The two friends are sitting in a bar together and talking about Judge Ralls's case when Harvey thanks Mike for the distraction. Mike knows his friend is struggling but he's not touchy freely and he won't start to talk about it himself so he tries.
"Harvey, I know it's not my business and you probably don't wanna talk about it but… what happened with Paula?"
Harvey hesitates for a few seconds, not sure if he should tell Mike or not but decides to do so.
"Donna kissed me" he lets out and takes a sip from his scotch
"what?" Mike looks kinda shocked at him not expecting what he just heard.
"It was after Malik was over, and out of the clear blue sky, Donna kissed me.
Look, it's a long story, but it led me to realize that Paula's not the one" he says
"because Donna is?" Mike asks directly
Harvey doesn't answer for a few seconds, he then takes a deep breath "because Donna is" he admits in a soft voice.
Mike is even more surprised to that than about Donna kissing Harvey.
"Then what the hell are you doing here? Why aren't you with her?"
"Because… she doesn't feel the same" he says sadly.
"Harvey she kissed you, of course she feels the same"
"'That's not what she said the other day"
"of course not… you yelled at her, you were mad and you were about to fire her. What was she supposed to say?"
"The truth"
"She did that by kissing you and when you didn't react how she'd would've wanted you to do she took it back to save your friendship" Mike says softly
"You don't know that"
"then tell her and find out yourself" Mike tries to convince him
" I don't wanna lose her. Yesterday… when I found her letter of resignation on my desk I- I made my way at hers. I forgot everything around me and the only thought I had was to stop her and tell her the kiss meant everything to me. She means everything to me" He pauses
"but?"
"On mid-way Paula called and I remembered I was in a relationship… So I turned and went at Paula's and broke up with her."
"What about Donna?" Mike asks in a low voice
"After that I was thinking clearly again and then I was scared. I just went there, ripped the letter of resignation in front of her and left again."
There is silence for a little while till Harvey starts speaking again.
"I love her, Mike" he says sadly "but I realized it too late"
"I think she's the one you should tell that" he says softly looking at his friend
"what if she rejects me" he asks hurting
"I'm pretty sure she won't.
Look, if you tell her and she doesn't feel the same then you'll know and you can move on but if you don't, one day you'll regret it 'cause you'd never know what if you would've told her"
Harvey nods and takes another sip scotch. He thinks for a few seconds "I have to go"
He says and rushes out of the bar.

"Harvey, what are you doing here?"
He has to force himself not to kiss her right away.
"I came here to tell you what I wanted to do the other night I was here and what I should've done it years ago"
She keeps looking at him, a little scared now.
"When I read your letter… no" he corrects "when you kissed me I realized that you're the one I want. I said I was mad at you for doing that to me even though I was in a relationship, but the truth is… I was mad at myself that I had to admited to myself that I enjoyed the kiss and I didn't want it to end and that it would make me the man I never wanted to be…. a cheater but I still denied it… till I read your letter. That was when I knew I can't go on like this and I broke up with her."
"I know you said the kiss didn't mean anything to you but I want you to know that it meant everything to me… I love you, Donna and I wanna be with you, that's what I always wanted. I was just to blind to see it.
She can't hold back the tears anymore but can't get a word out
"I'm sorry I did-"
"could you please shut up and do what you're here to do" she says with a crying voice. He then closes their distance and they let their feelings run free… after over a decade. They do what they wanted to do since they met each other and especially since the other time"
… … …
"I can't believe you're here" she whispers
He puts her hair baehind her ear and kisses her . "and now?" he smiles
"No, no I think you have to do it again" she says smiling and they kiss again
"Yeah, I think I'm starting to realize it but I'll need a lot more of those to convince me completely"
"You'll get them" he promises "a whole life. As often as you want"
They keep looking at each other
"what is it?" she asks
"Nothing… I just wish I would've come to my senses sooner" he says and there's a bit sadness in his voice
"Everything happens how it's supposed to be. We're here now that's what counts" she strokes his cheek.
"I love you, Donna" he says lovley "I always have and I always will. You're the one and I realized that I don't wanna waste a second without you anymore."
"The one" she says and her eyes fill with tears again "I wanted to hear that for so long" she admits
"I'll tell you that everyday" he says and kisses her "till you're tired of it" he smiles
"I'll never get tired of it"
"Donna… you are the one and I love you"
"I love you, too" she smiles and they keep kissing each other.
