle. Aemond looks over his shoulder to see Arrax soaring across the sky, envious of the freedom he possesses, just as Vhagar must.
In the evening when Lucerys' party has arrived, the meal I prepare with the help of Aegon's advice is served.
People enjoy eating and drinking, so Aemond relaxes in his position and allows himself a few bites of the piece of pork and some sweet Lys wine.
"Prince, I notice you haven't had a bite," says his husband. Aemond tenses in his place and turns his attention to his nephew's plate, who indeed hasn't eaten any of his plate. His husband's eyes glance at him briefly before turning his attention to his nephew.
"No problem, it's an appetizing-looking dinner, but I'm allergic to almonds," Lucerys says, the smile never leaving his lips as he speaks, but there's a sharp edge to his words.
Aemond decides that he will kill his brother as soon as he sees him, place his head on a pike, and leave it for the whole summer to rot.
"I had no idea," his husband snaps his fingers at one of the servants, urging him to move the plate away. — It has been a mistake, I apologize for his majesty. They will prepare a different dish for you.
"I'd rather not," Lucerys says with a shrug. - I'm fine.
The alpha's eyes stare at him for a few seconds and Aemond shrinks in place and swallows trying to get the lump in his throat to undo.
He has ruined it, he cannot be a good Omega, not giving birth to children for his alpha, nor to take care of such a simple household chore as serving his husband's guests.
"It's lucky I brought my own wine, I wouldn't want to risk it," Lucerys jokes, but he knows that behind that is an explicit accusation.
His husband picks it up too because he's laughing at his nephew's joke, but there's not a trace of amusement in his eyes.
— I must have confused some ingredients for your food, nephew. It was my mistake, I apologize - he says looking at Lucerys, the alpha caressed the edge of his glass and nodded with a smile.
— Aemond, you should go to bed, it's late — indicates his alpha before drinking from his glass of wine.
Lucerys raises an eyebrow at him. But Aemond ignores him and gets up from the table.
"Good night," he says goodbye before walking back to his room.
Your alpha will be furious because of the huge mistake you have made, it can be considered an attempt on the life of the Driftmark heir. He prays that the alpha deems his apology appropriate and doesn't lose his temper.
.
Lucerys drinks the glass of wine that one of the servants pours for her, discreetly sniffing the liquid before drinking it.
He expected to find a different welcome when his grandfather Corlys invited him to meet the old man to reaffirm "their relationship", Lucerys last saw him at his uncle's wedding.
They were an unusual couple to see, his uncle was young and attractive, he smelled like fertile Omega, while the alpha was dwarf, bad-tempered and like his grandfather Viserys, the man smelled like withered alpha.
At that moment he laughed at the fate of the poor man for whom Aemond would surely make his life miserable without a doubt. So he was surprised to find his uncle reduced to being a submissive Omega who complied with everything his alpha ordered.
He was far from the Omega who fought at any provocation. The same one that hit Jace despite the fact that his sister reeked of angry alpha, trying to get on top of him to break the Omega.
He drank a little more of his glass and raised an eyebrow to see that the alpha was drinking as if it were water.
The night ruefully dragged on and Lucerys found it truly boring to sit next to the man, while he shamelessly flirted with any of the omegas in his employ.
The alpha leaned in beside him, nearly tripping from the awkwardness of the alcohol.
— I know that their relationship is not good since you took out his eye, but he has crossed the limits, I assure you, I will hold him responsible for what he did — the man points out between belches. Lucerys acknowledges that anything he says in defense of his uncle will fall on deaf ears since the alpha is drowning in alcohol. "He's so clumsy most of the time, he hasn't even produced an heir yet, he doesn't know how to serve my home and brings misfortune."
Lucerys looks at the alpha with something close to disgust. And he squeezes his hands on the wood of the table. The alpha so intoxicated with the dark liquid does not notice the change in his scent.
— I am only giving him this moon, if he is not pregnant, I will ask faith to annul our marriage for being an inadequate Omega.
Lucerys is tempting to point out that perhaps Aemond isn't the problem, the man has been married twice before joining his uncle and neither woman has ever gotten pregnant.
But what point would there be in trying to reason with such an alpha? Perhaps breaking off the marriage would be a relief for Aemond.
"The link with the royal house of Westeros is good," he says lightly, "but it's not worth it if I don't get the inheritance I need to keep my own house afloat." I thought Aemond would at least give me a son, I don't even like omega men. But omega women did not give me an heir either and I decided to try him. It hasn't even been two years and I'm already bored with him.
Lucerys licks his lips and ignores the man in favor of pretending she's more interested in seeing the people dancing in the hall.
.
Aemond is done supervising that the servants arrange things the way he knows his husband likes them, he is meticulous especially now that he has put all his precious items out for display, a gesture of forward-looking smugness he inherited from Driftmark. He wants to show that he also has power, his house may be less relevant in Westeros, but money is not an issue. Or so he tries to demonstrate before such an exhibition.
The maids are around when Aemond feels someone grab his arm, looks back to see who's holding it, and finds Lucerys.
"Nephew" greeted with a courtesy gesture.
"Uncle," the alpha returns the greeting. We need to talk, in private.
Aemond looks around discreetly gesturing at the servants, his lips pursed in hope that the gesture will be perceived by the alpha.
His lord husband will not allow it since he has asked for a servant to be close, the alpha is not happy after Aemond tried to make an attempt on the life of his powerful nephew, he did not believe the version that it was an accident.
Lucerys seems to understand his gesture because he starts speaking in High Valyrian.
"Your husband is going to reject you in a fortnight," he announces with his pronounced accent. Aemond pulls his arm away from him and looks at him almost pale.
This was what his mother talked about when he warned about the consequences that he would have if he was not a good Omega for his alpha. It would be being rejected by society and would be marked as a damaged product. No alpha will want it. Mother won't either because it meant that he was talking about his bad upbringing the fact that he won't raise a proper child.
— Did you ask him because of yesterday's accident? - He asks naively looking for the look of his nephew. Alpha said that he would try it on the next moon, how could he change his mind so soon. — It was all about Aegon's stupid joke, I shouldn't have asked him for advice about your preferences.
— I didn't do it — the alpha rushes to answer, offended by his accusation — he drank too much and his tongue loosened.
Aemond feels dizzy, which he's supposed to. Should he write to his mother to ask what to do next?
It was easy for alphas to get back together with someone after they rejected their omegas, but for omegas it was impossible, no high status alpha wanted an omega who had already been with another alpha and was declared unsuitable.
— It will not affect anything for you, you are Aemond Targaryen son of King Viserys. You will find a new suitor, I know the problem is not with you. It is your husband who has been with three fertile omegas and has failed to mate with any of them.
Aemond wants to believe his nephew's words, but unfortunately it doesn't work that way.
— Nobody cares about that, if he declares me inadequate, no one else will take me, I am mutilated, used and, as far as my alpha is concerned, useless. Nobody will want me. My mother will lose her mind when she finds out.
"Aemond," Lucerys intervenes, holding his hand in an attempt to appease him.
He denies the proximity of the alpha, why did it have to be so difficult? He put everything on his part to make this work, he followed his mother's orders and behaved obligingly with his alpha, attending to each of his requests, even though they were against his own beliefs. He prioritized it over any other wish he had and yet the alpha didn't appreciate his effort.
— I tried — he says in a whisper, he feels that there is a pain in his chest. Again, it's not enough — I swear, but it's impossible to conceive a child — he confides to his niece in a low voice.
He wants to go back to the room and cry until he gets rid of the desolate feeling in his chest, he doesn't care about the alpha, he cares about the consequences it will have for him, for his mother. His mother's reaction will be the worst.
He rubs both hands together nervously and is about to turn around to go back to his room and think better of what he's supposed to do. Lucerys stops him.
"I will, I'll give you the baby you need," he offers.
Aemond frowns at his nephew. Shocked by the words and expecting him to laugh at him to his face for thinking they actually would.
- Would you do it? — he inquires skeptically after not receiving any mockery. His eye is critical as he watches his nephew.
—Your husband is so stupid as not to realize that he is the infertile one. If you have a baby he won't have any suspicions.
He sees the honesty in the words of the future lord of Driftmark, then no matter how many gods he asks the favor. He will never get pregnant because his husband is the one with the problem, not him.
It feels like a relief to know for the first time that you are not the one who is damaged.
But there is another matter that makes him stop.
"No, I wouldn't have a…" His eyes wander over to his nephew.
Lucerys smiles at him.
- Bastard?
— It's cruel, suggesting something like that to pass off a baby as another man's child.
— I'm not forcing you to do anything uncle, but isn't it also cruel to leave Omegas to their fate after taking everything that our society considers virtuous?
Aemond opens his mouth to say something, but his husband appears and the conversation quickly turns to how much it cost to repair some murals that Aemond hates.
He ignores his husband and nephew in favor of thinking about Lucerys' offer.
He thinks about the proposal, the implication that it would have the fact that he was related to his nephew in order to get pregnant, he would have a bastard.
It would go against his principles to allow a bastard to plant a bastard inside his womb. He would be being hypocritical against his mother's beliefs and the ideals He instilled in them.
But Aemond had already given in to all his principles for the alpha he was forced to marry, what difference would it make? It would only be once, he would get his child and then he would forget all about it.
— Husband, when you arrived Lucerys told me that he wanted to see his dragon to make sure it was okay — he interrupts the wonderful conversation about the murals. His husband looks at him through narrowed eyes, chiding his rudeness in interrupting.
"I'd like to check on Arrax," Lucerys comments, drawing attention. "I'm sure Prince Aemond can accompany me."
— Splendid — says his lord husband with a pronounced smile, raising both hands calling one of the servants to accompany them. — Vhagar will also be happy to receive visitors.
Aemond observes in the distance how the servant is looking at them, no one here is brave enough to come near where Vhagar rests, his dragon doesn't appreciate the place and neither do the people here, at least he seems to find comfort with Arrax nearby.
He enters the room that his husband gave him as a courtship gift to convince him to accept his proposal. Aemond did it because he really had no choice, his mother was going to marry him off, whether he had a gift or not.
At least Vhagar had a huge place to rest here.
Lucerys entered the enclosure with him and caressed Arrax as he passed, his dragon shook its head in his direction, but did not get up from its position either, Vhagar seemed to be infecting him with his lethargy.
When they are away from the dragons and even more from the door, Aemond goes to a corner where he keeps some supplies for his heat, sometimes he spends his heat in this place when his alpha is far away and he only allows himself to feel the protection of his dragon.
He brings a blanket and spreads it on the ground. He reaches for the belt that goes around his waist and gets rid of it starting to undress. Lucerys also begins to remove his clothes. Aemond is faster, this place is hot, and his clothing has been reduced to three pieces.
"I'm going to introduce myself to you," Aemond announces shyly, kneeling on the floor on the blanket.
Aemond gets into the usual position he does with his husband, hands and knees on the ground, hips raised in front of the floor. Despite the blanket, the place is dirty, of course, and the earth seeps into the skin that is in contact with it, but it remains in place.
He waits, but doesn't feel the alpha approaching, not even sniffing him a bit. Aemond thinks the sight of him has been too much and his niece has backed down from sleeping with him.
He must have imagined it.
— If you don't succeed—even so, he tries, he can feel the blush staining his cheeks— I've learned some techniques that I can implement if you don't succeed…
Lucerys interrupts him.
"You want to conceive your child, that way," Lucerys asks. Aemond notes the way he points out that this will only be Aemond's son, Aemond's and his husband's of course.
"I just want a baby, I don't care how it's created," he says honestly. No one will care about the way your child was created, it only matters that the baby lived to term and entered the world healthy.
He gets up on his knees, still remaining on the ground, but at least there is no longer dirt soaking into his forehead and arms. He refuses to look at the alpha above him and has stopped stripping.
He wonders how his life has changed so much, how he went from enjoying training in his backyard with complete freedom, to depending on what the alphas decide his life will be. To humiliate himself in this way, begging one or the other to take it.
It was never good enough. Not as delicate and pleasant as Aegon or Helaena, softer and more appealing to their alphas. So much like mother. While his face is long, and his features are sharp after losing his eye all this worsened he was impossible to see and the alphas who asked for his future hand when he was still young recoiled at his inability, his body is lean and muscular, far of the roundness that omegas have and that guarantees a healthy child.
This was a stupid idea, he shouldn't have even considered the proposition.
"I should go," he says as he makes the move to get up from the ground.
Lucerys stops him and kneels beside him.
— No, it's fine if you want it that way we can do it in the practical way — says the alpha. Aemond denies, he's tired of begging for an alpha to take him.
In the morning he will start packing his things and write a letter to his mother asking what he should do. Mother will be furious, but he does not doubt that she will receive it, or he trusts that she will.
"Aemond I want you, don't think I don't," Lucerys clarifies, his arms around his. — I don't want to take you like I would take a whore in a brothel. At least not the first time.
He recognizes his nephew, there is a mischievous smile on his lips.
Aemond doesn't even question the fact that he has spoken of a first time as if there were to be more opportunities. Unheard.
"Then why don't you touch me, you weren't even looking at me," he asks, annoyed by his nephew's words.
Lucerys grabs his hand and brings it to his crotch. Aemond recognizes the hardness inside his pants.
"I've been like this since you walked through that door, I thought you wouldn't accept." Lucerys smiles at him and draws him in, their foreheads are together and he can feel the warmth of his breath. But I'm glad you did.
Aemond climbs into the alpha's lap, he is blushing, as he takes his hands to the lace of Lucerys's pants, he carefully undoes it, he realizes that his hands are shaking. Lucerys leaves him, as he watches his hands move.
Stroke the length of the alpha, it is large and there is fluid coming out of its tip, it helps to allow your hands to glide easily.
"Aemond," the alpha says on a groan. The Omega's violet eye gazes up at him, allowing himself to revel in the alpha's moans. He continues to do the same and the alpha's hips move as well as he is thrusting into his hand.
Lucerys leans in and takes his lips, taking him by surprise. Not even his husband kissed him frequently, less with that passion. He allows himself to be convinced by his insistent mouth and corresponds to his kiss with parsimony that contrasts with the ferocity with which Lucerys wants to claim him. His beard is scratching his face, but the sensation of it is unusually pleasant.
"Do you want me to use my mouth?" - ask. Lucerys stops pushing against his hand and pulls him onto his lap.
"Shit, not today. Next time you can do whatever you want with me — Lucerys says while a finger caresses his lip and attracts him again to kiss him, this time the intensity of his kiss corresponds.
Aemond wants to point out that this will be the only time, but his protest dies as Lucerys's fingers begin to caress him.
"Alpha, you are mine," he moans moving his hips against him the alpha's fingers, his hands clinging to Lucerys's shoulders.
- What did you call me? Lucerys stops his fingers and Aemond bites his lip, unable to remember what he said, until something clicks in his head and he swallows. Again he has ruined everything.
— I was wrong I shouldn't have called you that, I didn't want to bother you — he explains embarrassed.
— Aemond, you really have no idea what you're doing to me, you call me alpha and then you apologize as if you had offended me — he says — you don't realize how happy being your alpha would make me.
He shakes his head, allowing himself to fantasize about what his life would be like if his mother hadn't sent him off to his current husband. Perhaps they had discovered his feelings for each other, or perhaps not. He focused on the now, so he pulled Lucerys up to take his lips, and bucked his hips reminding the alpha that he still had his fingers inside him.
Aemond groaned and brought a hand to his own chest, caressing his nipple. Lucerys was touching a point inside him that made him shudder every time he brushed against him. He wanted to hold on to that feeling at all costs.
The only thing he had to hold on to was Lucerys, and he did so as his sweaty body began to brush against his nephew's still clothed body. He pushed the linen shirt over the alpha's head and caressed his chest with his fingertips, enjoying the warmth of his nephew's tan skin.
"Please do it now," he asks while holding the alpha's hard member, the tip is growing and Aemond doesn't want to take the risk and waste the alpha's knot. Especially wasting his seed.
Aemond rises onto the lap as the alpha pulls his fingers out of it, grabs hold of the alpha's member and slides into it with a grunt. Lucerys throws his head back and gasps.
Omega begins to move his hips in circles, reveling in the sensation of being full and dragging his own erection against his nephew's body. Lucerys leans back and lets him do what he wants with his body, seeking his own pleasure, getting himself the son he so desires.
Aemond watches as the alpha takes the fingers he had inside his body to his mouth and instead of finding it dirty, he lets out another moan.
"You're dirty," he accuses, resting his hands on the alpha's chest to help his movements.
Lucerys smiles with his fingers still inside his mouth.
"Next time I'll use my mouth too," he says with a smile.
Aemond shudders and lets out a long moan as he envisions Lucerys between his legs holding his thighs while his beard scrapes them and the alpha clings to taste all of his Omega taint.
Lucerys sits up and hugs his body, his hips moving as well to meet him. Making the place fill with the moans of both.
Aemond clings to Lucerys's back as the alpha pushes into his body, wincing at the feel of the alpha's lips on his neck. There is no binding bite because his husband decided to wait until he was pregnant to mark him. It was a constant shame to be a married Omega who wasn't even marked, just like his mother never received a mark from his father.
Lucerys's teeth drag unsteadily across his skin, the jab of fangs something Aemond longs for. However he backs off, it is impossible to hide a mark.
On the contrary, his mouth joins his nephew's and he licks his fang, pricking his tongue with it, he feels the taste of blood, but it doesn't matter. The alpha growls as he holds him tight, pulling at his hair, forcing his neck to show. He breaks the kiss and his nose sinks into his neck allowing him to catch his scent.
It's rude to do it.
But tonight Aemond has already broken all the oaths he swore to his husband.
"Gods, you smell so good," the alpha says, his tongue licking the sensitive skin of his gland. Aemond's Omega moans content that they praise the smell of him. "I'm going to give you a baby, you'll walk around the castle with your round belly, and the alpha excuse you were forced to marry will think it's hers." But you and I know the truth.
Aemond feels dirty as he recognizes that the words are taking him to the limit, he closes his eyes and his hands burrow into Lucerys's brown curls, drawing him closer to his body, longing for the touch of their fur. Wanting to become one. His hips move instinctively, seeking the release that has always been forbidden. The feeling of being wanted by the alpha, not just wanted but the excitement of an alpha seeking to satisfy him and not just use him for pleasure.
"Alpha," he groans between wails, his legs shaking and a cramp behind his knee making him gasp. "Lucerys, change the position," he asks.
Alpha does. He grabs his thighs and pushes him to the ground, his back bruised with each thrust, but he doesn't care as he holds on to the alpha and lets him take him.
He doesn't know where the alpha learned all this, but he is happy to receive the results of his learning.
"Lucerys," he pleads without really knowing what he's asking for.
He arches his back and all his muscles tense, his legs clinging tightly to Lucerys' hips.
Alpha thrusts four more times before spilling inside her. Aemond feels dirty finding the feeling of the alpha seed inside him so pleasurable. He turns back into a quivering mess as the alpha pulls him to his chest and coos as they both wait for his knot to come down.
Perhaps his prayers were answered after all and the gods sent Lucerys to give him what he needed. Aemond thanked the gods.
.
When the maester announces that he will have a baby, the whole castle is happy, hiis husband's happiness has spread to everyone and the servants especially thank Aemond because their lord is leaving his cruelty aside.
His mother in Landing is also happy to receive the news that he and his husband have been blessed by the gods to conceive. It's a surprise to everyone, even Daeron writes to his from Old Town.
Lucerys also writes to him, but Aemond immediately discards the letter in the fire after reading it, if someone found that letter they would have no doubt about what happened between them. Lucerys also sends him a gift, and this Aemond is allowed to keep it.
The months go by relatively quickly, he has received a visit from his brother Aegon and his husband in that course. his lord husband is excited to receive the heirs of Dragonstone and organizes a great banquet and hunt.
Aegon never accuses him of anything, but there is always an implicit doubt in their conversations. Aemond dismisses them all in favor of speaking as the gods have finally answered one of his prayers.
Mother also visits him when he is about to give birth to his son, pointing out how proud she is of how he maintains his husband's house and how he has brought an heir to the house, praising what a good husband he is and how he treats himself. He rediscovered faith.
He goes into labor one night when a heavy rain hits the castle, all the servants are in chaos because his husband is too. It is dawn until the baby finally finds its way out of his body, he is exhausted and surely destroyed from his private parts, but still by the grace of the gods he feels nothing but peace when the maestre puts his son in his arms.
He ignores everyone and only focuses on his baby, who is moving in his arms and crying letting the world know he is here. Aemond cradles it and kisses his dirty head.
"He has my mother's hair," he says matter-of-factly.
His mother Alicent looks at him for a few moments, she notices. However, with his eyes full of tears, she nods and approaches him and her new grandson.
When his husband walks into the room after visitors are allowed, he holds the baby in his arms as if he's going to break it if he doesn't do it properly. Aemond smiles at him, it's the first time he's seen the man happy.
"He is a worthy heir," the man points to his mother, who nods with a tense smile.
Time passes and Aemond has given three heirs to his husband who feels that they have indeed been blessed. He praises Aemond and pampers his children as if they were the children of a king.
In the kingdoms there is talk of the great friendship that his lord husband shares with his nephew, since it is common for Lucerys Velaryon to visit his friend every chance he gets, even Aegon tells his in a letter that Rhaenyra receives fewer visits from his second heir of those that your lord husband receives. Aemond has learned to wait for the dragon on the horizon, and in time his children too.
His eldest son has lived for eight years, when the only father he has known falls ill, a fever torments him and due to his age the maesters do not give much hope for the alpha. Aemond urges his sons to say goodbye to his father, they all do even his youngest who barely stands on his feet. His lord husband looks pleased when Aemond leaves the room along with his children.
In the morning a servant realizes that he has died during the night and informs him.
Aemond writes a single letter to Lucerys.
-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-
Aegon gets up to break his fast when Jacaerys gives him a serious look.
Aegon cares about his alpha's expression and approaches him, snatching the letter he's been reading. As he reads Lucerys's brusque strokes he smiles.
"I told you," he points out triumphantly as he punches his alpha in the chest. — Those children were your blood nephews too.
"Mum will freak out even more when she finds out Aemond married Lucerys," he laughs, putting a hand to his abdomen after his laughter turns painful.
