It's a nice sunny day in the east blue. The sun is shining. The birds are singing. Everything is going peacefully.
On a island called dawn island. There lives a young boy. Who'll change the world, for the better.
And this boy's name...
Is monkey D Luffy.
Luffy is a 7 year old boy who is out in the forest hunting for something to sell at the market in town.
As he is out hunting. He soon finds a small chest on the ground. He opens the chest only to find a strange looking fruit and a book inside.
Confused about the fruit, Luffy decides to first read the book, to see if it says anything about the strange fruit.
To his surprise it does. The said fruit is called a devil fruit. And this devil fruit named the rumble rumble fruit. Has the power to create, control and turn into Lightning.
After learning all there is said in the book. Luffy decided to eat it. Even if that means losing the ability to swim forever.
Just like that Luffy eats the nasty thing.
After that Luffy's eyes started to spark with electricity.
Just like that a giant boar came out of nowhere and was running at Luffy with full force.
Luffy see's this and try's to aim for the boar's head.
The boar keeps on charging at Luffy until...
zap*!
The bolt of Lightning that came out of Luffy's finger has hit the giant boar right in the forehead, killing it in seconds.
Luffy smiled at that.
This is going to fun said Luffy to himself.
As Luffy drags the giant dead boar like a sack of potatoes. He thinks to himself as he walks back to the town he grew up in.
[in town]
As Luffy shows off his devil fruit powers. He spots his friends the red haired pirates heading his way.
So ya got devil fruit powers huh Luffy? Asked Shanks.
Yep. And I'm going to use them to form my own pirate crew said Luffy with a smile.
Still wanting to be a pirate I see. Well as long as you still have a good heart, then I don't mind said Shanks.
Great sisisi laughed Luffy happily.
Keep in mind Luffy. Not all pirates are kind hearted like us. So what will you do if you meet one? Asked Shanks.
Easy, I beat the crap out of them said Luffy.
And if you have no choice but to take their lives? Asked Shanks.
That's for me to decide Shanks. As long I have control of my powers. I don't always have to kill them. So therefore I decide when to raise the red flag of death, ok? Asked Luffy with a serious tone.
Seems fair. After all. There are times even we have to decide when to raise it or not said Shanks.
I'm going to be a great pirate someday. Form a strong crew, see the world as it is. And find the one piece. Then I'll be king of the pirates said Luffy with a great big smile.
Is that so?... well then. Your going to be needing this then said Shanks as he gives Luffy, his straw hat.
Treasure this straw hat. And when we meet again. Give it back to me. When you become a great pirate king said Shanks.
I will said Luffy with a smile.
After that Luffy trained with some Mountain bandits his grandfather monkey D Garp sent him to.
After meeting Ace and Sabo, the three of them become brothers.
After a crew of pirates called the blue jam pirates came to kidnap Sabo, ordered by Sabo's father the king of Goa. The three brothers were fighting for Sabo's freedom.
After one of the pirates shot Ace in the shoulder. That's when it happened.
Luffy lost control of his powers...
And just like that Luffy summoned a pack of Tigers made out of Lightning.
And just like that all the blue jam pirates were attacked. One... by one.
It was a massacre.
After that Luffy passed out.
The next day. Sabo left...
He feared his family will not stop until they have him back.
He left the island on a small boat. Unknown to him, is that a world noble was there.
When the world noble saw him...
He shot at the boat. Making it explode.
All Luffy could think of... was revenge on the world noble.
But he knew better. Because Sabo wants Luffy to not let the darkness inside him take control.
As time passed Luffy soon learned the three forms of haki.
After Ace turned 17. He left dawn island to become a pirate.
As 14 year old Luffy said his goodbyes. He promised that someday they will see each other again.
As time passed Luffy got stronger and stronger.
After he turned 17 himself. It was time to leave.
[at the docks]
Luffy is wearing a red sleeveless vest. A pair of black pants. Some sandals. And his treasured straw hat Shanks gave him all those years ago.
Looks like today is the day said Luffy to himself.
Come forth!, cloud ship! Yelled Luffy to the sky.
Just like that a cloud shaped like a caravan ship came down from the sky.
The cloud ship came and landed next to the docks where Luffy is.
Just like that Luffy stepped onboard his cloud ship.
Sisisi. Looks like it's time to head out said Luffy.
Just like that Luffy flu onboard his cloud ship.
As he does that he looks down at the open ocean.
As he looks into the ocean he remembers that time he face the sea king that was threatening the people of his home island.
He managed to kill it easily.
Just like that Luffy is off to see the world.
What could go wrong?.
