"Do you have a death wish?" She screeched angrily, I noticed tears in her red rimmed eyes. A few of her hairs were caught in her left eyelashes, but she failed to notice them.

"You could've died!"

I was confused.

"I don't-"

"Stop." She cut me off.

"Just stop." Her anger was gone. She slumped, exhausted. She took a deep, shuddering breath. My heart twinged as I saw how worried she was about me. I slowly embraced her small frame.

"I'm okay." I swallowed.

"It's okay." Johnny was confused on why she had stopped by The Penthouse this afternoon but, he always welcomed her company. All of that was before a hail of gunfire paraded it's way through the apartment-leaving both Johnny and Lulu almost defenseless. This was the first time that she'd seen her godfather for who he was-a monster. Sonny hadn't given a shit about who was in here with Johnny, or about Johnny's life.

"This is going to end badly-someone will die. I don't want to wake up one day and see you're obituary in the fucking paper! If you keep on the path you're heading down, I'm afraid." Lulu croaked out, barely able to get out a sound because of how petrified she was of the thought of Johnny not being here.

"I know. That's why I'm going off the grid-come with me." Johnny admitted, serious as ever.

"Are you serious?" Lulu looked at him, looking for any hint of a joke.

"Dead." Johnny nodded.

"Let's go." And with those words leaving her mouth, they embarked on a new chapter.
