Lulu leaned back in her seat as the plane prepared for takeoff, for the first time in a long time she felt at peace with her life. Taking out her phone, she pulled up an empty text message and began typing.
Lulu: "I'm going to Maine. Don't miss me too much?" Pressing send she waited for a reply, hoping it would be a good one.
Maxie: "Get some dick for me, too! I'm just kidding but, seriously have a good time. When you get settled I'll come for a visit, it'll be good for you to be out of PC for awhile. I love you, tell Johnny I said hello."
Lulu: "I love you too, I'll call you tomorrow. Johnny's picking me up when we land, I'm actually going to be staying with him until I can get on my feet. I could use a fresh start. Thank you and Matt for supporting me, tell Matt I'll miss him too."
Maxie: "We love you, of course. Oooh, you're staying with Johnny? Maybe you will get sex!"
Lulu: "I just can't wait to see Johnny, I feel like I'll be more at peace. Ever since Johnny left Port Charles there's been something missing. You know? Johnny wasn't just my boyfriend, he was my friend too. Johnny understood me on another level. I hope the plane doesn't crash! Lol."
Maxie: "leave it to you to think of the plane crashing, everything will be fine! You'll feel better once you get there, have a safe flight. Text me if you need me, you know my phone's always up my ass! Lol."
Lulu: "you're right, I'm sure it's just nerves. I will, have a good evening. I love you." With that final text to her best friend, she tucked her phone into her pocket and stared out the window as the plane took flight.
"Goodbye New York, it's been fun."
Johnny got through all of his lectures with no issues, it was thrilling to finally get to do what he loved and for everything to be legal. Living under Anthony's thumb had held him back for his entire life, up until three years ago when Anthony attempted to murder Sonny Corinthos and got busted by Lucky Spencer. Thanks to the arrest the detective was now living quite comfortably, Claudia had Anthony committed to Shadybrooke where he still was to this day. Moving away from Port Charles was the best thing Johnny could have ever done, and now he'd be seeing the woman of his dreams in a couple of hours. Johnny packed up his things for the day and drove home, finding Abby was already home.
"How was work?" Johnny asked her, shutting the front door behind him.
"Clerical. How about you?* Abby joked, as she wiped down the kitchen counter.
"Oh, it was okay. I'm more excited about tonight, I just can't believe I'm going to actually see Lulu again. Honestly, it's like a dream come true. I don't know what she's been through to send her running from Port Charles to me but, I'm going to make the most of it. Most men don't get a second chance at being with their first love again but, I'm not going to waste it." Johnny had been thinking about this all day, deciding he wanted to prove to her that he could be the man she needed.
"I think that's great Johnny, I think you two would be good for each other even though I have yet to meet the famous Lulu Spencer. I'm excited to meet her, I'll order the pizza while you're out because I don't want it to get cold. It's getting to be about that time, you should get going!" Abby pushes her friend towards the door.
"Right, I'll be back! I wanted to stop and get her some flowers." Johnny nods, shutting the door behind him and leaving the apartment.
"Alrighty, I need a shower. I want to look nice, first impressions are killers." Abby ran a hand through her hair, before going to her room and grabbing a pair of jeans, a black t-shirt and heading to go wash the Secretary off of her.
Johnny stopped at a local department store to browse the flower selections, his eyes landing on a white bouquet of Daisies. Lulu had always hated the traditional red roses, she hated most traditional things including marriage. "I'll buy these for her, I think she'll like them." Johnny quickly decided, going to pay for the flowers and driving to the airport.
Lulu blinked rubbing the sleepiness from her eyes as the plane landed, she stands up feeling a little tired but her excitement overweighed the fatigue. "Woah, it's fucking cold." Lulu winced at the chill as the wine hit her, walking swiftly towards the exit.
"Yeah, it's cold here. You know, it's not exactly summer in Port Charles Lu." She heard that familiar voice speak, Lulu could hear the smirk in his voice.
"YOU HAVE NOT CHANGED A BIT!"
