Theron - Commander, there is a delegation here to see you from Dromund Kaas.
D - Was that scheduled?
T - No, they announced today that they will be coming.
D - That's unacceptable. I will have to set things straight with Acina.
T - Lana said it wasn't a delegation from Acina, but from Darth Vowrawn.
D - Really? I thought he had left the Empire.
T - Apparently he is back. Acina is trying to rally old Council members to rebuild, at least from what Lana told me.
D - Alright, let's see what they want.
Lana - Commander, the delegation from Dromund Kaas just arrived. Where should you meet?
D - To the throne room. Escort them in, I will be there shortly
(After a while, he enters his throne room)
(There is only one person standing in the middle of the room, her back to his)
D - So, what is the emergency? I assume it is an emergency in order to give me such short notice of your arrival.
(The figure turns to face him, bows her head)
M - My Lord Wrath, it's been a long time.
D - Mira? Is that you?
M - Yes my Lord.
(She smiles)
(He walks closer to her, he stops really close to her and looks at her for a long time. She has straight long raven black hair, yellow eyes, the hallmark of the Sith, her attire is mostly black and red, embellished with gold details, its form fitting yet wears a coat that reaches all the way to the ground. He finds her stunning)
D - The dark side suits you. You are even more beautiful than I remember.
(She makes a deep bow)
M - Thank you my Lord. You are looking ravishing.
(He is wearing all black, form fitting clothes, his two lightsabers on each side. The only heavy armour on him are his boots)
D - Ravishing? I don't remember you using such pompous epithets.
M - I guess being pompous is one more influence the Dark side had on me.
(He smiles, she smiles reacting to him)
D - The delegation was to be from Darth Vowrawn?
M - He is my new master. It was the logical thing to do after Corelia.
D - Yes. And I'm sure he was very happy about it.
M - He had lost all his apprentices during Corelia, so he was searching for a new one, and I had just lost my master.
D - You didn't exactly lose me. You left me.
M - I think it was more that you let me go.
D - Yes, well, the past is in the past.
M - Not for me.
D - What do you mean? I don't remember a grudge between us.
M - No grudge, it's just, I never got over you.
(He is taken by surprise)
D - You came all this way to tell me this?
M - Yes. I have been searching for you ever since you disappeared. I never stopped following your career. After Zakuul enslaved the Empire, Darth Vowrawn retreated to the outer rim. I went with him. As soon as we returned and I learned about you, I had to come see you.
D - Vowrawn knows you are here?
M - I left him little choice in the matter.
D - I imagine you are a Lord now?
M - Since we returned Acina was willing to give my master anything he wanted. But, I believe I earned the right to the title.
D - You seem different, more regal.
M - More lordly?
(They both laugh)
M - My Lord, can we possibly have some privacy? It has been a long time.
D - Will you try to assassinate me?
M - No.
(They look at each other for some time)
D - How about a tour around the base?
M - That would be lovely.
D - All right. Follow me.
M - This time I will.
(He looks at her questioningly)
M - The last time you asked me to follow you, I refused.
D - I remember.
(He turns to walk away, she follows him)
(After some catching up smalltalk during the tour, they end up outside at the railway to his ship)
M - It's so beautiful here!
(She looks around, spots the ship)
M - The Fury! Oh, my!
D - Brings back old memories doesn't it?
M - Yes, it does.
(They look at each other, rather intensely)
D - So, you will be a Darth soon? Have you decided on a new name?
(She walks close to him, their bodies almost touch)
M - I don't want to talk about that. I came here with a very specific demand.
D - Go on.
M - One night together.
D - What do you mean?
M - You know very well what I mean, don't play coy with me.
D - Mira, this is very… unexpected. I have a partner.
M - Yes, the famous Lana Beniko. You two are the buzz of the Empire these days.
D - Ok, so, you can understand…
(She cuts him off)
M - I know you want me, I can see the way you look at me. Not just now, even back then. You always look at me like a predator looks at his prey.
(He moves a bit away from her)
D - That is in your mind only.
M - I admit, we never talked about it openly. Until now. You can drop the act now.
D - I don't appreciate your tone.
M - Explain this to me. Your stance, the way you look at me, make it obvious that you want me. On the other hand, you never expressed that, apart only from one time. And yet, soon after that you proceeded to ignore me, but you continue, even now, to look at me like you want to devour me. Why?
D - Mira, you need to drop this. Now.
M - I will not. It has troubled me for years, I need to know.
(He turns his back to her, he is looking at the horizon)
M - I spent countless sleepless nights, thinking about you, fantasising about all the things you would do to me. You are quite the lover in my head.
(She smirks)
M - You are here, in front of me now. I will not leave until I know what about me is so appalling to you.
(She moves back, she is now leaning on the railing, he turns to look at her, the air sweeps her hair, tossing some lightly on her face. The way her face is partly covered from the hair, her yellow eyes gleam underneath, it makes her look almost ethereal. He can't help but notice it)
D - You are the opposite of appalling. Everything about you attracts me. The way you look and the way you think. That is the problem.
M - The problem is that you like me too much?
D - I can't be with you. You will be too valuable to me. That will be a disadvantage. I need to be able to shed free from any constraint. Otherwise I will never be truly free.
M - You don't love Lana?
D - It's not the same. She and I are separate people. We disagree all the time, we make individual decisions. We have been away from each other many times and it wasn't that difficult. I miss her, and am happy when I see her, but I can be without her.
M - You fear you would be obsessed with me?
D - I know I would be. Obsession is debilitating.
M - That's probably the shittiest way to let someone down.
(He laughs)
D - You wanted to know. Now you do.
M - I don't want you to fear me. That's actually the exact opposite from what I want.
(They look at each other in silence)
M - Damn you! What am I supposed to do now?
D - Go home.
(She turns to look at the horizon)
M - I feel lust, longing, loss, all centred around you. I have used these feelings to draw my power, as you taught me. I have become quite powerful in the process. I knew that if I came here there was a chance these feelings would dissipate. I knew I might not be able to draw on them anymore, and yet, I didn't care. That's how I knew these feelings were real, not embellished in any way. I was willing to sacrifice everything, even my life, to satiate my longing for you. Now, I don't know what to feel, except from extreme disappointment.
D - I'm sorry. I never…
(She cuts him off)
M - Stop this. You want me to leave, I will leave.
(They look at each other for a long time)
M - I will be at these coordinates for the near future. If in some days you change your mind, I will be there. If more time passes you won't be able to find me anymore.
(She takes out her datapad, presses some keys, hides it again)
M - Goodbye.
D - Goodbye Mira.
(She walks away, he watches her as she does, her scent reaches him again, it is intoxicating)
