Chapter Title: Blastoff
A/n: I got this prompt from an excerpt of a book on Pinterest but...I couldn't find the name of the book. No copyright infringement intended! A few things to explain in this story, Lulu has a room at Jake's because she couldn't stand living at The Quartermaine mansion anymore...she works at Jake's. Johnny and Lulu's first meeting will be explained in a later chapter, Maxie and Lulu are still at odds and everything.
The thump of my footsteps drowns out the rest of my sentence. I burst into Lulu's room, than skidded to a stop when I saw her curled up on her bed. She lifts her head at my entrance, and the desolate look in her light hazel eyes tears my heart to shreds.
"Baby." Johnny says, softly.
A startled gasp sounds from the door. Gritting my teeth, I spin on my heel and proceed to slam the door in Maxie and Logan's astonished faces. They don't exist to me right now. Only Lulu does, and I'm on the bed before she can blink, drawing her into my arms and cocooning her in them. She buries her face against my chest and I can feel her trembling.
"I came as soon as I heard. What happened? Did Hayes try to hurt you?" Johnny whispered into her blonde hair, bringing a hand up to cradle the back of her head.
"Something like that...how did you know I'd be here?" She answered, sounding as if she were a million Miles away.
"Jason called me but baby, please don't ever be afraid to call me if something like this happens again. That's what I'm here for-the good and the bad." Johnny pressed a soft kiss to her forehead.
"I know...I just don't want to deal with him anymore. I just thought if I stopped entertaining him and talking to him that he'd get the memo. Why would he stoop this low? Johnny, I don't understand." Lulu mumbled, trying to wrap her head around why her ex would do such horrible things.
"I don't know baby, people do some messed up things sometimes and we don't know the reason behind it." Johnny tucked a stray curl behind her ear, vowing to always protect his favorite girl.
