In a watermelon patch in Bedrock, Barney Rubble was dressed as a farmer calling himself Farmer Brownstone.
"Heh-heh, watch me trick Fred out of his Fruity Pebbles," he said to the viewers.
Fred Flinstone was sitting in the watermelon patch with his Fruity Pebbles. He was just about to take a spoonful from his bowl until Barney in his farmer disguise caught his eye.
"Farmer Brownstone!" Fred exclaimed.
"Welcome to my watermelon patch!" Barney said. "Why don't you go and pick the ripest watermelon while I keep an eye on your Fruity Pebbles?"
"Well," Fred said, "okay." He handed his cereal to Barney, then went to look for the ripest watermelon in the world.
While Fred was looking, Barney took a spoonful of Fruity Pebbles and said, "Mmm! Lemon, lime, grape, cherry, orange, and berry blue flavors!" A lemon, a lime, grapes, cherries, an orange, and blueberries appeared over his head.
"Hey," Fred called out, "I found the ripest melon! Come and see it!"
Still with Fred's cereal in his hand, Barney went to see the melon Fred found, but he didn't watch where he was going. He tripped over a watermelon vine, and his farmer's hat fell off his head! He looked up at Fred with a sheepish grin on his face.
Fred looked down, and realized he'd been tricked! He dropped his melon and let out an angry shout. "Barney, my Pebbles!"
"Heh-heh, they're as sweet as the melons," Barney said as Fred began to chase him.
A stone table was seen with a Fruity Pebbles box, a bowl full of Fruity Pebbles, a spoon, buttered toast, grapes, and a glass of milk on it. Fred's voiceover said, "Post Fruity Pebbles cereal, part of this complete breakfast."
