(He walks in, finds her sitting alone in one of the chairs)
D - Apprentice, I have a job for you.
M - So, you chose.
D - What? What are you talking about?
M - You chose Jaesa.
D - Ah, that. You must have known that I would choose the one that gives me no restrictions as a prerequisite.
M - The only restriction you might say I gave you was that I be treated with respect. I never demanded anything from you.
D - Well, that's one too many.
M - Fine. I'm leaving soon. I can do this one last thing for you, but I will be gone after that.
D - I don't agree to this.
M - I don't care.
D - You pledged yourself to me, apprentice.
M - With all due respect my Lord, my apprenticeship is over.
D - I will be the judge of that.
M - You said it yourself, when the time comes I will know. I am Sith, and I want to find my place in the Empire. My place is not next to you.
D - This is not how this works. The apprentice doesn't decide when she stops being one.
(She gets up from the chair, walks towards him, stops while being rather close to him, puts her hands to her sides)
M - I think you now have two options. Duel me and probably kill me, or let me go. If you choose the first you will lose me forever. If you choose the second I can be a valued ally in the future. I still have the utmost respect for you. Let me go and I swear I will help any way I can to advance your goals.
D - I do not appreciate ultimatums!
(She drops the hands from her sides, walks a bit back and forth as she says it)
M - It's not an ultimatum! I want you! By the stars, I love you! I tried to deny my senses, tried to remain at your side given your relationship, but I can't. Allow me to leave and reclaim my dignity and my life. If you ever felt anything for me, please, allow me this.
(They look at each other for a long time)
D - I don't want you to leave.
M - Please, don't torture me. Even being this close to you is painful.
(He walks close to her, their bodies touch, they look in each other's face)
D - We must discard that which we have no use of.
(Tears are gathering in her eyes)
M - So this is the end then?
(He draws his lightsaber, does not ignite it, puts the ignition point to her stomach)
D - Yes. Goodbye Mira.
(Tears are now dropping from her eyes)
M - Goodbye, my love.
(He hesitates to ignite it, she puts her arms around him, embraces him softly)
D - No. I may have some use of you yet.
(She looks at him startled)
(He breaks free from her embrace, seethes his lightsaber)
D - You may go after this mission.
(Tears drop from her face, she seems distraught)
M - Yes, master.
(She bows her head slightly)
D - Pierce will brief you. Contact me when it's done.
M - Thank you, master.
(She bows her head slightly)
D - You are dismissed.
(She walks out of the room in a slower pace than usual)
(He remains at the same spot for a long time, looking at the floor, seeming sad)
