Addison walked into the x-ray room and faced Derek who was analyzing the CT scan.
"I need you to find a way to save him, Addison said with teary eyes, Derek looked at her.
"Addison..."
"You can't let him die, Derek, I always worshiped you in your surgeries, I always saw you as a god, so please be a god now, I wouldn't have brought my brother here if I trusted someone else to do the surgery, so I need you to do it and save him," She said in tears, Derek hugged her listening to her sobs.
"I'll do my best," he said, stroking her hair.
"So," Addison pulled away wiping her eyes and Derek smiled.
"So?"
"Naomi and Archer," Derek said analyzing "Big news."
"They get along well, really well," she said, trying to distract his mind. "Mark told me about you and Meredith Grey."
"It's a complicated story," he said with his hands in his lab coat pocket.
"Complicated why?"
"Because she said she has someone, but no one has ever heard of that someone or seen him, I think she's making an excuse to say that she's ok with our breakup and that it's ok for me to be with Rose."
"Do you really think she would do that?"
"I happen to know. Meredith, she's making up this story so she doesn't stay down," Derek said analyzing the CT scan.
Meredith walked down the hall, distracted by Archie's CT scan, and bumped into someone, looked up.
"Sorry, I didn't see you."
"It's alright," Naomi smiled "I'm looking for Addison, did you happen to see her? We had arranged to have coffee, but she went to talk to Derek and we ended up missing each other."
"No, I didn't see him, but I'm going to talk to Doctor Shepherd right now, if you want, you can accompany me."
"Of course," Naomi said smiling, Meredith smiled and went down the hall being accompanied by Naomi "Are you dating Derek?"
"No, I don't date him anymore, who's with him is one of the nurses," she said, attentive to the tomography.
"How long did you date him for?"
"Not that long and now my interest in Doctor Shephard is exclusively professional, I already have someone," Meredith said turning the corridor and entering the room, Derek and Addison looked at them.
Meredith and Addison looked back at each other and the blonde looked away.
"Doctor Shepherd, I need you to see this," she said approaching with the tablet.
Derek and Addison stared at the image. "I don't think you noticed this before, because the image is far away, but I was analyzing the tomography and decided to get closer," Meredith enlarged the image "There is a space between the larvae, which means that-"
"We can do the surgery without popping them," Derek cut her off, Addison glared at him.
"Are you sure?"
"Yes," Derek said smiling and looked at Meredith "Doctor Grey, prepare Archer and ask for an operating room, we will enter in a few minutes," Meredith said and left the room.
Addison rested her hand on the glass as she stared at Derek across from her sister.
"Come on Derek, say it, say it," she whispered tightly.
"Alright everybody, it's a beautiful day to save lives," Derek said after a long sigh.
Addison smirked and felt a hand on her shoulder, looked over to see Mark.
"Calm down, Addison."
"A little difficult, don't you think," She said facing her brother on the operating table.
"I'm sure everything will work out," He said hugging her, Addison took a deep breath watching Derek remove the first larva.
Meredith sometimes looked at the redhead, felt her heart tighten when she saw the worried and downcast face, but Addison didn't even want to look at her properly.
"It's her isn't it?" Naomi asked in a whisper as Addison continued to stare at the OR through the glass.
"Who's her?"
"Meredith, she's the one," Addison exhaled. "I noticed the way you look at each other, Addison, she seems to miss you."
"She is my last concern at the moment, Naomi, what matters to me now is Archer," Addison said coldly. "No one but him."
"Derek is still crazy about her, with your indifference, maybe she'll come back to him." Addison clenched her fist, but said nothing.
"Damn it," Derek said watching the larva burst. "I need to catch it before it reaches some point and it's inevitable to reach it," Silence reigned in the room for minutes that seemed like hours to Addison. "I got it," he said slowly pulling the larva.
As soon as he handed it to Meredith, he looked at Addison and said, the redhead took a deep breath smiling.
Addison faced her brother who was sleeping peacefully and sighed in relief, listened to the cell phone.
Meredith : Meet me in the on-call room... Please.
"It's her, isn't it?" Naomi asked looking at her, Addison nodded.
"Why don't you go there? Talk it over, make up, you like her Addie, I've seen you pretend you were fine these last few days, she's missing you."
"Okay, I'll go find her," Addison said, putting her cell phone in her blazer pocket and tucking her hair behind her ear.
"I want to meet her officially," Naomi said smiling.
"Hmm," Addison stated without making any expression and left the room.
"Dr. Montgomery, I heard about your brother, I hope he's okay."
"He is, thank you O'Malley," She said smiling in the corner and walked away.
"Addison," Mark called, approaching and she stopped, faced him. "Would you like some coffee? To chat a little?"
"Can it be some other time, Mark?" She scratched her forehead. "I'm going to settle a matter."
"Of course, no problem," He said staring at her. "Are you okay?"
"Yes, I'm just tired, we'll talk later."
"Alright," he said seeing her walk away.
Addison stopped in front of the door of the on-call room and took a deep breath, she turned the doorknob and faced the blonde who stopped pacing.
Silence reigned in a glaring way, their gazes showed longing, Addison leaned against the closed door but did not speak up, Meredith took a deep breath as she searched for words to say everything she needed, she had to clarify.
That she wanted to kiss her, to show that neither Derek nor anyone else would change what she felt, but she just managed to remain silent, Addison was breathing heavily, hers wasn't much different, those were the only sounds there.
Ending that silence, making their hearts even faster, Meredith pressed one hand in the other, they were sweating, they preferred a thousand craniotomies and brain tumors next to Derek, than being in that moment, she didn't want to lose Addison, if she still had her, their mouths opened and closed a few times and finally gave up talking.
Meredith watched the redhead close her eyes and in that moment she felt her heart beat so fast she could hear it and no doubt Addison heard it too.
"Addison..."
"It's over," they said together.
Meredith felt her eyes water and watched the green immensity that was Addison's eyes open.
Again silence reigned in that room, they didn't move, they just looked at each other with heavy breaths and agitated hearts like the sea on a stormy day.
Meredith was still motionless staring at Addison in front of her.
"Are you sure?"
"About what?" Addison asked after taking a deep breath.
"That it's over?"
"Meredith, I love you, okay? I love you like crazy and that's weird, because a few months ago I hated you, this is all madness," Addison said trying to control her exasperated voice. "So yes, I'm sure."
"We can't end this way, not because of Derek or anyone else," Meredith said in tears.
"It's over, Meredith, it's just over, so either you accept it, or I'll force you to accept it," Meredith dried her tears and went to the door, staying close to the redhead.
Addison held her waist and looked into her eyes, "It's over," Addison whispered, holding Meredith by the nape of the neck and pulling her into a slow kiss.
She asked for passage with her tongue into the blonde's mouth and Meredith, still ecstatic, gave in, felt her tongue being slowly sucked and squeezed Addison's waist, squeezing it slowly.
Their faces moved to the rhythm that the kiss intensified, Addison walked with her towards the bed under the bunk while removing her clothes, Meredith soon tried to help her and undress her, returned to glue the body with the of Addison making them moan at the contact.
Addison pushed her making her lie down on the bed, but she was pulled away and the two moaned in pain as they bumped their foreheads and laughed briefly as they kissed again.
Meredith positioned her leg between Addison's legs feeling her wet and began to move with the redhead, they moaned with their sexes in contact with each other's thighs, Addison's lips slowly pulled Meredith's as she exhaled heavily. .
Her lips slid to the blonde's white neck, just as her hand groped her breast making her moan in approval, Addison slid her fingers across Meredith's belly making her gasp and squeeze her buttocks, touched her clitoris making the blonde gasp again.
Addison calmly parted Meredith's large lips and bit her neck as she felt her wet to the point of almost making her come.
"Addie," She moaned when she felt the redhead playing with her small lips and then penetrating her with a finger.
"Do you like it that way?" She asked in a whisper.
"Oh... Yes," Meredith said biting her lip as she threw her head back feeling another finger penetrate it.
Meredith looked for Addison's breast and grabbed it making her moan as she moved, they were in ecstasy, they needed that, the distance and the days without speaking contributed to that longing.
"Oh my God," Addison groaned, bracing her hand on the bed.
She took her fingers out of Meredith and glued their sexes together and they moaned together as they moved.
Meredith continued like a starving child suckling the breast of the redhead who intensified the rubbing of their sexes with every second.
"I'm going to cum," She said feeling the spasms and the cold in her lower abdomen. "Cum with me, Meredith, Ah," Addison speech was interrupted by the eager moan that escaped her.
Meredith sucked on her neck, squeezing Addison's buttocks and feeling her liquids mix.
Meredith stared at the top bunk as she felt Addison's fingers circle her arm.
"Is it really over?" She asked looking at the redhead, Addison returned the look.
"Yes, it's over."
"Then why are we naked in this room?"
"It's proof that it's over," Addison said smiling without showing her teeth and kissed the blonde's cheek. Meredith was prevented from saying anything as the pager went off, she caught Addison looking at her.
"I need to go," Meredith said, pulling away from Addison.
The redhead just watched her get dressed quickly and sighed as she saw the blonde leave the room hoping that was a good choice to make.
She got up picking up the clothes and getting dressed and then left heading towards her brother's room.
"How is he?"
"Well, he haven't woken up yet," Naomi said calmly. "How was that talk?"
"It went okey," Addison shrugged and sat down.
"Did you make up?"
"We had sex," She sighed. "And it was very good," she continued before her friend asked her again.
"You've fallen for her."
"That doesn't change anything at all, Naomi, we don't have the maturity for this long-distance relationship."
"Go back to Seattle, stay with her and don't run away again, I know you didn't leave just because of the great job proposal, it was out of fear of not being reciprocated and you are, Addison."
"I don't know," she shrugged again seeing Naomi deny it with a negative shake of her head, she knew her friend was stubborn.
Meredith looked at her food and took a deep breath without cheer, Addison had said it was over even after the wonderful sex they had she was still insecure and Derek wouldn't leave her alone.
"You look terrible," Christina said sitting next to the blonde. "If it makes you happy, I'm making little Grey suffer a lot."
"Give it up, Cristina."
"What?" she asked she worried.
"It's over, are you happy? Now there really is no one else," Meredith said getting up and leaving the cafeteria.
"What happened?" George asked worried about her friend.
"Is she really mad at us yet? I don't want to have to look for another house."
"Do you only think about yourself, Izzie?" Cristina asked irritated "She's bad, okay? Too bad, that guy broke up with her."
"How boring," Izzie said despondently.
"I'll see how she's doing," She said leaving the cafeteria and going to look for her friend.
Cristina walked for a few minutes until she found her on the stairs.
"Are you okay?"
"No, I'm not fine," Meredith said irritably.
"Meredith, you know you can tell me."
"So you can run to Derek and get his surgery?" Meredith laughed ironically, Cristina froze.
"W-what?"
"How did I know?" Interrupted her "Tell your interns to be more discreet next time."
"Meredith..."
"It's Addison, okay!" She shouted in anger. "I was with her, take advantage of what you found out and go tell the whole hospital, better, run to Derek, at least you get something in return," she said opening the door and leaving.
Derek looked at Archer's chart and was silent.
"Is there something wrong?" Addison asked apprehensively.
"None," He smiled looking at her. "Everything is in perfect order, there's nothing to worry about."
"Try to breathe a little Addie, I'm fine," Archer said holding her hand.
"I'll only calm down when these first hours pass and you're completely fine to go home."
"The recovery isn't long, I'll have Dr. Gray come check on him every hour, just to make sure there's been no change, which I'm pretty sure there won't be."
"She's a very beautiful woman, don't you think, Derek?" Naomi asked.
"Who?"
"Doctor Grey."
"Yes, she is beautiful."
"Addison told me about you guys." Addison rolled her eyes, just remembering it made her jealous.
"We had a relationship, we would continue to have it, if her excuse wasn't a supposed imaginary relationship, but I'm sure it's just to get rid of me," Addison squeezed her brother's hand unconsciously.
Naomi and Archer looked at each other and smiled when they noticed the redhead's attitude.
"You guys make a nice couple," Archer said.
"I wanted a child with that woman, start my life over," Derek said.
"Aren't you dating that nurse?" Addison asked seriously.
"I am."
"Then why are you still so interested in Meredith?"
"Because I'm in love with her."
"As far as I know she's dating and it's not because she didn't go out showing the person to the four corners that means she's lying, the world doesn't revolve around you, Derek." She said without trying to sound indifferent. "People don't need prove that they are fine and that they are happy just because they ended a relationship with you, some really are happy and if you like Meredith as much as you say, stop being selfish and leave the girl alone," she continued without patience and got up following to the door.
"Where are you going?"
"Take some air," Addison said leaving the room.
"What happened to her?"
"She's just tired," Naomi said and exchanged a brief look with Archer who smirked.
Addison walked down the hospital hallway, keeping an eye on her cell phone.
"Addison," She looked up seeing Richard in front of her and smiled without showing her teeth.
"Hello Richard."
"How is your brother?"
"Now, his okay, the scare is over."
"Where were you going?"
"To breathe a little, the night was not easy and this dawn seems to be endless," she explain caressing the back of the neck.
"I understand, why don't you rest a little? Try to sleep."
"I'll try."
"It's not just that, you've got something on your mind," he said, crossing his arms.
"Some subjects are more intense than others," Addison said wearily.
"I understand, but there's nothing that can't be resolved."
"Yeah, you are right."
"Excuse me, Chief," the two looked at Meredith. "Doctor Bailey is waiting in the operating room, we tried to page you, but you didn't answer."
"I forgot my pager at my office. Excuse me, Addison."
"Of course," Meredith looked at her for a few seconds.
"How's the patient?"
"At the moment his are unstable, but he suffered a breakdown in less than an hour," Meredith said following him down the corridor, out of the redhead's field of vision.
Addison took a deep breath, without a doubt it would be a long night, with that thought she left the hospital.
