Lulu's POV

I smiled as my eyes brimmed with tears, I watched as my best friend looked at her husband with unwavering love. Maxie and Matt's wedding had been today, they were moving to Arizona after the wedding was done. I was happy that my best friend had finally got her happy ending but, I was going to miss her. Things had fallen through with Dante, so I'd moved back into the apartment. When Maxie had told me the news I'd taken up a second job to pay rent, she didn't feel like advertising for a roommate. Lulu's eyes glanced over at Dante, who had Brooklyn Ashton on his arm.

"Stop torturing yourself, Lu." Came from behind her, there was only one person it could be. Lulu spun around, her hazel eyes glancing over Johnny Zacchara.

"I guess we're in the same boat." Lulu spoke, noting how Olivia Falconeri and Sonny Corinthos shamelessly flirted.

"We always are. How are you holding up? I know Max is your best friend." Johnny would worry about himself later.

"Me? I'm fine. I wasn't happy with Dante, maybe there was a time that I was...but that was a long time ago. I'm worried about money, Maxie and I went half in on everything. I'm stressing myself out just thinking about it." Lulu admitted.

"Lovett took off to Australia with Kristina. Did you hear about that?" Johnny took a sip of his drink.

"What? Oh my God, no I didn't know!" Lulu gasped, putting a hand to her mouth in shock.

"Yeah, I woke up one morning and all of his shit was gone." Johnny shakes his head.

"He didn't even say goodbye to you? You two were roommates!" Lulu was in complete shock.

"I don't know what was going through his head but, you could move in with me. I wouldn't charge you anything, I know it's gotta be rough on you. Hell, you're working two jobs." Johnny didn't want to see Lulu struggle.

"That would be great, thank you Johnny. Just...let me know when you're having women over. I don't want anything to be awkward." Lulu slowly smiled at him.

"You know I'd do anything for you but, I'm not going to be doing that. I've slept with enough dimwitted women to last a lifetime. You were the only one that ever meant anything real. I thought I loved Liv but, it ended up being just lust. I know it's been one thing after another with you lately, you deserve a break."Johnny gave her a small smile.

"I know. Meeting you on the side of the road that night is still on my list of my top ten nights. Thank you, Johnny." Lulu kissed his cheek.

Maxie's POV

"I'm going to talk to Johnny, I'll be back." I whispered to Matt.

"You know she'll be okay. Right? Johnny's not going to let anything bad happen to her." Matt knowingly looked at me.

"You know me so well but, he will. I just worry about Lulu sometimes, that's all. Thank you for reassuring me. I am so glad to be your wife, Matt Hunter." I smirked, pressing a kiss to his lips.

"Go talk to Johnny, I'll be here. I love you, Mrs. Hunter." Matt lightly smiled, returning her kiss.

"God, I love when you call me that! I'll be right back!" Maxie kisses his cheek, before making her way over to Johnny.

Johnny's POV

"Hey there, Mrs. Hunter. How does it feel to be married?" I smirked at Maxie as she approached me.

"It feels amazing, I never thought I'd get married. Of course, I've had my wedding planned out since I was like, eight...but, I never thought I'd meet a man worth marrying. You know?" Maxie and Johnny had a complicated history but, she was glad they could be friends.

"I would have been a disappointment. I don't think I'll ever get married but, happiness looks good on you." I chuckled.

"Yes, clearly! We would both be thinking about Lulu the whole time. I want you to take care of my bestie." Maxie looked into Johnny's eyes, knowing he loved Lulu.

"I promise you I won't let anything happen to her. I love Lulu, I'll take care of her. I asked her to move in with me, because I don't want her to struggle." Maxie was surprised at Johnny's admission.

"I was worried about that but, did she say yes? Are you guys friends now?" Maxie smiled, maybe they'd get back together!

"Lulu said yes, I just want her to be happy. You know that I love her but, I think she's moved on. If I can't have her as my girlfriend, I want her as a friend. It's better than not having her in my life at all." Johnny was speaking from the heart.

"Johnny, you don't know that. Lulu could still love you, she'd never kick you out of her life. I'm glad you guys are friends." Maxie knew that Lulu still loved Johnny but, she'd let them figure that out on their own.

"Hey!" Lulu says, coming back from the bathroom.

"I wish I could pack you up in a suitcase and take you with me." Maxie threw her arms around Lulu.

"That might be a little awkward for Matt." Lulu chuckled, hugging her back.

"What am I going to do without you?" Maxie let a few tears fall.

"Maxie, you'll be okay. You can call me until I get sick of you, which is often. I love you, I couldn't have asked for a better best friend. Even though I didn't ask for you." Lulu's grip on Maxie tightened before she pulled back to look at her, wiping the fallen tears away.

"I feel better knowing that Johnny will take care of you, I'm going to call you everyday. I love you, too." Maxie sighed wishing she hadn't cried, because her makeup was a little smudged.

"Go and be with Matt, you deserve it!"
