Damn, Matt had put her in a bind! Lulu had come up here with no plan AT ALL. She didn't even know what she was going to say! Why didn't she ever have a plan? Even if she had, she probably wouldn't have followed it anyway! Lulu maintained a smile as Johnny let her inside, glancing along the wall hoping some words would magically come to her.
"I've still got nothing."Lulu said out loud, covering her mouth in embarrassment.
"Say that again? I didn't hear you." Johnny shut the refrigerator door, bringing two beers into the living room.
"I was talking to myself." Lulu chuckled glad he didn't hear her, accepting the beer he handed her.
"Now Johnny, you know I can't open this. Half of our relationship was you untwisting the cap off my beer." Lulu gives him a pointed look.
"Oh I know." Johnny chuckled easily taking the cap off of her bottle, with a smirk.
"Don't be smug! It's...hard!" Lulu playfully hit his arm.
"I remember I DO have something to ask you. Please please don't tell Maxie and Spinelli that I asked." Lulu remembered how she checked their budget for the wedding, it wasn't even enough for the dresses let alone the venue or decorations.
"What's going on?" Johnny led her to the couch as they both took a seat.
"I need help...money wise. For the wedding. I hate to even ask but, I want Maxie to have the wedding that she wants. I know that she loves Spinelli and Spinelli loves her. It's sweet watching the two of them together, I want everything to be seemingly perfect for them." Lulu explained, wishing that Dante would treat her like Spinelli treated Maxie.
"Of course, money isn't a issue. You know that I've got plenty. Whatever you need I'll make it happen, Maxie and Spinelli are my friends too. It used to be us four against the world. Do you ever think about those days?" Johnny had been missing Lulu for awhile, really ever since they'd broken up. Johnny wasn't going to hide his feelings anymore. It didn't matter that Lulu was with Dante, he treated her like shit anyway.
"Just so you know you've just agreed to do wedding things with me." Lulu smirked not thinking of the words she'd just said, until she saw the amused look on Johnny's face.
"I always wanted to do wedding things with you, Lu." Johnny smiled softly, he knew that it wasn't their wedding but every stolen moment with Lulu was a gift. Johnny didn't intend to waste it.
"Oh, really?" Lulu arches an eyebrow.
"Of course, I always thought about our future together. I was just...a dumbass. It was fucked up how things ended with us, it still doesn't sit right with me." How their relationship ended plagued him to no end, Johnny could kick himself.
"Well, I did too. That's in the past, it's not like you kissed Maxie to be malicious. I understand that you thought you were doing the right thing. You should have told me about Michael and I would have accepted it but, I forgave you and Maxie a long time ago. I could never hate you, even if I wanted to." Lulu cast a glance at Johnny, knowing he still beat himself up over this.
"If I'd been a man and told you, Falconeri wouldn't have stood a chance with you. I'd be honored to do wedding things with you. I'm curious, why isn't Maxie doing these things? I thought she loved weddings." Johnny attempted at a smile.
"Maxie said that she was too overwhelmed and asked me to do everything. I don't mind that much, it gives me something to do other than sitting at home. Things with Dante haven't been great, it's been argument after argument. It's getting a little old, I can feel myself beginning to feel suffocated. It's unreal." Lulu knew that she shouldn't be having this conversation with Johnny but, it just slipped out!
"I couldn't help but overhear your argument at Jake's earlier, I'm sorry you have to deal with that. So, what should we do first?" Johnny wanted to get her mind off of Dante.
"Venue. Maxie picked a few places out but, she wanted me to check them out and decide which would be the best one. I'm actually excited now, we definitely don't see each other like we used to." Lulu gives a small smile, knowing she was treading on dangerous territory.
"No we don't, mainly because I don't want to put you in a bad position with Dante. Though it seems like I'm doing that already." Johnny could see that Dante was insecure, that had to be the reason he was putting everything off on Johnny.
"Everything pisses Dante off. I honestly think that Dante pisses me off more than Logan ever did and that's saying something.
I'm just...this is exhausting." Lulu ran a hand through her hair.
"I can tell, every time I've seen you in the past month you've looked completely exhausted. If Dante is bringing you down this badly, he doesn't deserve you."
