(This is a completely unique story, as this is the SWORD ART ONLINE verse instead of the NARUTO verse, so please don't judge what I do)

(P.S, I love SAO and all of its seasons even though season 2 ALO was kinda mid I still loved it and plan on doing EVERY SINGLE SEASON THAT IS OUT. I have watched it over and over again so many times so this story will take place above all else. I will try my best to update the other ones, but don't expect them to be updated over this.)

Author's note: if you love Samehada and Kisame Hoshigaki and the Hozuki clan this is the what if for you, and the pairing is Naruto X Sinon, because Sinon is the best girl IMO, and maybe Suguha too if I feel like it.

Chapter 2: Floor 1 Boss.

Timeskip - 2 weeks later the day after Kirito's and Kisame's Separation
Scene Change: Road to the next town
POV: Kisame

We see Kisame who is wearing a new black fedora that is casting a shadow over his eyes, the hat goes great with his black beginners armor, he is wielding a sword that is strapped to his back by a brown strap that has a metal buckle in the middle holding it together, he is walking down a path until coming upon a waterfall that is surrounded by sharks and an Island that has a Strange wrapped up sword with shark skin on the end of its wrapped blade blade, this sword is embedded into the ground.
One of these sharks tries to attack him by jumping on the land before being quickly killed by a front slash by Kisame's sword, breaking it after the shark's death, at how tough the deceased shark skin is.
Looking down he sees a note on the ground which he reads.
The note says "Whoever may come across this waterfall if you aren't skilled enough to retrieve the sword by passing the Initial test you shall die via trespassing."

(Kisame): Initial test?
Oh dear, maybe I accidentally killed it.
Oh well, it's time to see what this sword is.

Kisame jumps over the rest of the sharks circling the water, surprised none of them attack him, as Kisame draws the sword out of the ground and gets a pop up that says "Do you wish to claim Samehada and become its master?" Kisame looks at this in wonder and clicks yes causing the sword's wrappings to be undone and for it to grow in size at being unsealed, surprising Kisame that it's isn't just a sword and that it's a sentient being made of shark scales into the shape of a sword.

(Samehada): Rah!
(Kisame): Woah!
Aren't you a badass.
I think you and I will get along perfectly.
Let me read your stats.

Samehada then gives off a satisfactory noise at the petting of its new master.
Kisame's eyes widen at what he sees when he checks the stats of Samehada.

Name: Samehada
Description: A legendary weapon made of shark skin that is sentient and has a mind of its own.
Sword Type: Greatsword.
Sword Durability: Infinite.
Sword Damage: Scaled on the level you are at.
Special ability: Samehada can steal health, hunger, and water whenever it slices its opponent.
Caution: This blade will only obey a person of Hozuki descent or their spouse, If you attempt to wield it without these requirements it will eat you alive, killing you.

(Kisame): Kaiyaba knows about the Hozuki clan!?
That means he left this sword here for me, but why!?
Well it doesn't matter now all that's left to do is use this gift to beat this death game.
Wait a minute if he knows about the Hozuki clan, that means!

Kisame then opens his skill list scrolling down until he sees a skill that makes him give a shark grin.

Skill: Water Intangibility
Skill Description: This skill allows the user to turn their body into water and negate damage.
Weaknesses: Lightning infused skills or modifications do double damage.

(Kisame): Well this is amazing, I won't have to worry so much about taking hits
Anyway, are you ready to go buddy?
(Samehada): Rah!

Kisame then seals Samehada back up in its wrapping leaving a little bit unwrapped showing the shark skin that was left out.
Kisame then leaves the waterfall and continues down the path to the next town

Timeskip - 2 weeks later
Scene Change: The Meeting Of The First Floor Boss.
POV: Kirito's Thoughts

Since the game began a whole month has gone by and 2000 people have died so far.
After all this time, none of the players have been able to clear floor one.
I used to be a beta tester and even I haven't found where the boss's lair is, and today finally, we're having a meeting to find and defeat the floor one boss.

We then see Kirito take a seat on one of the bleachers like stairs there along with the rest of the people at the meeting.

POV: Kirito

We then hear a blue haired guy clapping his hands to get everyone's attention.

(?): Ok people, now that everyone is here, let's get this meeting started!
So anyway, I wanted to thank everyone for coming, good to see you.
My name is Diabell and in this game, the job I hold is Knight!

The crowd starts laughing.

(Random Player): Dude there's no job system in this game anymore!
(Diabell): You guys wanna hear this or not?

Diabell then puts on a serious face.

(Diabell): Right, anyway here's the deal.
Our party found the boss room at the top of the tower today.

Hearing this shocks everyone in the crowd.

(Diabell): First we need to defeat the boss and make it to floor 2.
The next step is, we need to tell everyone in the town of beginnings that it is possible to beat this game!
Fact is, it's our duty as the most capable players here.
Do you agree, or not?

Everyone then starts clapping and cheering at these words.

(Diabell): Ok!
Glad to hear that you're all with me on this.
Now we have to figure out how to beat the boss.
First off we will team up into parties of 6.

Hearing this shocks Kirito as he looks around to see everyone starts to part up together.

(Diabell): A typical party doesn't stand a chance against a floor boss.
We need a raid group made up of multiple parties.

Kirito then sees the girl he saved from before (Watch SAO Progressive to know this story line).
Kirito then walks up to her, grabbing her attention.

(Kirito): You got left out too huh?
(Mystery Girl): I didn't want to be pushy, they all seem to be friends already.
(Kirito): Ok, how about we form a party.
(Mystery Girl): Uh…
(Kirito): You heard what the guy said, we can't beat the boss on our own and it would just be for this fight.
(Mystery Girl): Mhm….

Kirito then sends the girl an invite which she reluctantly accepts with a sigh, getting a brief flashback.
Kirito then looks at the name in the top left to see it says Asuna.

(Diabell): Alright, now that we have that out of the way, we should–
(?): Hold up a sec!

A red haired man jumps down at Diabells feet facing the crowd.

(?): My names Kibou, got that.
(Kibou): Before we take on the boss I want to get something off my chest.
We all know about the 2000 that died so far yeah?
Well some of you need to apologize to them right now.

Kibou then points at a Guy with white hair wearing a black fedora casting a shadow over his eyes, he is also wearing black beginner armor with a brown strap and a strange sword on his back.
Everyone then looks at this Guy in wonder.

(Diabell): Kibou, I think I know who you're referring to…
You mean the ones who are ex beta testers right?
(Kibou): Course I mean them.
The day this stupid ass game started the beta guys up and vanished, they ditched all us beginners!
They snagged all the good hunting spots and all the easy quests too.
They are the only ones who have been getting stronger here, they have ignored us like we're nothing.
Hell, that guy is no exception!
Look at Him!
All stoic with his fedora and strong sword I say we make him apologize to us and give us all his items and money!
He clearly is a beta test just look at him!

Kirito looks over at the guy Kibou was talking about and gains a shocked expression knowing who Kibou was pointing at.
The guy then stands up and walks over to Kibou.

(?): Hey, my name is Kisame.
Kibou, right?
(Kisame): You say, I should give my weapon and my items because you think I'm a beta tester and all the rookies' deaths are on me right?
DId I leave anything out?
(Kibou): No, you didn't.
(Kisame): Well I'm not a beta test, but if you want my weapon you can have it.

Hearing this makes the crowd confused including Kirito and the newly named Asuna.
Kisame then takes the sword off of his back and unwraps it, causing it to become unsealed and grow bigger, shocking the crowd at what the sword has become.

(Kisame): This sword is called Samehada, it is sentient and will only listen to someone of Hozuki descent, so if you want it, take it, just know if you try to use it, it will eat you alive.
(Samehada): RAH!

Kisame then throws the sword towards Kibou causing him back up in fear as Samehada lands in front of him growling at him.

(Kibou): Ah!
Get that thing away from me!
(Kisame): Why?
You said you wanted it didn't you!?
Maybe you should learn your own lesson and apologize to me and not insult someone you just met.
(Kibou): I'm sorry!
Please just get this thing away from me!

Samehada then bites Kibou on the arm causing his health to go down causing everyone in the crowd to be on guard.

(Kisame): Samehada!
Leave the man alone, he has learnt his lesson.

Samehada then returns back to Kisame as Kisame pets it causing it to let out sounds of Joy as Kisame seals it back up in its wrappings.

(Kisame): One more thing.
Don't insult the beta testers as they didn't leave you to die, they put everything in a little guide book everyone could pick up and Samehada told me it saw one on your person, so don't be an asshole to people.
As for all of you, everyone had equal access to that information, it's a shame a lot of people still died, so go easy on the Beta testers and learn from those players' deaths, we're here to learn how to beat the boss, not kick people down.

Kisame then walks back to his seat leaving the crowd in shock, fear, and a little recognition, and a scared Kibou humbled and waiting to be healed.

POV: Kisame

(?): One heck of a show you put on their kid.
(Kisame): Yeah?
Thanks, I always like teaching people a lesson and he was just asking for it.
(?): No kidding, my name's Agil. Thanks for helping the ex beta testers out man, I might not be one of them, but it still sucks to see someone be slandered for no reason.
(Kisame): No problem, it's nice to meet ya, I'm sure you heard, but my name is Kisame and this on my back is my partner Samehada, I hope you won't be afraid of him, he really isn't that bad, he also doesn't like the weak minded.
(Agil): It's nice to meet ya Kisame, Samehada, I'm sure we will get along just fine.
You got a party yet?
You can join ours if you want.
(Kisame): Nah, I saw an old friend in the crowd.
I'm gonna join his party to catch up with him.
Thanks for the offer though man, I appreciate it.
(Agil): Anytime.

POV: Kirito

Kirito then sighs in relief that his friend is alright and a little shocked at his growth.

(Diabell): Ok, let's try and stay on track from now on.

The crowd then nods in agreement.

(Diabell): For info on the boss, it's all in here the latest issue in the guidebook you just heard about.

Hearing this shocks everyone, especially Kibou.

(Diabell): According to the book, the boss's name is Illfang, the cobalt lord.
Also he will be surrounded by his minions, the ruin cobalt sentinels, Illfang carries an ax and a buckler, he has four health bars and when the last bar turns red, he switches to a curved sword type weapon called a talwar, he can change his patterns of attack too.
That's all the information we have, as for distribution, money will be distributed equally, the party that defeats the boss, gets the XP, and whoever gets an item gets to keep it.
Any objections?

The crowd stays silent.

Good!
We leave tomorrow at 10 in the morning!
Meeting adjourned people!

Kirito sees the girl now known as Asuna leave.

Timeskip - 3 hours later
Scene change: Town square

We see people partying and chatting while back in an alleyway we see Asuna sitting down alone, eating bread.

(Kirito): That bread is tasty isn't it.
Is it cool if I sit with you?

Asuna scoots over letting Kirito sit down.

(Asuna): Do you really think this bread is tasty?
(Kirito): Mhm, since I came to this town I eat at least one a day.
Course I got a trick to make it taste better.
(Asuna): What trick?
(Kirito): Try it, with some of that on it.

Kirito then places a jar on the side where they are sitting and Asuna taps it making her hand glow and she puts it on her bread.

(Asuna): Cream?

Kirito then taps on the jar and puts the cream on his own bread as the jar explodes into blue glass particles and Kirito takes a bite.
Asuna, seeing Kirito eat, also takes a bite of her own bread, getting a delicious taste from it and eating the whole thing, making her sigh in relief.
Asuna then looks over realizing Kirito was watching and looks away in embarrassment.

(Asuna): thanks for sharing that….
(Kirito): Heh, it's pretty good huh
It's from the hefter strikes back a quest in the last village.
Wanna know how to get it?
(Asuna): I appreciate the offer, but I didn't come to this town to eat good food.
(Kirito): Ok, then why did you come here?
(Asuna): I didn't wanna lock myself in a room and slowly rot away, I'd rather live on my own terms until the end.
And if a monster did kill me, I didn't lose to this game or this world.
That's why….
(Kirito): I wouldn't want a party member dying on me, so I wanna make sure you're ready.
Since we haven't been a team before we should figure out how to work together during the raid.
You have time to go over it now?
(Asuna): Do we have to talk about it out here?
(Kirito): We could go to a bar or get a table at an inn?
(Asuna): I don't want people to see us and get the wrong idea.
(Kirito): If privacy is what you want, you got it.
The place I'm renting is the second floor of a NPC's farmhouse.
It's got 2 rooms and all the milk you can drink.
The beds Ginormous, the views awesome and it's got a bathtub with hot running-

Suddenly Asuna grabs Kirito Interrupting him, grabbing him by his beginner armor vest.

(Asuna): What did you say?
(Kirito): Th-the milks all you can drink?
(Asuna): No, after that.
(Kirito): G-Ginormous bed, awesome view?
(Asuna): No, after that.
(Kirito): It-it has a bathtub?
(Asuna): Take me there, NOW!
And…let me use your bath…please.
(Kirito): Uh, yeah s-sure.
(?): Mind if I join you two Kirito?

Suddenly Asuna and Kirito look behind them to see the same guy from before at the meeting named Kisame the guy with the Shark sword.
(Kirito): Kisame!?
(Kisame): Yo, how's it going?
(Kirito): Great, been leveling up and getting more loot since we last saw each other two weeks ago.
(Asuna): Wa-wait, you kn-know this guy!?
(Kirito): Oh yeah, me and him were together when the game started and split off from each other and went our separate ways 2 weeks ago.
(Kisake): Yo, name's Kisame, this is my new partner.
I'm sure you guys met him at the meeting.
His name is Samehada and he's a living shark sword.

Kisame gestures towards his sword that is on his back.

(Kirito): U-uh yeah we saw what he did to Kibou at the meeting.
(Asuna): He-he isn't gonna bite us will he?
(Kisame): Oh that, nah, he isn't one to bite for no reason, the only reason why he bit Kibou is because 1 he was a complete asshole and 2 he didn't have a strong will, Samehada is actually a pretty friendly one that likes people of kindness.

Hearing this makes Asuna and Kirito sigh in relief that the sword is friendly

(Kirito): Well sure Kisame, you can join our party, if she doesn't mind.
(Asuna): Who am I?
No, it's fine he can join, but can you please bring us back to your house?
I really want to use that bath….

Hearing this makes Kisame giggle and Kirito gives a warm smile as Kirito invites Kisame and Kisame accepts and they head towards Kirito's place.

Timeskip - 1 hour later
Scene change: Kirito's renting place.
POV: Kisame

Arriving at the farmhouse, opening the door to the bath, Kirito shows Asuna the bath and she ogles over it.

(Asuna): It's beautiful….
It's the most gorgeous bathtub I've ever seen….
(Kirito): Yeah, isn't it, heh ha, have fun.

Kirito then closes the door.
Hearing Asuna take her bath Kirito sees Kisame approaching him while holding what appears to be a container in his hand.

(Kisame): Yo, what's up, she's taking a bath I take it?
(Kirito): Yeah she is, what's in the container you got there?
(Kisame): Oh this?
It's just water.
(Kirito): You don't want any tea or milk?
(Kisame): Nah, the only thing I need to consume to survive is water, it's been like that ever since I was born and it seems to carry over to SAO as well.
(Kirito): Wait water and that's it?
You don't eat any food?
(Kisame): Nah, the only time I eat is when I want to eat something tasty.
(Kirito): Wow, what a cheat code for getting in shape.
(Kisame): Yeah I guess you could say that.

Kirito takes a sip of his tea until the door to the bath then opens revealing the hooded girl and making him spit it out.

(Kirito): Uh, Well?
How was it?
(Asuna): Why are you two lurking over there?
(Kirito): N-no were just.
(Kisame): We're just drinking water and tea.
(Kirito): Ye-yeah that's what we're doing we're just talking while waiting on you.
(Asuna): Mhm.

Kirito then walks over and opens his menu pulling out a rapier.

(Kirito): Before we get started, I want to give you this rapier.
It was a drop I got, but I'm never gonna use it, c'mon let's go.
(Asuna): Go..where?
(Kirito): The Blacksmith.
(Kisame): Well then we better hurry, because they're closing soon.

Timeskip - 30 minutes later.
Scene change: Path back to the Farmhouse

(Kirito): That rapier is leveled up to +4 now.
(Kisame): Yeah, way better than what you were using before.
(Asuna): Why are you two doing this?
(Kisame): Well we are going on a raid tomorrow.
(Kirito): And we're making sure you have the right gear for the job.
(Asuna): You guys didn't have to go through all this trouble.
(Kirito): Like I said, I don't want my party member dying on me.
(Kisame): Same, though I wish we had some time to hunt some rare gear.
(Kirito): I'm sure we will be ok with what we got.
I have a couple Ideas about dealing with this boss, but with you here Kisame, It will be a lot easier since we have worked together before, but we can talk about that later when we get back.
(Asuna): Hey.
(Kirito and Kisame in sync): Hm?
(Asuna): Back at the meeting today, remember how angry everyone got about the beta testers?
(Kirito): Uh yeah.
(Asuna): Are they right?
(Kisame): Huh?
(Asuna): Are all beta testers bad?
Kibou obviously thought so, he accused them of being selfish and abandoning everyone, but then you said they put everything in that book and gave it away to help Kisame.
Can these games…change the nature of a person?
(Kisame): Were you screwed over by a beta tester?
(Kirito): You can tell us if you want.
(Kisame): We're solo players so your secret is safe with us.

All three of them walk over to a nearby bench and sit down on it while Kisame sets Samehada down on the side because of its size.

(Asuna): We were friends in the real world….and in here too.
(Kirito): I get it, they weren't just a party member.
(Asuna): When she deserted me, she was after a rare item from a monster, to her it was more important.
It's like our friendship meant nothing to her.

Asuna starts to tear up a bit.

(Kirito): About that monster, what kind was it?
(Asuna): Hm..?
What do you mean?
(Kisame): Some monsters can drop rare weapons and items so it depends on what it looks like and what weapon the person was wielding.
(Kirito): Was it like an insect or an animal, tell me anything you can remember about it.
(Asuna): Well, it looked like a mouse, but standing up.
(Kisame): And what kind of weapon did your friend use?
(Kirito): Was it a rapier like yours?
(Asuna): Un uh, she always used a scythe.

Kirito then gains a look of realization on his face while Kisame's face stayed the same.

(Kirito): I get it.
(Kisame): Well in the end SAO Isn't an ordinary game.
(Kirito): Yeah, our lives are on the line here.
(Kisame): When a person is staring death in the face, they will do anything to survive.
(Kirito): Yeah, it's just human nature, I don't know why she bailed on you, who knows what anyone's capable of, but when someones kicking back and being normal, that's when you can tell who they are inside and that's what I think.
(Kisame): That's a good way to think about it, there's good beta testers, and bad ones not everyone's the same.
(Kirito): Mhm, as for what kind of person your friend was, I think you know the answer already.
(Asuna): Do I know her..really?

Asuna then gets flashbacks of her and Mito.

(Asuna): Thanks for listening, both of you.
I feel better now.
(Kisame): That's good then.
(Kirito): One thing stood out to me, it's how she said you guys would clear the game together.
She could have bailed then, but she didn't, I wish I could have the same…

Kisame then nods at Kirito knowing what he meant by remembering Klein.

Timeskip - The next day
Scene Change: The path to the Boss
POV: Kisame

(Kirito): Let's go over it again, were the support
(Kisame): So our priority is getting the boss's minions off everyones back, yeah yeah we know, it's still boring compared to actually getting to slice him into ribbons.
(Asuna): You could be a little more enthusiastic about it.
(Kirito): Anyway, I'll attack using one of my sword skills to knock their pole axes up, then one of you switch in and take em out.
(Kisame): Right, at least me and Samehada get to cut something.

A period of silence ensues for a second.

(Asuna): Hey, before this in the real world, you guys played these mult..- I mean mmo games a lot didn't you guys
(Kisame and Kirito in sync): Hm?
(Kirito): Oh I did yeah I don't know about him though since we met in here.
(Kisame): Well yeah I played them when I had spare time.
(Asuna): Well when you guys went on missions in those games was it like this?
Ya know like going on a field trip?
(Kirito): Heh, that's a new way of putting it
(Kisame): Yeah, well it was nothing like this in anything I have played before considering we're actually doing it ourselves.
(Kirito): Yeah, none of them were fulldive like this one, to move around like them you would use a keyboard and a mouse.
(Kisame): I mean to be fair, some you had to use a controller to play them.
(Asuna): Oh, maybe this is what it would be like if it were real.
(Kirito): What do you mean?
(Kisame): Man you're dense, think about it, if we were in a fantasy world this is what it would be like to hunt down monsters and stuff.
(Asuna): Yeah, but would they chat about it like we are or would they just walk in grimm silence?
I'm just wondering.
(Kisame): They don't know if they're heading to their death or glory that changes their lives.
(Kirito): Yeah, but I guess if they were doing quests like this as the norm, I bet times like this would be like heading out to a restaurant for dinner.
They'd talk about life or work or maybe nothing.
(Kisame): Yeah, well I have a feeling the longer we're here in Aincrad, the more we will get used to going on boss raids.
(Kirito): Pfft, could you imagine this life being normal for us.
(Kisame): I certainly wouldn't reject it, it's still pretty cool.

Asuna giggles at this.

(Asuna): Heh, sorry but I can't, there's no way that's gonna happen.
This world, this life, is anything but normal, I can't see anyone getting used to it.
(Kirito): Heh, maybe you're right, but we've been here for 4 weeks so far.
Even if we take down this boss, there's still 99 floors and those bosses to take out.
(Kisame): I see what you're saying, the more we repeat that process, the more normal it's gonna get for us.
(Kirito): Exactly.
(Asuna): I don't know, I'm not as optimistic as you two are.
I couldn't live the rest of my life in here, to me that's scary, way scarier than dying.
(Kirito): Mm, if you need something to look forward to, the bathtubs are nicer on the upper floors.
(Asuna): What!?
Really!?
(Kirito): Yup!
(Kisame): Then let's kill this boss already and get to the next floor.

Timeskip - 10 minutes later
Scene change: The boss door

(Diabell): Alright listen up!
Whatever happens, focus on the objective!
Victory!
Let's go!

Diabell then opens the door as everyone rushes in, making the boss close the door and light up the room in a rainbow like glow showing the boss, Illfang The Kobold Lord.
Illfang leaps off his chair going through the air and landing in front of the raid group and roars showing his 4 health bars.
Blue balls then drop from the ceiling, spawning the Ruin Kobold Sentinels.

(Diabell): Immense attack!

The raid group then charges at Illfang as he swipes some players away and his minions attack some players.

(Diabell): Squads A and C switch in!
Squad B, block those attacks!
Squad C, guard and get ready to switch!

A player then goes in with an axe attack, but illfang blocks it and knocks him back, lowering his HP to yellow as two other players guard him.

(Diabell): As soon as you switch, regroup and get into flanking position!"
Squads D, E, and F, you keep those Minions off us!
(Kirito): You got it!

Kirito then goes in for a strike that launches a Minion in the air, as the minion lands he goes in for more swings clashing with the Minion.
Kirito then knocks its axe pole up in the air.

(Kirito): Switch!

Kisame slices its chest armor to ribbons with Samehada, while Asuna pierces it with its gut, killing it.
Another Kobold Minion spawns behind Kirito and Kirito looks behind him and charges it.

(Kisame): They're respawning!

Kirito then knocks another minions pole into the air repeating this process over and over

(Kirito): Switch!
(Asuna): Switch!
(Kirito): Switch!
(Kisame): That's 5 down!
(Kirito): Good job you guys.
(Asuna): Yo-you too.

Kisame just nods at Kirito.

A girl with purple hair wielding a scythe then slashes at Illfang making him drop down to his final health bar.

(Diabell): Yes, one bar to go!

Illfang then throws his axe and buckler to the side making them shatter in blue glass particles.

(Kibou): looks like that guide book was right!

Diabell then rushes in.

(Diabell): Squad C, surround the boss!
I'm going in!

Illfang then reaches for his weapon, grabbing it and unwrapping it.

(Kisame): That sword 's a Nodachi, not a Talwar!
Get out of there!

(Kirito): This isn't like the beta, he's using a different weapon!

(Kisame and Kirito): Get back, get away, he's starting a raged attack!

Diabell charges up a sword skill and slashes at Illfang, but Illfang jumps up causing his skill to miss and for Diabell's eyes to widen.
Illfang lands on the ground causing a paralysis effect to happen making everyone around Illfang vulnerable.
Illfang then charges Diabell and slashes him, knocking him away and jumps towards him and barrages Diabell with sword skills, making Diabell scream before knocking him into a pillar.

(Kirito and Kisame): Diabell!

They both rush towards Diabell.

(Kisame): Hang there man!
(Kirito): We gotcha!

Kirito pulls out a health potion, but Diabell stops him, shocking both Kirito and Kisame.

(Diabell): Ya know, you two were beta testers, two weren't you.
(Kisame): No, I wasn't, but I'm sure you had a good reason for wanting to rush in.
(Diabell): You were after the last attack bonus…
The rare Item, you're just like me….
A beta tester….
(Diabell): Please….You have to defeat the boss…for everyone here…
(Kisame): You're a good man Diabell, and that is why I will give you an easy death.

Kisame raises Samehada, shocking Kirito.

(Kirito): Wait, what are you doing!?
(Kisame): Goodbye, friend.

Kisame then swings Samehada killing Diabell making him shatter into blue glass particles, seeing this widens the eyes of Kirito, Asuna, and Kibou, who was watching this happen while everyone was fighting off the boss.

(Kirito): Why did you do that!?

We still had time to save him!
(Kisame): His health was at 1 HP slowly going down, he would have died before he could drink the potion!
I was giving him an easy end, one honorable for a Knight.

Hearing this makes Kirito give a look of understanding seeing tears fall from the Shadow from his Fedora covering Kisame's eyes.

Hearing the glass of Diabell shatter, everyone starts to scream, while the Kobold Minions start to respawn and attack players only to be blocked by a purple haired girl with a scythe, who starts to fight off all the Minions.

POV: Asuna

(Asuna): I'm coming!
(Agil): Hold it!
You'll get yourself killed without backup!

Hearing this Asuna rushes in to help anyway.

(Agil): You can't help her!

A Kobold Minion slashes the back of the Purple haired girl while she is blocking a Kobold Minion.
The girl kicks back the Kobold minion and blocks another incoming strike from another.
Suddenly the Kobold Minion gets hit away by Asuna's rapier skill surprising the purple haired girl.

(Purple Girl): Thanks, I owe you.

Another Kobold lord goes to kill the purple haired girl until Asuna knocks it back with a skill the girl recognizes.

(Purple girl): That skill…
(Asuna): Switch!

Suddenly the purple girl snaps back into reality and finishes off the Minion with a spinning scythe slash.

Asuna and the mysterious girl are put on guard as they are surrounded by the minions until the other players start to break free and block the minions.

(Kibou): Time to get some payback!

Asuna looks around until she sees Kirito and Kisame fight Illfang.
But before she can go and help she's stopped by the purple haired girl.

(Purple Girl): Wait!
Asuna?
Is that you?
It is…
You're alive….I…
That day I….
Oh god….

The purple haired girl starts to cry as tears hit the boss room floor
Asuna then hits her rapier against the metal part of the Purple haired girl's scythe making a clang sound surprising the girl.

(Asuna): We still have a game to clear, don't we?
This boss isn't finished yet, so let's beat him together, Mito.
(Mito): I saw him use that same range attack during the beta test, he only used it when he was surrounded.

Asuna then nods and rushes in until Mito calls out.

(Mito): Asuna!
Use this!

Mito then throws a rapier towards Asuna, as Asuna catches it she gets a flashback, back to what Mito said about the monster dropping rare items

(Asuna): Thanks, Mito.

Asuna then Unsheathes the rapier and dashes straight towards the boss where Kirito and Kisame are fighting it, as Kisame is blocking a strike with Kirito to try and overpower the boss, Asuna rushes in and stabs it with a rapier skill pushing it back.

(Asuna): Switching in!
(Kirito and Kisame in sync): Wait!

Illfang then takes a swing at Asuna but she ducks, making the attack knock her hood off as she rips the cloak off, making Kirito's eyes widen.

(Kirito): It-it's her.
(Kisame): Kirito you know this girl?
(Kirito): I ran into her once when I saved her.
(Asuna): Listen up everyone!
The boss only uses raged attacks only when it's surrounded!
I want all of you to fall back!
Restore your HP and stand by!

Hearing this makes everyone fall back while Asuna stands back where Kirito and Kisame are.

(Asuna): Are you guys ready to kill the boss?
(Kisame and Kirito in sync): Yeah!

All three of them charge at Illfang doing the same thing they did with the Minions, Kirito Hits his sword up in the air while Asuna goes for a piercing blow with her rapier knocking Illfang back, seeing this Kisame thinks quickly unwrapping Samehada, unsealing the beast within.

(Kisame): Samehada are you ready!
(Samehada): Rah!

Kisame rushes in and clashes with the boss blow for blow with Samehada until Kirito rushes in with a sword skill knocking his blade up, making an opening.
Kisame then slashes Illfang across the chest, stealing his health and replenishing Kirito's by holding Samehada up to Kirito, shocking the boy with this show of power.
Asuna then stabs Illfang with a rapier skill.
Asuna, Kirito, and Kisame repeat this process over and over until Illfang charges up a sword skill and clashes with Kirito, but Illfang faints this attack and goes for another swing widening Kirito's eyes

(Kirito): No!

Illfang swings his blade at Kirito only for Kirito to be pushed off the course of Illfang's strike by Kisame and Illfang slices Kisame across the chest knocking him back.
Asuna then rushes in but gets blocked and parried by Illfang, but as Illfang slices at Asuna, Mito blocks the attack making her HP go down as it flashes red.
Mito then clashes with Illfang blow for blow until getting knocked back as Kirito rushes Illfang.

(Kirito): Asuna!
Fire up that Linear, let's hit him again!
(Asuna): Right!

Asuna and Kirito rush at Illfang as Asuna hits him with a barrage of Linear strikes, leaving an opening, causing Kirito to hit his sword strike against Illfang's chest, Kirito goes for another attack but gets blocked as Illfang gets parried back and Asuna rushes towards him.

(Kirito): So close!

Mito then rushes in after Asuna, as Asuna gets frightened by Illfang about to be hit by his attack, Mito sweeps him making him go flying into the air above Asuna as Asuna launches him further up with a rapier strike.

(Asuna and Mito in sync): Switch!

Kirito leaps at Illfang with a sword skill, only to be joined by Kisame in surprise as he is perfectly fine at full health.
They leap forwards hitting their sword strikes at the same time slicing across Illfang's entire waist in a flash of green and blue, cutting the Kobold Lord straight in half and in a flash of blue, he explodes in blue glass particles killing the boss for good clearing floor 1.

Causing everyone to cheer the words yes at this new revelation as white text with the words "Congratulations!"
The room then goes Dark.
(Kirito): Nice work!
(Kisame): Yeah, see, no sweat.
(Kirito): Pfft, yeah right.
(Agil): Gotta hand it to you guys, that was some damn good fighting, yall make hell of a team.
And Kisame, that was some fine swordsmanship, today's victory is all thanks to you guys.

Hearing this makes the three give a smile at each other and the crowd cheer until shouting is heard.

(Kibou): Bastard!

Everyone goes quiet then looks at the crying Kibou and his sobbing party.

(Kibou): You bastard.
(Kibou): It's all your fault Diabell died, you killed him!

Hearing this makes the crowd go silent at Kibou yelling at Kisame.

(Kirito): What it wasn't his fault
(Kibou): Like hell it wasn't!
You guys knew about the boss's special sword and extra attack
If you told us before Diabell would have known!
He would have known and he would be alive now!
Hell even if you didn't tell us I saw you kill himself you shark bastard!

The players begin to question this until one calls out.

(Agil): Hey c'mon guys!
(Random Players): Ain't it obvious that guy was one of the beta testers!
That's how he knew all about the bosses attack patterns

She's one of them too, that's why they're all leveled up, they snagged all the good quests at the start!

They took all the XP and all the good gear!
That guide book we got from that Argo chick is a bunch of BS, she used to be a Beta tester too, you think she would give up prime leads for nothing, they're all in it for themselves!
I bet there's more of them here, come out ya cowards!

Suddenly the guy's arm goes flying and shatters into glass as everyone sees Kisame slice it off with one strike.

(Kisame): I told you, I wasn't a Beta tester, if you wanna know so bad I knew the boss's sword I used to be trained by a master before I played this game.
I was taught all about Kenjutsu and different ways to kill.
Eight points, Larynx, Spine, Lungs, Liver, Jugular, Subclavian Artery, Kidneys, heart.
These are the Eight points I could easily kill you in.
Another thing I didn't kill Diabell out of spite, I killed him because he was going to die regardless of what we did, it was already too late, I just gave him an easy death so he wouldn't have to suffer any longer.

Suddenly Kisame gets attacked from behind where a random player cleaves his head clean off, surprising and shocking everyone there.

(Random player): Hmph that'll teach you!
You're all talk!

3 seconds pass by as nothing happens to the body as it turns around and Cleaves the dude in half with Samehada in hand slicing him to ribbons, killing him instantly shattering his corpse into a million blue glass particles surprising everyone.
Suddenly Kisame's head regenerates in a pool of water showing his smirking with his sharp shark-like teeth out, scaring everyone there.

(Random Player): How-How are you alive!
You should be dead! You got Decapitated!
(Kisame): Well, that would be the case….
For a normal player….
Unfortunately you can't kill as easily.
I can turn my body into water making me immune to any kind of damage.
It's been that way since I was born, don't blame the game on my weird genetics.

Hearing this shocks everyone in the room, widening all their eyes.

(Kibou): You-your a monster!
N-no you're worse than a monster, you're a goddamn an ally killer!

Everyone in the room except for a select few are shouting at Kisame that he's a monster and an ally killer.

(Kisame): Hmph, call me what you want, it won't affect me in any way. I'm going to clear this game and none of the beta testers have the skills that I possess nor do they have my special sword, Samehada.
See one thing about Samehada, the stronger I become the stronger it gets and the stronger my opponent the stronger I will become!
You can call me what you want, but I'll be off to the next floor.

Kisame then opens his menu to see the drop he got from the boss and gets a grin and presses the button equip.

Item: The Seven Swordsmen Uniform
Item Description: A uniform with blue pinstripe arm warmers and a black tank top with a white wrapping scarf and black pants and black Shinobi sandals along with wrappings around the ankles
Durability: Infinite
Protection level: Get's stronger as you level up

(Kisame): I'll be taking my leave.

Kisame then walks off as he hears a laugh behind him smirking with his Fedora shadowing his eyes as he continues his path towards the stairs.

(Kirito): I'm not just a beta tester…Jackass!

Hearing this shocks the crowd out of their stupor and points their attention away from Kisame to Kirito.

(Kirito): So don't go putting me in the same league with those noobs, that ain't cool.

Kirito then starts walking towards Kibou and his party.

(Kirito): And FYI big mouth, you're wrong about her, she's a noob like you.
Truth is, most of the 1000 people who scored a slot in SAO's beta were rookies, they were so green they didn't even know how to level up, hell even you dorks are better than they were.

(Kibou): Say what!

Kirito then stops in front of Kibou

(Kirito): I'm nothing like those guys, man.
During the beta, I made it to floors that were higher than any of the other testers, that's a fact and the reason I knew what this boss was up to, it's cause I fought tons of monsters with the same skills on higher floors, I know a bunch of other things too, more than you can imagine, way more than any info broker in SAO.

(Kibou): Did-did you guys hear all that!?
You're worse than any beta tester!
For real!
You're a cheater, a god damn cheater!
(Random player): Beta testing cheater, that's what he is!
Better yet call him a beater!

The crowd starts to yell at Kirito and call him a beater and how he's hogging all the info.

(Kirito): A beater?
Is that the best you can do?
Alright then call me a beater if you want, just don't confuse me with the beta testers anymore and I'm good.

Kirito then equips his item drop he got from the boss, The Cloak of Midnight.
(Kisame and Kirito both got drops because they killed the boss at the same time.)

(Kirito): When Kisame and myself get up to floor 2, we'll activate the teleport gate, if any of you wanna follow us that's cool but the height up to the main square ain't easy, there's a mob hiding in a field and with your XP your as good as dead.

Kirito then walks towards the stairs where Kisame went and passes Asuna giving her a warm smile as he passes by, causing the girl to chase him down near the stairs.

(Asuna): Wait!
When we were fighting the boss, you called me by my name
(Kirito): I wasn't trying to be rude, did I mess up the pronunciation?
(Asuna): How did you even know it?
(Kirito): If you look right about here, there's 2 HP gauge's right under yours, there's a name written right next to each one, yeah?

Kirito then gestures towards his name causing Asuna to look at it.

(Asuna): Ki-ri-to
Kirito.
Your name's Kirito?
(Kirito): Yeah, I'm sure you heard Kisame say it a couple of times.

Asuna then giggles a little.

(Asuna): I'm so dumb, there were 2 of them there the whole time and I never knew.
(Kirito): You can become powerful here on your own, take Kisame for example, but if the day comes where someone you trust invites you to a guild, don't turn it down, cause there are limits to what a solo player can do.
(Asuna): But, you and Kisame are solo.

Kirito then walks off and dissolves the party following Kisame onto the next floor.
