This is a reimagining of the fairytale Beauty and the Beast, with those characters and references.
Chapter 7
"The End"
...And they lived happily ever after.
"Is she out?" Trina asked quietly.
"Like a light. What about him?" Spencer asked, as he placed a kiss on their daughter's head.
"Oh, he didn't make it past the first few minutes tonight," Trina replied, as she smoothed their son's hair down, as he slept peacefully in her arms.
"My God, we made two beautiful babies," Spencer said as his eyes moved proudly from his daughter, Courtney, back to his son, who of course had inherited the name Spencer Stefan Niklosovich Cassadine but was called, Steven.
"That sir, we absolutely did. Now, let's get them in their beds," Trina said quietly, as she got up with their baby boy cradled in her arms.
Spencer followed with their daughter. This nightly ritual of reading a bedtime story and putting the children to bed was bar none the best part of Spencer and Trina's day.
As Spencer and Trina held each other as they watched their children sleep, he placed a gentle kiss on his wife's cheek.
"You know what, baby? Ours has been a kind of fairy tale life hasn't it? asked Spencer.
Trina looked up at her husband, smiled, and replied, "Yes, it really has."
And they, too, lived happily ever after.
