Glamping Road Trip

Writer's Month 2023

Percy was so excited for this camping trip. It was his first summer break now that he was a college student and somehow he had ended up being invited to a camping trip with Beckendorf and Silena. The couple had been talking about their plans and Percy had expressed a certain amount of envy because a road trip through the states with a camper sounded so fun and he'd always wanted to travel for non-quest-related reasons. And then Silena had smiled at him and invited him along.

Definitely not going to question that. Don't look a gift horse in the mouth.

And in this case, the gift horse was not only a free vacation, but a free vacation with his crushes.

Because Percy had had a crush on both Beckendorf and Silena since the Titan War already. When he had been a little doe-eyed kid, barely just presented as an omega. Totally overwhelmed by the big, strong, handsome and kind alpha, and his beautiful, sweet and caring omega. His pansexual awakening was having a crush on both, and it had made his head implode when they got together.

He'd been happy for them, of course. It had also crushed him a bit though. But then he'd known he stood no chance, they were older than him, he was the hottest alpha at camp (even if he wouldn't agree to it), and she was an omega. Omega/omega relationships were so rare, and why would Silena want to be with another omega when she could have the hottest alpha around?

A car horn tore through Percy's thoughts and when he looked up, he saw a giant camper pull up in front of him, Beckendorf leaning out of the driver's window with a grin.

"Hey there, wanna hitch a ride?"

Percy looked at the camper. This… was not what he'd imagined. It was huge. And pink.

"Let me guess: Silena picked the car…?"

"And I can't say no to her," Beckendorf chuckled. "You need help with your stuff?"

Before he had finished speaking, he opened the door and was out of the driver's seat. He was wearing a tank-top and oh, wow, that really showed off his strong arms and hugged his chest well. Percy tried not to stare, and he failed spectacularly. Thankfully enough, Beckendorf was too busy taking care of his luggage, grabbing Percy's suitcase to carry it off and load it into the camper.

This was a spectacularly bad idea, Percy knew it deep down. Three months in a camper with the two people he had a crush on, who were also in a committed relationship. But he'd missed them so much, they were at college and Percy had been busy finishing high school and then starting college, and they were rarely at camp at the same time. So this was good, and bad.

"Pe—ercy!" Silena's voice pitched high as she ran up to him to hug him. "I'm so happy you're coming along! Are you packed? Do you have everything?"

"I think I am covered," Percy smiled. "And thanks for having me. You know, being a college student feels so different from being a high schooler? So I'm kinda really looking forward to this vacation. It was such a stressful first year and this feels… special."

He couldn't help but flush a little, hoping he wasn't giving away just how special it was. Instead, he focused on Silena. And on her scent. Getting hugged by her meant getting to smell her. The daughter of Aphrodite always wore perfume and it wasn't bad, but it also wasn't as good as Silena's natural scent. Sweet like raspberries and roses and Percy loved that scent. Which was weird, he knew that. An omega loving another omega. Percy shook his head and followed Silena inside.

"...Wow," Percy blinked slowly. "This is… I… uh… Wow."

"Yes!" Silena clapped her hands together, a proud smile on her lips. "It's gorgeous, isn't it?"

It was state of the art everything. So spacious. A fully stocked kitchen that looked better than the kitchen in Percy's current shoe-box of an apartment. In the back, a dining corner with a wooden table. A big TV too, nice touch. A pull-down latter that led upstairs where Percy suspected the sleeping areas to be located. Beckendorf climbed back down from it.

"I put your suitcase up," Beckendorf stated. "Want a tour?"

"Nah, I think I'll check the upstairs out when I need a nap," Percy shrugged, looking around. "This is… the most luxurious camper I have ever seen."

"The bathroom is nice too," Silena opened a door opposite the kitchen area. "Look."

The last camper Percy had seen had such a crowded layout that you were basically sitting on the toilet and being in the shower at the same time. But here, there was actual space, a proper showering cabin. Percy whistled impressed.

"Not gonna lie, this was not what I expected when you said a road-camping-trip."

"Oh, oh I am not sleeping in a tent on the ground," Silena shook her head. "I grew up in a summer camp, I finally moved out of there and my idea of a good vacation is definitely not a repeat of my childhood. Also, I am too old to sleep on the ground. No, no, no, this is a glamping trip!"

Percy blinked and turned to exchange a look with Beckendorf, who chuckled fondly. "I'm actually thinking the same thing. We didn't work hard to get our own apartment to sleep in the forest and cook over open fire. Or did you want tents and improvised cooking?"

Wiggling his nose, Percy looked around one more time. "No, no. This is fine. More than fine."

"Okay," Charles clapped him on the back. "I suggest we take turns behind the wheel during the day, then park somewhere to rest together for the night? Until we reach one of our destinations. Seems safer than driving through taking turns, someone will get tired behind the wheel otherwise."

"Sounds good to me," Percy nodded.

"Great," Beckendorf smiled, resting a hand on Percy's shoulder. "I'll drive first, mh?"

"And Percy will catch us up on his life," Silena declared, grasping Percy's other shoulder to steer him toward the car seats in the front. "Sit, tell us everything."

Percy laughed, near bashful. "The semester really wasn't that eventful."

"Nonsense," Silena's smile widened. "Everything, Percy! How did your exams go, did you meet anyone interesting new since we last talked, how are your parents?"

"The exams went… eh…" Percy made a vague hand-gesture. "I, uh? I didn't meet any new people? Not that I'd remember anyone who, ya know, stuck around? I met new people at parties and stuff, but didn't stay in contact, I guess. And mom and Paul are great, they send their best."

"They did send their best, they sent you," Silena winked at him.

There was no fighting that blush. Why did the daughter of Aphrodite have to be so flirty? Not that he minded – Beckendorf didn't mind and he was her mate – but when she flirted with him, who he was so utterly in love with her? That rendered him completely useless.

They parked when it was too dark to comfortably, safely drive and shared a nice dinner that Silena had prepared while Beckendorf rested and Percy drove. It had been nice, to sit with both omegas and share a meal. It was also nice how Percy's presence quickly spread his scent all throughout the camper. Strawberries and the salty sea. Beckendorf had always liked raspberries and strawberries, and he personally thought they went quite well together.

"O—Oh," Percy drawled that out a little too long. "Ka—ay."

The entire upper level – lower than the downstairs – was one big bedroom. The bed-area was in the middle of it, a couch-like area at the front, where the windows allowed for the beautiful view. Low shelves and boxes served as wardrobes and nightstands, leaving little of the floor empty. The couch was barely above the floor, to sit on and look out at the changing scenery during the drive. And though the sleeping area was large, there was only one.

"You don't mind, do you?" Silena asked softly, resting a hand on Percy's lower back. "I thought one big nest would be the best. And we got the camper before we invited you."

"Right," Percy nodded, looking toward the pseudo-couch.

"Nonsense," Silena spoke before Percy could even head that way. "The bed is big enough! It'll be a regular slumber party. And it'll be much more cozy too."

"Ri—ight," Percy nodded once more, unsure what to say.

Silena happily wiggled her nose as she woke up to the scent of strawberries and the sea. Said nose was buried in soft, black hair. Her arms were wrapped around Percy's middle as she hugged him like a cute teddy bear. He had the most pleasant scent Silena had ever smelt on another omega. Usually, other omegas were too sweet for Silena's liking. But Percy? He had that sea-salt edge and it made him smell simply divine. Personally, Silena also thought it went well with Charlie's charcoal and metal scent. Though that may also just be because she liked both of them and liked the idea of them together, in general. Her alpha and her omega. Ideally, anyway.

She was very much aware that Percy wasn't hers. Not yet, at least. This trip was going to change things though. Percy had grown so much from the doe-eyed, unpresented little kid that she had taken under her wing all these years ago. Now, two wars behind them, Percy had graduated high school, was a college student himself. He was an adult now, and that showed too. He'd grown up a lot, emotionally and physically. The first time he'd been back to camp after he'd left for college, she had been too stunned to say anything. Such a gorgeous omega he'd grown into.

There was no doubt in her mind anymore. Percy Jackson had to be hers. She was willing to share with her Charlie, of course. Only with him though. Otherwise, she was quite possessive.

"Good morning," Silena whispered when she noticed Percy was awake. "How did you sleep?"

"Good," Percy cleared his throat flustered. "Yeah. Better than expected considering we're like on the floor? But I guess this is a luxury camper."

"Glamping in style," Silena was pleased that he liked her pick.

Big, sea-green doe-eyes stared at her. "...Glamping?"

"Glamour camping! Glamping," Silena grinned brightly. "I'll make breakfast, why don't you stay in bed a little longer?"

Before sitting up, she pressed a kiss to his cheek. Charlie seemed to actually still be asleep and she wanted him to get the chance to wake up with Percy in his arms too.

"This is breathtaking," Percy was gaping at the view.

They'd parked the camper in a park, surrounded by tall, dark trees, near a gorgeous, azure lake. Silena and Beckendorf came to stand behind him on either side. Their hands were linked behind Percy's back and they exchanged a soft smile. They were just about to say something to Percy when he pulled his shirt over his head, threw it aside and started unbuttoning his pants. After shrugging them off and kicking off his shoes, Percy ran straight for the lake.

"...Ah," Silena smiled to herself, covering her mouth. "I think we should have anticipated that."

"We put the son of Poseidon in front of water," Charlie huffed. "Yeah."

With a splash did Percy break the surface. After what would have been concerningly long for a normal mortal did Percy resurface again. He looked at them with a bright smile, waving.

"Come! The water is amazing! And the fishes are really nice too!"

Silena's smile turned into full laughter at that. The fishes were nice. How was this boy still so… pure? After everything he had been through, the trauma and horror of two nearly world ending wars, he could still look at the world with bright eyes and wonder and see it for its small miracles.

Exchanging another look with Charlie, she started to strip down to her underwear too. There was nobody else anywhere close by so why not? Her adorable alpha looked flustered, so she kissed him one last time before she ran into the water to join Percy.

"Come on, Charlie," Silena called out, swimming around Percy. "It is nice."

Of course was it nice, it was a beautiful lake filled with the two omegas who held his heart. Beckendorf was quick to follow them. The water was very soothing after all the driving. It had been a couple days now that they'd been crammed up in the camper. As luxurious as it was, it was still limiting space. This open clearing, this large lake, it was gorgeous.

"Thanks again, for taking me along," Percy spoke up after a while, drifting in the water and staring up into the sky. "I really needed a vacation. And this is… perfect."

"Yeah," Beckendorf looked at Percy with a gentle gaze. "Yeah, it's perfect."

Silena grinned knowingly at him. There was so much about her that he loved, most of all that she understood him. Even when he didn't speak often and wasn't a great conversationalist as a teen, she had always heard him. She understood what he wanted. In this particular case, she understood that he wanted Percy, she understood because she wanted him too.

It was frighteningly easy to get used to sleeping in Silena and Beckendorf's arms. And traveling to beautiful places, sightseeing and exploring new cities. No exploring today though. Percy sat curled together in the back of the camper in the dinner seating area, staring longingly out of the window. It was raining. No, pouring. The clouds were the darkest gray, the wind kept picking up.

"Charlie," Silena called out, sounding concerned. "That's… not just rain, that's a full-blown storm at this point. Let's pull over at the next possible stop?"

Percy made a soft, involuntary whining noise. No—o. It wasn't even afternoon properly yet! If they pulled over for the day, that meant more time stuck in the camper. Percy was not an indoors cat. The next moment, a hot mug was held out in front of him. Turning, he looked at Silena.

"Here. Hot chocolate is the best for a rainy day. Now scoot over."

Percy obeyed and gratefully took a sip from the very delicious hot chocolate. It even had tiny blue heart-shaped marshmallows in them! Without meaning to, he started purring pleased. Silena laughed at that, though she sounded pleased. She sat snuggled up to him, with a mug of her own in her hands. He noted that hers had hearts in various colors. Which meant that she had specifically picked out only blue ones for him. A blush darkened his cheeks at that.

The van stopped and moments later, Charles came to sit next to Silena. He stretched an arm out on the backrest, his hand reaching out to caress Percy's neck. The gentle touch only made his involuntary purring pick up some more. That was one thing he'd never really gotten the hang of, after first presenting. He purred when he felt content and happy.

"How about we lower the table and put the cushions up, make this a cozy corner and watch some movies tonight?" Beckendorf suggested softly. "I think we could use the break too, we've been driving for the past two days now, with only a break for sleep."

"Yeah, yeah, I guess," Percy's eyes wandered to the rain one last time.

But once they had the seating area adjusted, Beckendorf came with hot popcorn, and the three of them curled together, Percy's scorn with the weather faded, until the rain even became a pleasant background noise to a beautiful evening. Percy fell asleep with his head on Beckendorf's chest.

/break\

Today had been a slightly exhausting day of running around Seattle – sightseeing, shopping, dinner, a little more sight seeing. By the end of the day, Beckendorf found himself carrying one of his omegas. Percy had fallen asleep. Though Silena wasn't doing much better, she was heavily leaning against him with her eyes half-closed too. The two of them managed their way back to the camper somehow, with Beckendorf carefully placing Percy on the sitting area. There was no way he could carry Percy upstairs. Thankfully, Silena was still awake enough to pull the table down and put the cushions up again. Once Percy was down, Silena joined him and curled around him. Beckendorf smiled faintly as he heard her purr. She rarely purred. Unlike Percy, who very instinctively and openly purred. Something that Beckendorf had grown very fond of since this vacation started.

"I guess we're sleeping down here tonight," Charles chuckled and joined them.

After kicking off his own shoes, he carefully removed Percy's and then Silena's. The two omegas looked far too precious all cuddled up to each other like that. He couldn't help but kiss her and then place a gentle kiss on Percy's forehead. Heavy eyelids fluttered open and sea-green eyes stared up at him, curious and sleepy. A lazy smile spread over Percy's lips and he snuggled up to Charles, purring loudly. Flustered, Beckendorf wrapped an arm around Percy to pull him closer.

"You're very cuddly," Beckendorf whispered.

"You're very good for cuddling," Percy countered in a sleepy voice.

"That is very true," Silena chimed in. "You are good for cuddling, Charlie."

She had her arms around Percy's waist, spooning him from behind and resting her head on Beckendorf's shoulder. All he could do was smile hopelessly at her. What was an alpha supposed to do when he had both his beloved omegas in his arms like that?

"I love you two," Beckendorf whispered, not meant to be heard.

Percy jerked awake all of a sudden, staring wide-eyed at him. "Two. You just said two."

Damn, even for an omega, those were some sharp ears. Panicked, Beckendorf looked at Silena for guidance. What he got in return was a shrug. He'd said the words. There was no putting them back again, the daughter of Aphrodite knew that better than most.

"Yes," Silena spoke with confidence. "He loves us both. And I love the two of you."

Percy's eyes were comically wide as he stared from one of them toward the other. So both the alpha he liked and the omega he liked liked him back? His brain took a full minute to compute that.

"I love you two too," Percy whispered. "It's why I came to this trip with you."

"Good," Silena smiled brightly, leaning in to gently kiss him. "Very good."

Beckendorf grunted his agreement as he grasped Percy's chin to tilt his head up to kiss him too.

Author's note: Day 2 of Writer's Month inexplicably screamed Silena Beauregard for me and who am I to deny one of my all time favorite OT3s? It's been SO LONG since I last wrote them! I'm happy that I got this done in time :3
