Mayor Richard 'I just want be a giant snake' Wilkins done got himself blown up! Along with the High School that was literally sitting on top of a doorway to Hell. And hey, he done ate Principal 'the troll' Snyder, before doing so.
So how do we celebrate this momentous occasion, you might ask?
By throwing a great big, American, English and Romani combined wedding celebration for Rupert 'the Ripper' Giles and Jenny 'the undercover gypsy' Calender, that's how! Details to follow.
It began with Giles nervously asking Jenny to marry him and presenting her with his grandmother's ring.
It continued with her joyful acceptance and happily showing off the ring to everyone in the group.
Next came Enyos Kalderash paying a visit to Giles to determine if he was good enough to marry his niece. He made him jump through several hoops to prove his worthiness. Not literally of course, although perhaps there were some. After all, we are talking about a man who's adherence to tradition made Quentin Travers' looked like a new fangled fad. It was while the Pack was describing their revenge on Faith's behalf against the Council and Enyo's was laughing uproariously, that Enyos decided Giles was good enough. If he was the patriarch of a group that could do that to the Watchers Council, than he was good enough in Enyos' book. After all the Clans had had their own run-ins with the Council and really, really did not like them, at all. Have I mentioned they don't like them?
Enyos' approval was an enormous relief to Jenny, as that same adherence to tradition would have put her at odds with the Clan. It may even have meant exile from the Clan. Going against the traditions and beliefs of one's people isn't nearly as easy some might think.
Enyos stayed in town and took a room at the Sunnydale Arms, yes the same Sunnydale Arms that Quentin Travers and group had stayed at. Taking over enemy territory you could say. He stayed because Giles proposed on June 20th and some how the group convinced him that since Jenny was a U.S. citizen and their marriage would make him a citizen as well, that they should get married on the fourth of July. Jenny thought it was a great idea.
Cordelia promptly dragged all of the girls to Los Angeles to find dresses and a wedding dress for Jenny. Followed by threatening Giles with her blades if he didn't take all the guys, including Enyos, to Los Angeles to get tuxes. Giles obeyed, wouldn't you?
The girls decorated Cordelia's family's pool house and Enyo's tearfully gave the bride away. Followed by the honeymoon. No, there will be no details discussed regarding said honeymoon. However, it will be noted that Faith made sure the handcuffs from the Band Candy incident were tucked into Jenny's suitcase.
