Sonny's POV
I stared at the announcement in the paper, throwing it across the room. How could Emily go back to Nikolas after everything he'd done to her? I shouldn't have ever pushed her away, otherwise she'd be in my arms right now.
"Boss, Mrs. Jacks is here to see you." Max opens the door to Sonny's study, Sonny grumbles out a response telling Max to let her in. Carly Jacks walked into his study, breathing out a sigh.
"Please don't hurt Johnny, Lulu will be a wreck if you do. It's not like you've ever listened to me before but, please. I haven't seen my cousin this happy in a long time." Carly knew she shouldn't even get involved but, she always put her nose where it didn't belong. It's just the type of woman she was.
"Johnny Zacchara is the last thing on my mind right now but, if it means a lot to Lulu then I won't do it. Lulu is my goddaughter, I promised Luke a long time ago that I would do anything to keep her happy. Lulu's my bonus child. You have my word." Sonny nodded.
"What's wrong?" Carly asked, sitting across from him.
"Emily and Nikolas got engaged." Sonny knew Carly hated Emily but, he needed to tell somebody.
"They did? I can't believe Emily went back to him. After everything that happened with Courtney, I didn't think she'd be that stupid." Carly mutters, surprised.
"Yeah, me either. I...still care very deeply for Emily." Sonny wanted to pour himself a drink but, he made a point not to mix scotch with Carly.
"I know. You should talk to her, tell her how you really feel." Carly shrugged.
"This coming from you?" Sonny raised a brow.
"I don't like Emily but, she was good for you. You know, she brought you to the light. Emily handled you better than I ever could, I'm glad things have never worked out for you and I. I wouldn't have been with Jax if it had, I'm crazy about my husband. I finally have the perfect family, I just found out I'm pregnant again." Carly had suffered a miscarriage a year ago so the fact that she was pregnant both excited and scared her.
"You're right, I was finally able to come to terms with being bipolar because of Emily. I need to talk to her, I just don't know what to say. Your pregnant?" Sonny almost hated that Carly was right.
"You hate that I'm right. Don't you?" Carly smirked, knowingly.
"Yes, yes I do. I'm happy that you're finally happy, we never had a prayer." Sonny smiled, hoping that Carly had this baby.
Lulu's POV
I walked into the Haunted Star after trying to dodge Logan, of course he whines about Johnny as I was trying to get out of the conversation.
"I wish somebody would cap him, I really do." I muttered to myself, shrugging my coat off.
"That can be arranged." I could hear the smirk in his voice.
"What are you doing here?" I walked towards him.
"What am I ever doing here?" Johnny Zacchara smirked, pulling me into a kiss.
"How's that date coming along?" I wondered, when Logan had been in the hospital Johnny and I had shared an intimate night here. Johnny had promised me a date but, things kept getting in the way.
"It's tomorrow night, I've got it all planned out. I'm sorry if Claudia said anything to you when I was missing." Johnny stroked her hair.
"I can't wait! It's okay, I get it. She doesn't want you to get hurt, that's fair." Lulu had to admit his sister was a bit scary but, she wouldn't be scared off so easily.
"Me either." Johnny pulled back to look at her.
"You know, I really like you. I just hope that Sonny doesn't interrupt our date this time." Lulu knew that Sonny being her godfather sometimes got in the way of their relationship.
"Yeah, me too. I don't really feel like getting kidnapped again. I like you, too. A lot."Johnny sealed that thought with another kiss.
Emily's POV
The diamond ring on my finger felt like it weighed a ton as I clocked in for work, at first this engagement seemed like a good idea but...now it almost felt like a burden. I found myself wondering if Nikolas was cheating on me, but I wouldn't dare tell Elizabeth my concerns.
"Good morning." I nodded at my best friend, I really didn't feel like talking.
"Somebody woke up on the wrong side of the bed." Elizabeth looked at me.
"I don't want to talk about the wedding. I'm not even sure if I want to be Mrs. Cassadine!" I blurted out in frustration.
"It's perfectly normal to have cold feet before the wedding. I get it." Elizabeth sighed, having a sinking feeling Emily didn't have cold feet.
"It's this Courtney thing...I know that she's dead but, what if he cheats on me again?"
