"She's got such a good heart. She really does. It's just been broken. A lot." Johnny shook his head, looking after Lulu Spencer as she'd ran off the moment Dante Falconeri proposed to her.
"She didn't even say yes or no-she just ran." Dante says in shock, closing the box the ring was in.
"If that surprises you, than you shouldn't be with my sister. That's what we do-when something scares us, we run. We're Spencer's." Lucky Spencer spoke up, rising from his seat.
"We were fine." Dante shook his head.
"Lulu doesn't want to settle down and probably never will. My sister can't be tamed." Ethan agreed, taking another swig of beer.
"Why would you want to tame Lulu Spencer? She's perfect the way she is. You don't need to put her in you're own box to love her, you don't deserve her. You never have." Johnny Zacchara scoffed, starting towards Dante-intent on protecting Lulu's honer.
"I was just trying-"Dante starts but, Johnny had reached him at this point and his words stopped.
"Lulu is a free spirit, she does whatever she wants whenever she wants. She will never settle and shouldn't have to. If you ask me? You lost her. I'm not sure Lulu will ever want to get married or have children, it's never been something she wanted. I oughta kick you're ass." Johnny was trying to be civil but, ended up punching him square in the jaw.
"Sorry." Johnny chuckled, not really sorry at all as Dante hit the floor.
"Well, I guess it's a free for all now!" Ethan smirked making eye contact with Lucky, as the two brothers began to beat Dante up.
"You guys have fun, I'm going to get my baby girl." Johnny chuckled throwing his jacket on, exiting the bar. Johnny didn't exactly know where Lulu was but, there were only so many places she could go. Johnny got into his Yellow Mustang and drove off going into the backroads part of Port Charles-where barely anyone went, it's where he'd met Lulu all those years ago.
"LU!" He yells out the window catching the back of her as she speed walked along the gravel, checking out her ass as he did so. Getting out of his car he walked over to the passenger side, as Lulu slightly turned around. At the sight of seeing her first love leaning against his Mustang and looking at her, Lulu turned from the direction she had been walking and raced towards Johnny.
"Johnny!" Lulu calls out gleefully, as Johnny caught her in his arms.
"How's my favorite girl doing?" Johnny chuckled, spinning her around before putting her back on her feet.
"I'm -fine." Lulu shrugged.
"Sweetheart, if you were fine you wouldn't have raced outta Jake's like a bat outta hell. C'mon, talk to me." Johnny gives her a knowing look, before patting the hood of his car.
"I should have known I couldn't lie to you. I didn't mean to run off like that-I know Dante is probably heartbroken right now." Lulu sighed heavily, hopping up on the hood of The Mustang.
"I don't know why you try...I know you too well. Actually, he might have had more than a broken heart. I really didn't mean to punch Falconeri it just happened-when I left Lovett and Lucky were kicking his ass." Johnny chuckled, thinking the prick deserved it.
"JOHNNY!" Lulu yelled, hitting him upside the head.
"What? That's what he gets for pushing things on you that you never wanted." Johnny defends himself, trying to dodge from her hit.
"You remember me saying I never wanted any of that?" Lulu asked, surprised.
"I remember every conversation we've ever had-I guess just like you remember this." Johnny smiled seeing the moonlight glint on the gold necklace worn around her neck, with an emerald in the center...and the Zacchara family crest. Johnny picks up the charm on the necklace, as if seeing it for the first time.
"I've never taken it off-not since the night you put it around my neck. I don't feel right without it. I feel like it's my only connection to you." Lulu admitted, looking down at her lap.
"You'll always have a connection with me, Lu. It's our memories. Our love. Our friendship. You're heart. It's right now. You never leave my mind, it's been that way since the night we met." Johnny drops the charm, tilting her chin up.
"My life just doesn't work without you." Lulu sighed, looking into his eyes.
"Same here." Johnny sighs, giving her forehand a kiss.
"I love you. It was always you." Lulu sighs, leaning her head against his arm.
"I knew, I always did. I was just waiting on you." Johnny smirked.
