"Jason, do you think I'm smart?" Carly Corinthos walked into her best friends penthouse apartment without saying hello, as Jason Morgan answered the door.
"Oh, is that what we're gonna do today? We're gonna argue?" Jason gave her a wary glance, Michael stifled a laugh as he grabbed a bowl of captain crunch from the kitchen.
"Jason, I'm being serious!" Carly whined, throwing her head back in exasperation.
"So am I." Jason carefully says, in case all of this was a trap.
"I think that Sonny's seeing someone else behind my back…I don't even know why I'm surprised. Maybe because he's paralyzed? The fact is, he's Sonny Corinthos. Sonny's always going to be this unattainable man who can't keep it in his fucking pants. No matter how hard I try , I can never be enough for him. Ever." Carly trailed off staring out of the window, trying to remain strong in front of her son.
"Carly, don't measure you're worth based on Sonny. You and Sonny are my best friends and I love you both but, you've always deserved better. I wouldn't be surprised if Sonny was seeing someone and I'm sorry, you know if I knew anything that I'd tell you. You've stood by him through everything and yet, he always runs to women like Alexis and Brenda. It's time that you start living for yourself, stop stretching yourself so thin. Your killing yourself." Jason frowned, knowing that Carly loved Sonny so much that it consumed her…there was nothing that she wouldn't do for Sonny.
"I think I need to disappear for awhile. If you don't hear from me, I'm fine. I promise. It's going to take me awhile to recover from this but, I will recover." Carly took a deep breath, knowing this would be the last time Sonny would ever take advantage of her.
