Riff was asleep and Diesel and Ice stayed nearby to watch him. To watch for any signs that he'd awaken. So far Riff stayed asleep. Ice knew that it must be a good thing that Riff was still asleep as of this moment. He was looking at him as he was worried about what will happen when Riff wakes up Would he have another meltdown (nervous breakdown) or no? That was what he was wondering. What will happen when Riff wakes up? When will they know about Tony's fate:Will he succumb or survive? Riff wanted to know the fate of his best friend and he wanted to know that right now as well. Not knowing was driving him apoplectic and he was going to go crazy. All he wanted was to hear about his best friend.
If it wasn't for Ice and Diesel, he'd go insane. Ice and Diesel were waiting for the doctor to come and tell them what would the fate of Anton Wyzek be: Survive or succumb? What will the outcome be? Riff woke up and asked,"Did the doctor come and say anything?" Diesel said,"No." Riff snarled. Ice said,"Riff, please. We just have to wait." Riff said,"Well,I want to know right now!" Ice said,"Riff,either be patient or we leave." Diesel nodded as they watched their leader. A nurse was walking by and Riff asked,"Do you know anything about Anton Wyzek?" The nurse said,"I'm sorry. I'm confused." Ice said,"He was wondering if you knew anything about the condition of Anton Wyzek. He just got admitted today." The nurse shook her head and walked away.
After 2 hours,a doctor walked out and said,"The family of Anton Wyzek?" Riff ran forward and Diesel and Ice grabbed him to still him. The doctor said,"I am sorry but I cannot say anything about his condition if you are not family but friends of his." Riff said,"I'm sorry but I will be seeing him!" Diesel said,"What he meant to say was that him and Anton Wyzek are like blood to each other and to please let him see him." The doctor said,"I'm not allowed to do that. I'm sorry. But I can say it didn't look good."
This was the end of Riff's rope and he stormed forward and Diesel said,"Riff." Ice grabbed Riff and Riff understood the silent communication. The doctor said," I'm sorry that I can't say yes and allow him to." Riff struggled against Ice and Diesel stepped up,"Riff, don't." Riff lunged himself forward. The doctor stood there not relenting. Riff struggled with all his might. After a few minutes of not saying anything,Riff spoke up,"Please. He's like blood to me. Please tell me his fate. If you won't do that then let me go and see him. Imagine if you were in the position I'm in right now. Please let me know or see him. He's the one who's been there for me from the day that I met him. I can't live without him. I need to know his fate. Tell me doc."
The doctor said nothing about the condition but told him the room number. And was about to say something when Riff took off. Ice and Diesel followed him and found him just outside the door to Tony's hospital room and they went in and saw Tony. The doctor was right it didn't look too good. It looked Ike Tony was actually no longer alive. Riff's heart kept breaking. How could this have happened to him? How could this happen to Tony of all people? Of all people it had to happen to someone who didn't deserve it. It had to happen to Tony. Tony did nothing to deserve what happened to him. Tony was trying to start a new life.
Riff felt like he was stuck in place,unable to move. He stepped towards the hospital bed and looked at his best friend, brother from another mother lying there. He never thought this would happen ever but it did. Riff never thought he'd see Tony lying in a hospital bed. But somehow it was currently happening right now. He hoped that he hears about Tony's condition. He had to hear if his best friend will live or will die. A different doctor walks in and checked Tony's vitals and Riff asked,"Can you tell me about the condition he's in and if he will wake up or not?" This doctor said,"From what I was able to get from when he was first brought in was that there was no chance of recovery. But now there is a chance he will recover but it's not high." Riff nodded. The doctor left. Riff said,"Guys, he has to wake up. I can't lose him." Ice and Diesel hugged him.
