"It takes balls to get into a car with a complete stranger. What if I was a serial killer?" Johnny chuckled, looking over at Lulu.
"I guess that would be my mistake, the thought hadn't crossed my mind. All I was focused on was getting out of Port Charles, away from my whack ass ex. I tend to get myself into situations because I can't ever keep my mouth shut...I always have something to say. Sadly. It hasn't gotten me many friends, if any. I don't even care about the enemies I've made, I try to make it worse actually." Lulu shrugged, not that she was trying to tell him her whole life story.
"You're not afraid to say what you think, that's one of the best qualities it says that you know what you want."Johnny's own sister was like that, though Johnny hadn't seen Claudia in years.
"Maybe you're right." Lulu nodded, she'd spent all these years thinking she was the problem, maybe it was everyone else. Johnny drove a long the highway, knowing he had a long journey ahead of him but Johnny honestly didn't mind. Driving was the only break he got from his father, which is why he was doing this in the first place picking up this beautiful woman was just a plus. Johnny had never met a woman who wasn't scared of his last name, most ram the other way screaming. Johnny found a kindred spirit in Lulu, Johnny didn't have any friends so it was nice talking to someone he didn't hate. Johnny was always around his crazy father or douche bag Trevor, there had to be more to life than this. Before he left town he'd withdrawn all of the money off his credit cards and Trevor's next paycheck, not that the old man needed it. Johnny glanced over at Lulu because she'd been quiet for a minute, her head was leaning against the window and her eyes shut. Johnny had never had a girlfriend before, but why was he feeling this way over a woman he just met?
"Calm down Johnny." He shook his head, there was just something about Lulu that attracted him, it wasn't just that she was the most beautiful woman he'd ever met.
Johnny saw a "Welcome to Pennsylvania" sign as he flew past, wow he was making good time.
"Maybe we should stop at a hotel, she does look tired." Johnny noted allowing himself to glance over at her, damn she did look cute. Johnny wonders of everything she did was beautiful, he could see why it would be. Johnny pulled into the parking lot, as Lulu's phone went off.
"Shit! I thought I turned this motherfucker off." Lulu blinked away her sleepiness, quickly answering.
"Hello?" Lulu yawned, Johnny chuckled softly.
"Hey Lulu, it's me! Are you okay? I heard what happened. I just wanted to call and check on you." Georgie Jones spoke into the phone, knowing she had to be hurting.
"Oh, hey Georgie. Um I'm actually alright, Logan did what he did. It's okay but, thank you for checking on me. I appreciate it. By the way, don't freak out but I'm going to be away from Port Charles for awhile." Lulu sighed.
"Well, as long as your okay, you were always too good for Logan. Where are you now?" Georgie wasn't surprised Lulu left.
"Yeah I really was. I'm heading to New Orleans but, I'm in Pennsylvania right now. If anyone asks you never heard from me, and you don't know where I am. Just for reference I'm fine, I just don't need nobody's shit." Lulu didn't want her family bothering her, especially Lucky and Nikolas. Her father would completely understand but, her brother's were another story...as were Sonny and Carly.
"Got it, when you get settled I'll come and see you! I have a hell of a lot of vacation days stacked up. Just be safe and keep in touch. I love you." Georgie wouldn't tell her friends business.
"Thanks. That would be nice, your the only friend I have. Like, ever. I'll text you or call you tomorrow, I love you too." Lulu was glad that Georgie had called.
"Are you alone?" Georgie knew Lulu hated driving long distances.
"No, I'm not alone. Like I said, I'll talk to you tomorrow. Bye bye now." Lulu chuckled, hanging up the phone.
"Sorry about that." Lulu says, pocketing her phone.
"It's okay, at least you've got a friend that's checking on you. You are traveling with a guy you just met." Johnny definitely had been bitten by the love bug.
