Disclaimer: I don't own Sword Art Online.

"I'm the best!" Kirito bragged, his voice filled with pride. "The greatest fighter in the whole virtual world!"

The Black Swordsman grinned as he swung his weapon through the air. It had been with him every step of the way on the treacherous journeys he'd embarked on through Sword Art Online. It was no walk in the park to get through the video game where death meant losing your life in the real world. That was why Kirito had always kept his sword by his side, fighting off any lethal threats he was faced with.

"It's thanks to this sword I was able to clear Aincrad and beat the game!" Kirito boasted. "Every survivor trapped in SAO was able to return to the real world, because of me!"

"Don't forget, Kirito," Asuna exclaimed, "that I was fighting alongside you through the game!"

"You were - but it was I who was able to save everyone's lives, including yours!" Kirito smiled as he held his sword in front of his face. "There will never be another weapon like this one - and I was clearly the right person to use it to clear the game."

Asuna sighed and stared out into the night from the balcony of their cabin, where she had come to look at the stars with her husband. He had instead taken it as an opportunity to remind her for the hundredth time how he had beaten Sword Art Online. Making it through the game of death and freeing all the other players had clearly gone to Kirito's head.

Turning her back to her husband, Asuna shook her head. She loved Kirito with all her heart - but there were times when he needed her to bring him down to Earth. This was one of those times.

"Well y'know, Kirito, I do know of a weapon much more powerful than your sword…" she murmured. "Those who are faced with it instantly cower in fear at the terrifying sight of it…"

"Oh really?" The Black Swordsman raised an eyebrow, smirking in his disbelief that what he wore was speaking of existing. "And what is this weapon which you claim is far greater than my sword, Asuna?"

At that moment, Asuna swung around - and Kirito's sneer disappeared as he let out a frightened squeak.

The brunette girl was sending a fierce glare towards the dark-haired boy. Her sweet face was scrunched into a frown as she narrowed her brown eyes. She fixed them directly onto Kirito. Her voice was low as she uttered a single word which turned his blood to ice.

"Staaaaaaaaaarrrrrrrrrreeeeeeeeee!"

"Eep!"

Kirito trembled. His wife could be so scary when she was angry. Not wanting to feel her wrath, he staggered backwards before slipping off his feet to fall onto the balcony's wooden cry. A cry escaped him as he scrambled to his feet, disappearing quickly through the nearby door to hide himself inside the cabin.

Having gotten her point across to her husband with her unique special weapon, Asuna's glare disappeared, replaced by a bright smile as she let off a cheerful giggle.

"And that is why the stare is mightier than the sword!"
