The six hero groups searched all over shanghai with Marinette, looking for her lost purse. Inside it contained her cellphone, the Ladybug Miraculous and Tikki herself, stolen by someone. But they aren't having much luck finding whoever took it.
"We've been looking around the city for hours." Mermista groaned. "Couldn't you have paid more attention to know what this girl looked like, Marinette?"
"Sorry Mermista… I only realized my purse got stolen after… well…" Marinette said. "I think it's time I explained why I'm even here in the first place. I came to Shanghai mostly because I wanted to get a package to my Uncle Wang, and I told my parents I wanted to get connected with the other half of my roots here in China. But the truth is… well…"
"This was all an excuse to go see Adrien, wasn't it?" Sakura asked.
"Gah!" Marinette gawked, being found out.
"It's pretty obvious after knowing you for so long." Simon said.
"Alright, alright… you got me." Marinette sighed. "We planned this big potluck lunch back in Paris, and Adrien was gonna be there. But Alya told me the date for his dad's new fashion store opening in Shanghai was moved up, so Adrien and Gabriel flew to Shanghai early. I went to Shanghai to meet up with him, y'know, maybe spend some time… and once I saw him, I got so distracted that I didn't notice my bag was missing until it was too late. I didn't even see who stole it, or why."
Mark let out a sigh of his own. "Marinette, we love you, but there's a thin line between love and stalking. And you're teetering on it."
"Yeah…" Marinette replied with the last of a trio of sighs. "I'm…going to have to work on it."
"We can start on that once we get your stuff back." Eddy said.
As Marinette went ahead a little, the group huddled close.
"It's obvious Gabriel moved his trip here ahead of schedule because he's looking for this Prodigious, and I think he knows the right time to get it." Glimmer whispered.
"There must be something specific about the date. We just don't know what it is." Miu said.
"Well, whatever he's up to with the Universal Villains, we'll find out what. Let's just… not try to let it slip to Marinette that Gabriel is Hawk Moth." Bow said.
"I dunno what the big deal is with Gabriel. Y'know, I've actually heard he's trying to spend more time with Adrien when he's not trying to steal Miraculous." Scorpia said.
"That's good for a father, but he's still a maniacal supervillain." Yang said.
"Yeah. We can't forget that. And as long as he is in the Universal Villains, he is our enemy." David said.
"Yeah…and it's late at night anyway. We may as well…" Marinette said before they all saw some men shouting at them in Mandarin. "Oh…how can my…" she said turning to run only to bump into someone. This someone was a girl in a black open jacket with long blue hair and a shirt with a dragon on it. "Sorry…wait…you're the girl from earlier."
"Wait, that's her? You're sure?" Mark asked.
"Yes. I'm sure. She's the girl they were chasing earlier! They're running after me now. I guess you don't speak a word of English, either…" Marinette said.
"Yes. I speak English. Now let's get out of here." the girl said.
"Wait, hold on a-!" Scarlet started to say before the girl ran, Marinette following after. "Well, guess we're doing this then!" he said as the group ran after the two girls.
They eventually lost the men pursuing them as they came out of hiding.
"I lost them." she said before looking to the group. "Something wrong?"
"Nothing you can't fix, I'm sure." Mark replied. "Let's start by clearing the air: you stole our friends things, right?"
"Of course I didn't. I mean…" she said, seeing familiar earrings with Marinette. "Wait, you got them back?"
"What, these? No. A nice old lady gave them to me earlier." Marinette said.
"What about the real ones? Do they have…sentimental value?" she asked.
"Yes, someone important gave them to me. Someone who trusted me…" Marinette said as the girl gasped in surprise.
"I know how you feel. I also had a jewel stolen from me. One that someone special had entrusted me with. Like you, I want it back at any cost." she said.
"Any cost?" Hope asked.
"Yes." the girl said. "So, I'll help you."
"Sounds perfect. Who are you?" Blake asked.
"My name is Fei." she said.
"Fei… that's a good name." Hope said.
"And who are all of you?" Fei asked.
"My name's Marinette. And these are my friends. They're… mostly from out of town." Marinette said.
"Like… WAY out of town." David said.
"But it is still very nice to meet you." Baril said, bowing her head a bit.
"...Yeah, we're good." Mark said after a moment of pause. "Glad to be working with you, Fei."
"Likewise…" Fei said as they hurried off.
At the Thousand Delights….
"Huh…we agreed to meet here, didn't we?" Connor said as he and his gang were eating.
"I suppose proper meeting times sometimes escape even their minds once in awhile." Lorenz said, sipping some tea.
"Hey, at least the food here's good!" Raphael said.
"Raph, maybe you shouldn't eat so much. This is Marinette's uncle's restaurant." Connor said.
"Why should we worry? Are we the ones paying?" Hilda asked.
"Don't tell me you thought we were gonna stiff the others the bill…" Connor sighed.
"Marinette, it is me again. I and…surprise, are very worried. Please call me back." They overheard Wang on his phone leaving Marinette a message, and Adrien was with him. "I should not have let her go out alone."
"I'm sure she's fine." Adrien said.
"I'm still going to call the police…" Wang said, ready to dial the police service.
"Scuse me, Mr. Wang." Connor said, walking up. "I couldn't help but overhear that your niece is missing. If you want, we could find her for ya."
"Would you do that?" Wang asked.
"Sure. Couple of our friends are out in the city anyway, and we're worried about em' too." Connor said.
"I'll go with you guys. They probably aren't far, and I do speak Mandarin." Adrien said.
"Sounds good." Connor said as they headed out.
"It'll be much easier to search as Cat Noir." Adrien said.
"And how do you plan to explain his sudden appearance?" Plagg asked.
"I'll figure something out. Plagg, Claws out!" Adrien said as he changed into Cat Noir.
"We'll search the Suburbs. You got the skyline?" Connor asked.
"I'm on it. Lemme know when you find the others." Cat Noir nodded as he leaped away.
"Let's be off. They can't have gotten far." Avlora said.
"Alright, but let's stick together, gang. Trust me, you do not wanna be caught alone in a high-end city like this at night." Connor said.
On the Galaxy King…
"Thanks to you, this world is saved, and my work here is complete. Know that I will always be with you, and that we will stand together again, as we did this day. If ever we cross paths again, I hope you will remember me. Indeed, that you will remember all of us who took up arms to fight by your side. The 12 Emblems."
"Ugh….what…" a voice groaned as light appeared in someone's waking eyes. These eyes belonged to the girl that had been sleeping in her own private room. "Where am I?" she wondered as she got up and looked around. Her attention was then drawn to voices growing louder from outside.
"How long do you think she's gonna be asleep for? I know we were told not to let anyone suspicious through, but… I don't know." a voice said.
"Hmm…." the girl pondered as she slowly peeked out the door.
"It'll be fine, Aoesia. I know we're not the best company for her to wake up to, but it can't be helped." another voice said. "If we went out in public, we'd be lambasted on sight."
The girl slowly opened the door, still groggy from sleep and getting her bearings, making her way out into the common area, a group of individuals were talking amongst themselves. Some were human, others were beastial in appearance.
"Well, nothin' we can do now 'cept continue to watch over Sleeping Beauty. Good thing this ship's got a whole bunch of activities for us to do or, else, we-" the man in the parka said before he trailed off and he laid his eyes on the girl. "What the…?"
All eyes turned to the now awake girl who they were guarding as she over-explained.
"Ah. It looks like she's awake." Glacius said.
"Hello there. And you are?" the girl said.
"Forgive our rudeness. We had no idea you had woken up already." Angelo said. "I suppose introductions are in order."
"Hello, all! I brought some custom earth consumables for you as a snack while you're still on watch, and…" a new voice said as Peridot came walking into the room before she stopped cold, seeing the girl standing on her two feet as she dropped all the snacks she brought for Reformed Society. "Oh my stars! Th-the girl Dan rescued, the Divine Dragon! She's awake?!"
"Looks like it, don't it Peri?" Yangus asked.
"I don't believe it! When did she wake up?!" Peridot asked.
"A few minutes ago. Don't worry. You weren't missing much." the girl said. "Though…I seem to be in a land with talking animals and bizarre creatures."
"I know it seems strange. But believe us when we say this is not Elyos." Glacius said. "You were captured in your slumber, and you were rescued and brought here."
"Whoa, slow down- I was captured, and rescued?" the girl asked. "And I'm a 'Divine Dragon', that small thing called it?"
"Yeah, that seemed a bit hasty. It would probably be best if we started from the beginning." Nesma said. "Do you remember…anything?"
"Alear…that's the only thing I remember." the girl said.
"Alear, that must be your name." Poison Ivy said. "You don't remember anything else?"
"I know my name, but… that's about it." Alear said.
"Amnesia, hm? I suppose we shouldn't be surprised." Kareem said. "After such a long slumber, she might have some trouble regaining her bearings."
"I think I was asleep for….about 1,000 years." Alear said.
"1,000 years? Hmm… Looks like everything checks out." Zamazenta said.
"If you don't mind, could one of you please explain a few things? I don't even know who I am." Alear said.
"Of course, I think it best for us to start with that. Cheetah?" Jessica requested.
"Right." Cheetah said. "Let's start with the obvious. You are a Divine Dragon. Your kind are royal dragons revered in a few worlds as deities. 1,000 years ago, in the land of Elyos, where you come from, there was a great war. During that war, the Fell Dragon, a member of a demonic dragon race opposite to Divine Dragons, was defeated and imprisoned. The ones who fought against him used rings that housed the spirits of legendary warriors. Who they are, we do not know."
"The war, the Fell Dragon… I feel like I can almost remember, but…" Alear tried to remember.
"Don't try to force it. It will all come to you in time." Esmeralda said.
"Right. You also said I was captured while I was still asleep?" Alear asked.
"Yeah. A crazy scientist came to your place and abducted you. Guy goes by Theodore Flux. Trust me, he's a piece of work." Captain Cold said.
"He's the kind of person no one wants to do anything with." Glacius said. "But you were rescued by the Dimensional Heroes, led by a young man called Jexi the Hunter, who are out and about at the moment."
"You are not among them?" Alear asked.
"No, far from it, actually." Nesma said.
"We are of a different group. We call ourselves Reformed Society." Angelo said. "Though the two gems are with a group called Team Chronicle."
"I see. And you all stood guard while I was sleeping?" Alear asked.
"That's right. We wanted to make sure no one suspicious came by to abduct you again." Tear said.
"I see. Thank you." Alear said. "I'll also have to thank this Jexi person for saving me."
"The one you should really thank is Dan Kuso. He's the one who found you in Theodore's base of operations and brought you back to the Galaxy King, the ship we're in now." Peridot said. "Right now, his group and five others are out in the city looking for the solution to find your way back home. A sixth one is on their way as well."
"I see. You all must be really close if you all are gathering for my sake, though, you didn't really have to." Alear said.
"We insist. After all, you are worth it." Guy said.
"Why dontcha relax with us here for a bit? We're kinda on standby unless somethin' bad happens." Bismuth said.
"Oh…thank you." Alear said.
"By the way, now that I can say it, that ring is really nice on your finger. Where'd you get it?" Yangus asked.
"I…don't really know. I woke up with this." Alear said, looking to the ring on the ring finger on her right hand. It was golden with a blue gem in the center. "How long have I been wearing this ring? Since before I fell asleep? That blue stone… it reminds me of something…"
