Chapter 22: Kiss on the cheek

So far Jet's first day at his brand new preschool was going very well than expected. He spent most of the day learning, playing, and interacting in the class with Miss Belltale's help. Most importantly he got along great with all of his classmates who were very nice to him. Right now it was recess time and all of the anthro kids including Jet ran out into the open playground behind the school building.

Immediately all of the kids happily ran to their desired playground activities. Jump roping, hop scotching, sandbox digging, 4 square ball bouncing, going down slides, ect. Jet on the other hand stood and watched as all the kids his age were having fun while he contemplated on where he should start.

"Hmmm...All of this is new two me. I don't know how to play any of these games." Jet thought

Suddenly one of his classmates came running up to him. It was the anthro wolf girl by the name Melody.

Melody was a white furred arctic wolf with pretty blue eyes and long eyelashes. Her outfit consisted of a light pink t-shirt with girly heart prints on the front, a short blue skirt with a hole for her tail, black leggings underneath, and sparkly bejeweled sneakers on her feet. On top of everything, she had a cute purple bow clipped next to her right ear.

"Hey Jet! Watchu doin?" Melody asked with a bright smile

"Oh!...Hello Melody. I'm ummm...just trying to choose on what I could do on this playground." Jet answered

"Oh really? Hey why don't you come and play with us?" Melody smiled

"Us?"

"Yes! Me, Abigail, and Adrian!" Melody said as she took Jet's hand

"Oh umm..okay!" Jet happily accepted

"Great! Come with me!" Melody said as she dragged Jet along towards a nearby bench where the bunny girl, Abigail and the border collie boy, Adrian sat

Abigail was a brown eyed white furred bunny with grey spots all over herself. She was wearing a yellow summer dress with sandals on her bunny feet. Adrian on the other hand was a basic black and white border collie who was also brown eyed. He wore a green t-shirt with a lightning bolt design on the front, grey skater cargo shorts, wicked colorful sneakers, and a flat brim cap backwards on his head.

"Hey guys! Jet here is gonna play with us!" Melody said as she came up to them with Jet next to her

"Oh Wonderful! I was wanting to play with the new kid!" Abigail smiled as she got up to greet Jet

"What's up Jet. How's it hanging? You liking it here?" Adrian said in a cool kid tone as he did an arm wrestle style handshake with Jet

"Yeah i'm liking it so much!" Jet answered happily

"Awww you're so cute and fluffy!" Abigail smiled as she sweetly caressed Jet's furry wolf cheeks with her fingertips

This caused Jet to blush very hard and wag his tail as he blissfully let the bunny girl pet his fluffy wolf face.

"Teehehe! He's wagging!" Melody giggled at the cute interaction

"Hehehe Dude really." Adrian chuckled

After the friendly introductions between each other, Jet and his 3 friends/classmates played a fun game of 4 square with a ball.

Meanwhile

After having their lovely lunch meal together, Mr. Wolf and Diane were now walking on the boardwalk along the beach with the sounds of waves gently splashing in the background. They held hands as they enjoyed their afternoon together.

"Don't you just love hearing the sounds of the ocean?" Wolf asked nicely

"I sure do...but not as much as I love hearing your sweet & charming voice you handsome canine." Diane smiled as she leaned her head on Wolf's shoulder

"Hehehe. Well aren't you quite the flattering fox." Wolf blushed

"*giggles* Yep I can be flattering. Your tail agrees two." Diane pointed out

"My what?" Wolf looks behind himself and finds his tail wagging on its own again

This time Wolf doesn't bother to stop his tail. He just lets it wag as it wants to.

"Ugh I think I gotta duct tape my tail." Wolf groaned sarcastically

"*giggles* Oh Wolf." Diane giggled

Suddenly an alarm tone goes off on Diane's phone. Diane takes out her phone and checks it. The screen indicated 2:30 PM which is the cue for her to pick Jet up from his preschool.

"Oh my. It's time for me to go pick up Jet from school." Diane said

"Already? Wow time really flies." Wolf acknowledged

Diane puts away her phone and faces Wolf grabbing both of his hands.

"Well Wolf I just wanna say thank you so much for this sweet lunch date. It really made my day." Diane smiled warmly

"The pleasure's all mine. Perhaps we could do this again another time but differently?" Wolf asked

"I would love that." Diane said

Suddenly without a word, Wolf gently cups Diane's face kisses her on the cheek causing her to blush pink through her fur.

There was 4 seconds of silence.

"What...was that?" Diane asked with a disbelief expression

Thinking he made a wrong move, Wolf instantly regretted his action and tried to come up with a proper response.

"Uh it was uhh just a kiss...just to be uhh *gulp* friendly. I sorry I didn't think you uhh-"

However Diane cuts him off by cupping his face and kissing him back on his cheek happily returning the favor.

"*Mwah* Thanks. I needed that. Well I gotta get going now. Can't keep my pup waiting." Diane smiled

A huge wave a relief washed over Wolf as they finally parted ways.

"Bye Bye! I'll see you later wolf!" Diane waved as she walked off.

"Yeah hehe see you round." Wolf blushed as he waved back

Once Diane was away and out of sight, Wolf took the chance to silently jump up and down and throw his fists in sheer celebration from the kiss.

Meanwhile back at the preschool

It was now go home time as all the anthro kids were packing up in class and leaving.

"Bye Jet! I'll see you tomorrow!" Melody said as she gave Jet a quick hug before running out of the classroom with her backpack on

Jet goes back to packing his backpack on his desk when Miss Belltale came up to him and knelt down to him.

"So Jet did you enjoy your first day here?" Belltale smiled

"Mmmhmm. I already love it here and...I'm honestly sad that I have to go now. I was having so much fun." Jet frowned as he zipped up his backpack and threw it on himself

"Awww don't worry you'll be here tomorrow and everyday. You heard Melody. Now since this is your first day here, would you like me to walk you out? Your mommy is waiting." Belltale offered nicely

"Okay. I would like that." Jet accepted as he let his anthro squirrel teacher escort him through the hallways towards the entrance of the school

After making it to the front door, Jet walks outside and finds his adoptive fox mom happily waiting for him in front of the school much to his joy.

"MOMMY!" Jet shouted as he ran up to her

"Hey there's my little pup! Come here!"

Diane knelt down with her arms open and caught Jet in a big loving mommy hug.

"Mommy I missed you!" Jet bursted in joy

"Oh I missed you two sweetheart!" Diane said before planting a hundred kisses all over her pup's face

Miss Belltale smiled as she watched the loving moment between the two.

After the hugs and kisses with Jet, Diane put him back down on the ground had a quick chat with his teacher.

"So did he do alright on his first day?" Diane asked

"Oh He had such a wonderful time. All the kids liked him. And I have to say it is a great pleasure to be having your son in my class Miss governor Foxington." Belltale smiled

"Awww thank you. And I really appreciate you helping out my pup." Diane smiled

"Indeed. Now I have to get back inside to grade some papers. It was really nice meeting you and I will see your pup tomorrow." Belltale said

"Alright take care." Diane waved

With that, the anthro squirrel teacher turns and goes back inside the school leaving Diane and Jet alone.

"Alright sweety ready to go home and have some delicious dinner and tell me about your day?" Diane asked her adoptive pup

"Yeah but...where's your car?" Jet asked noticing Diane's car wasn't around

"Oh we're not going home in my car sweety. We're going home on this."

Diane reaches behind her back and out of thin air, she takes out a small white case.

"Huh? What's that?" Jet asked confused

"Watch this."

Diane throws the case and it quickly opens up and transforms into her electric speed bike. Next Diane rips off all her clothes revealing her black Crimson Paw outfit underneath.

"WOAH!" Jet said in amazement feeling lucky to have such a cool mom

"Pretty stunning right? Now let's ride!" Diane smiled as she hopped on her bike and scooped up Jet making him sit in front of her

Diane takes out a toddler size motorbike helmet and slips it on Jet's head before grabbing the throttle handle.

"Hold on tight sweety." Diane said before twisting the throttle making the bike speed away from the school and down the street with its electric motor whining much to Jet's excitement.
