It's been a few months since the four boys reconciled, while Cartman and Kenny apologized to Stan. Cartman's apology was slightly surprising to Stan, especially after he said he didn't like to see Stan suffer. Stan knew he was on medication now, and this made Cartman less insufferable. Stan liked how he wasn't the only one getting help for his problems.

Stan's problems ended after his mom and sister had a talk. When the two asked Stan if he wanted to go with them to the spa on the weekend, he politely refused. Instead, Stan was playing Connect Four with Kyle.

"Dude, I'm totally beating you!" Kyle said giddily. Stan knew his friend was good, but he wasn't going to lose. "Yeah, right," Stan laughed. "I've got a lot on my mind, but that won't stop me from beating you!" Stan's fate was sealed as Kyle connected four yellow tokens together. "Aww, man!" Stan said, "You beat me." "I won!" Kyle who was jumping up and down out of joy, was also boasting. Stan yanked Kyle down, and began tickling him, while teasing, "Not so proud now, are you?" Kyle was laughing uncontrollably, and when Stan stopped, Kyle said, "You're a fucking idiot." "Am not,"'Stan chuckled. "I'm actually proud of you. You've never beaten me at Connect Four." "I know," Kyle giggled, "that's why I'm so pumped up right now."

Stan began stroking his friend's curly hair. "Are you okay, Stan?" Kyle suddenly asked. "Yeah, Ky," Stan said. "Why do you ask?" "You said you had a lot on your mind. Bad thoughts, perhaps?" Kyle said. Stan laughed softly, his hand still in Kyle's hair. "No, it's not bad thoughts at all. I'm just happy we're together again. After all the shit that happened, I thought I lost everything." "You'd tell me if anything's wrong, won't you?" Kyle asked, touching Stan's cheek, and Stan put his hand over his. "Of course I would. That's guaranteed, alright?" Kyle nodded slowly, and then closed his eyes. Stan stared at Kyle's face. Stan knew there might not have been yearning in his friend's eyes, but there was certainly yearning in his, and he didn't want to shy away from it anymore. That longing was a road Stan was prepared to walk down on forever, because something like this feeling he had was hard to come by, and something he didn't want to let go of again. Even if it hurts him, even if it breaks his heart, he will continue to love Kyle, no matter how painful and unbearable that love becomes.

You're my favorite person." Stan said. Kyle's eyes opened as he said, "You're mine." Stan gaze with Kyle seemed like a mistake to him, since he fears this may be a moment he'll never have again, and one he doesn't want to forget. Stan caressed Kyle's cheek with his thumb, smiling in a way that made it clear how far he gone he was, and even though he told himself he wouldn't let his friend see it, in this moment, Stan found himself wanting Kyle to see all his good as well as bad parts, because he knew Kyle would stay despite of it.

Before Stan knew it, he could feel Kyle's breath against his lips, until finally, the barrier that kept them apart broke, and their lips collided. Stan could taste the sugar on Kyle's lips, from when the two boys ate sugar donuts a mere hour ago, and it had Stan pushing closer. Kyle's fingers began moving towards Stan's hair.

The two boy's mouths seemed to be intent on each other, and while it was arguably Stan's most unbelievable moment of his life, it was also one of the absolute best. This moment seemed unforgettable, but just as Stan thought about it, the two boys pulled themselves away, eyes wide and breathless, it was only then when realized what they just did.
