Hello, hello, hello my ever lovely and ever loyal peeps!

Okay, long story short, i'm one of the people that have lost power and i'm only able to write this chapter up is thanks to this being a labtop and a very, very good generator that i bought for an ice storm, not a windstorm. So i'm going to make this short and sweet, at least get something done today, cause were not expected to get power back until Tuseday and it'll drive me crazy if i don't get something done today, so enjoy this short interlude. As always i own nothing.

So please read, review and "What the fuc-BOOM"

Interlude: A Favor From An Old Friend

Location Unknown

"Oooowwwww."

Xero felt a monster headache wrack his skull, attempting to make his skull cave in but for some reason, it wouldn't. Goddess, the last time he felt this bad was when...oh hell, how could he choose when they're being so many times, he felt like death had steam rolled him. Because he had plenty of those!

Rubbing his head, he finally looked around, "Where am i?" The room or place he was in was most certainly not Freddy's green room. In fact he was no longer in the Pizzaplex at all! He was in some sort of white, endless void. Most people would probably be either freaking out, wondering if they were in some sort of Purgatory but not Xero.

He had been in many wired, strange and outright insane situations, so he was able to keep his cool, but he had an idea of what was going on. Someone from beyond the grave wanted to talk to him. Possible to give him information, warn him of a grave threat he wasn't aware of and given it was Fazbear Entertainment and Afton he was dealing with, he was more than willingly to listen to any info he could get on the bastard.

He hoped so, seeing as Afton clearly has a plan and he, like a damned fool, walked right into his trap.

"But who wants to talk to me at this point in time?" Xero wondered out loud to himself. Perhaps one of the missing children that had died at Afton's head or maybe-

"I swear, you never change Xero but that's not such a bad thing."

His eyes widen as he heard a familiar but much more mature voice, as his heart stopped for a second and his breath caught in his throat. Could it be? Could it actually be...

Xero turned around and sure enough, he saw his old friend, Charlotte "Charlie" Emily, as a fully grown woman smiling at him. The girl whom was his first friend, had certainly aged well, seeing as she stood at a proud 5'10 foot tall, unusually tall for a female, with long brown hair that reached past her shoulders, soft brown eyes and fair skin. She had certainly grown into her womanly body, not exactly having a body like Medusa or Artoria Lancer but she wasn't exactly as petite as Maria. No, she looked like a blend between Medea and Anastasia, a perfect balance between cute and sexy.

Even if she wore a green coat, with a black shirt, brown pants and shoes to complete her outfit.

His feet moved without his mind telling him too, as he enveloped his first friend in a hug, as the brown-haired woman gave him an equally tight hug, smiling all the while as she did so.

"I missed you, Charlie." Xero said without even thinking, "Charlie, i, I'm sorry."

"I know."

"I didn't know who Afton really was."

"No one did."

"And i...i couldn't save you, i couldn-"

"Don't blame yourself Xero." The brown-haired woman patted his back, "You were just a child back then, as was i. You need to let this survivor's guilt go and understand that my death was NOT. ON. YOU. Do you understand?" She even added a glare to that statement, as Xero nodded, making her smile again, as she pulled away, "Good. Now listen, we don't have much time. Xero, you are right, Afton is back. I cannot say why but he's not only back, but he has help from the world of the living. For years, I've been trying to protect and guide the lost souls of Afton's victims but when my father finally killed him, i was able to finally move onto the afterlife. Now, the reason why I'm here now, is because Afton was able to escape hell and back into the world of the living. I am no longer able to help those who had perished at Afton's and his helper's hand but when you passed out, i was able to make contact with you."

"Because I'm a Magus and a master?"

"Yes. Because you already can summon spirits of the dead, i was allowed to speak with you now."

Why and how now lingered in Xero's mind but he said nothing, as his old friend said, they don't have much time. So he needed to ask, "What do i need to do to end this nightmare, Charlie?"

"First, i know it's tempting but don't hurt the bunny lady chasing Gregory. She is helping Afton but not of her own friend will, she is as much a victim as the children are. Second, inside the Pizzaplex, you will find an arcade game known as 'Princess Quest' it's important you play each one to completion and no, i cannot say why. I can only give you an idea on what to do, sorry." Xero sighed deeply at Charlie's apologetic smile.

Yeah, that sounded about right, if there was one thing Xero has learned is that helpful ghosts aren't as helpful as you could hope for.

"Stupid rules about not being able to directly interact with the world of the living."

But rules were rules and getting nuggets of information that would lead him to the answers were better than getting nothing at all.

"Okay, i get that Charlie but what do i need to do in order to stop Afton?" Xero repeated his question, as he felt his consciousness starting to come back, pulling him back into the real world and if the woman in front of him had answers to defeat Afton, if only a hint he needed to know,

Now.

"I will but first, Gregory is more special and important than you realize and someone you NEED to keep him out of Afton's hands." Xero raised an eyebrow, okay he was planning to do that anyway but to tell him to do it, made him a bit suspicious of the boy. Just what was his role in all this and was he just a child being hunted by Afton or was there something more going on? "In the Roxy Raceway, there is a hidden passage that leads to an underground arena that holds the answers you seek." The Magus snorted at Charlie's answer, Goddess he sometimes fucking hated the fragile rules their reality, least it all spiral into chaos on both sides of living and the dead. Even if he understood the reasons why they were in place, Charlie was already bending the rules as it was, he might as well get whatever information he could get, "Find it Xero but be careful when you go down into the darkness, there is more than death down there. The agony of the tragedies has not yet faded and are still down there. Stewing in their anger."

Agony.

A word no one would really think too much on but knowing what he knew, about the remnant, Xero now understood that the pain Afton caused his victims had not faded. Even if he didn't know very much, he knew enough that whatever was down in the darkness, it would be dangerous.

PING

Suddenly a bright light blinded Xero, causing him to cover his eyes, as he felt himself get pulled back to the real world. It was sudden, rough and he didn't have time to react, as he was pulled back to the world of the living, he heard Charlie's final words, as the scene before him shifted one last time, to show a metal door with a metal, clawed hand attempting to it's way out:

"There is more going on here then you realize."

Then his world went black one final time.

Done.

Okay, so established a bit of some needed information and a reason why Xero and Gregory would play the Princess Quests to free Vanessa from Glitchtrap's control. And yes, there are rules between the world of the living and the world of the dead that Charlie was bending in order to get him critical need to know information but can't outright say.

All i can say it's the da rules and we all hate da rules.

Oh who am i kidding, it's simply because that would be far too easy if she told him all he needed to know. All she could do is give him a lead in order to find the answers he seeks. So hopefully the power will come back on sooner rather than later and remember, i wrote this just so i won't go stir crazy sitting in this dark house with nothing to do, when i can indeed write but not write as comfortable as i can.

So see you next chapter my lovely peeps, hopefully i will be able to include how Tony is handling he has a son out there and how several other organizations, certain groups, are affected by not just Xero but Chaldea existing as well. Along with the BSAA of course, the T-virus bio attacks and the fact monsters exist as well with the UN and Chaldea trying to keep it all under wraps, least panic grip the people's hearts.

Find out by keep reading!

Devil out.
