"YOU'RE ACTUALLY HERE!" Lulu squeals in shock, throwing her arms around Johnny not caring who saw.
"Well, I told you I would be! You know I'm always a man of my word. It's good to see you, too." Johnny chuckled wrapping his arms around her, the moment felt like home nowhere else ever had. Maine was great but, nothing felt the same as being in the same state as Lulu Spencer.
"I know, it's just been four years and I might have missed you. Only a smidge! I would never want to inflate your ego." Lulu smiled, pulling back to look at the man she had always loved.
"I might have missed you, too. Let's get you out of the cold and back to the apartment. I'm so glad you're here, Lu." Johnny was overjoyed to have her in front of him, it's not like he hadn't dreamed of this moment a thousand times.
"Please, it's freezing. Leave it to you to pick one of the coldest states-Oh. Did you get me flowers??? Johnny, you didn't have to do that!" Lulu gasped, taking in the white daisies in his hand.
"You deserved something pretty, almost as pretty as you. I know you obviously went through something that sent you away from home, I just wanted to get you something."Johnny shrugged, a slow smirk spreading across his face.
"Don't blush on my account." Lulu playfully winked at him.
"But on a serious note, thank you. You know, for everything. I think if I'd stayed in Port Charles I'd end up checking myself into Shadybrooke which I don't need. Ever again." Lulu confessed.
"You're welcome, you should know by know that I'd do anything for you. You're Lulu Spencer, that's the only explanation I need." Johnny shook his head, Lulu still didn't realize how special she was.
"Awe, you don't know how much I've missed hearing that!" Lulu pulled him into another hug, her anxiousness was melting away by the second, Port Charles and all the drama it held felt like a million miles away. Johnny immediately hugged her back, to be honest he'd expected it to be awkward at first but...seeing Lulu again was like coming home again.
"Let's get your luggage and cut out of here." Johnny chuckles, leading her to the baggage claim while wrapping an arm around her. Once they got her luggage, Johnny led her out to his car opening the passenger seat door for her, Lulu gave him a smile.
"Thank you." Lulu slid into the familiar seat, she couldn't believe he had the same yellow mustang he'd had the night they met.
"You've really taken good care of her. Huh?" Lulu called out to him, as he put her bags in the trunk.
"Who?" Johnny arched one brow, confused.
"The car." Lulu chuckles, twirling a strand of blonde hair around her finger.
"Ohhhhh, yeah. You know this car is my baby." Johnny smirked, opening the driver's side door and getting into the car.
"I know, I remember coming second best to the mustang." Lulu joked, as Johnny started the car.
"Hush, nobody's ever come second to you." Johnny playfully rolls his eyes, pulling into the parking lot of his penthouse apartment.
"Who would I be if I didn't push your buttons?" Lulu shrugged with a light smirk, she felt better than she had in a long time.
"By the way, Maxie said to tell you hello and that she wants you to do me." Lulu covered her mouth laughing, reading the text from her cell phone.
"Same old Maxie." Johnny chuckles, pulling into a parking spot.
"So...to get the elephant out of the room, are you seeing anyone?" Lulu asked him, unbuckling her seatbelt.
"No. I haven't really seen anyone since we broke up, a couple of dates here and there but nothing with substance." Johnny had no issue with saying it.
"Thank you for being so brutally honest, I appreciate that. I wish I could say the same thing...oh, boy do I wish. Buuuut that's enough about me, for now." Lulu sighed reaching for the door handle but, Johnny places his hand over hers stopping her.
"What's up?"Lulu swivled her body to face him.
"We don't have to talk about what brought you here tonight but, don't keep it all inside. You can talk to me, you know? I've always been here for you, I'm always gonna be."Johnny took her hand in his as he spoke, looking into her hazel eyes.
"I know, it's just a lot to unpack. I'll be okay. For now, let's just get inside it's still cold." Lulu giggled.
"Alright you big baby, let's go."
