The next day came and long gone was whatever that swung at Lizzies was.

He Would Get over it.

He Always did.

Right now was setting up his Ripping chair and had all his equipment and gear to get to work immediately.

Opened up his laptop taking it off the charger and let it go through its own set up and diagnostic of himself because his laptop was connected to him so it's default settings will always show up with his Diagnostics and status first.

Getting into a blank state and connecting it to his Kiroshi optics that way he can examine his patients.

He saw the bright yellow light in the screen showing he had messages but he wasn't going to answer them.

If the fuckers really wanted to talk to him they would ring him on the holo and actually talk to him.

So now all he waited for was some bone heads to show up.

"Yo" spoke a voice he heard yesterday as it was Marcus.

"Ah if it isn't Mr.Tough Guy" spoke Rich as he put on a fake smirk.

"Doc I need some advi-" spoke Marcus as he was all frazzled.

"The only thing that talks in this room is Ed's, so get some work done or scram" said Rich as he knew that Marcus gets really worried and can't present himself well when he needs to tell someone off bat.

"That's the thing Doc, I got a big job coming up and I need Tech to pull me up so I can live to see the Ed's afterward" Spoke Marcus as he was sweating bullets.

"What kinda heat are you expecting" spoke Rich as he put on his serious face.

"Arasoka" spoke Marcus as he gulped the stress of that he wouldn't make it coming at full trench.

"Kid, naturally I would tell you to skip out on the job, but you already know the danger ahead, so what's your reason" spoke Rich as he slid off his Punk Coat.

"My sister is graduating from college, the whole reason I joined up 3 years ago was to pay for her classes" spoke Marcus putting his hands together and bringing them up to his head.

"And you want to go to the graduation ceremony, where is it going down" spoke Rich.

"Uni of Texas at Austin" spoke Marcus.

"Good"

"This is your oppurtunity to never come back to NC, I'll give some of the best Tech I have, but after this Job, you're done with Maelstrom" spoke Rich as he was being serious with him.

Marcus cleared his throat again as The Doc was giving him basically orders to succeed at the job and then get the fuck out of town.

"I also want you to meet up with one of are guys in the Arasoka Waterfront he dabbles in the Occult, get you used too the amount of Cybernetics and trained to properly use the shit I'm about to give you" spoke Rich as he was dead serious when it came to this.

"Now, Chair" spoke Rich as Marcus did so as the Magic Show was about to begin.

Blood stained his shirt, the sweat from 2 hours of precice carving had taken it's toll.

But it was worth it, because Marcus was not the only person in Maelstrom who simply used Maelstrom for ulterior motives.

Hell he approved of most of the young guns because they were willing to risk it all for a big return and they all have one mission.

To do what they need to so they can eventually get out of Night City.

Which was all the reason Rich needed to help them.

They don't understand how much of a feat it is to come to Night City and succeed and then leave.

That's fairy tail shit, yet he has been able to make it happen.

And he breaks it down to the insanity of Maelstrom because Belive it or not.

There was a Method to They're Madness and it was a thin line to walk between Brilliance and Suicide.

The Occult along with Cyberware is a daring pursuit and one that could push someone off the edge to Cyberpsychosis and beyond.

The overall goal of these rituals or experiments was to overcome Cyberpsychosis and grow an Immunity to it.

The Ultimate Goal is to be able to use as many Cybernetics as possible to they're fullest capacity and push the human mind and body beyond its stress and mental levels further beyond capable.

Instead of training your body to lift more weight or train your mind to hold more information.

These Rituals and Experiments were ment to train the body to handle Cyberware and push beyond the limits thought capable for Humans.

To be able to handle any amount of stress and not fall to Cyberpsychosis.

Most other gangs in Night City faulted Maelstrom for the Pursuit.

Believing it to be hokey and just more reason for Malestrom to further they're inhuman addiction to gore and violence.

The truth is that only those that survived the exerperiments and rituals were the benefitors of such.

And those were few and far between.

Those that have been part of Maelstrom for longer then 4 years understood that there was fruit to the endeavor and it wasn't just bullshit.

Dum Dum, Royce, Brick, Patricia, and even he himself had gone through the process and now had a relationship with Cybernetics to a degree that by themselves can cause mass Genocide in Night City alone.

He didn't from the get go belive in it but overtime he became a believer in the Dark Arts.

And ultimately the Supernatural became real to him and Religoius texts became an outlet for Wisdom and Advice.

The day was lost as time had become invalidated by his work.

It was a blessing to work with the youth because alot of newbies were sane and still had they're humanity.

He acted as a mentor to them, an outlet for they're thoughts and desires.

If Royce or Patricia ever found out what role he played for many of the recruits they would not hesitate to try to kill him.

What he was doing was in another form a way of possibility to create another faction within the already hostile group.

It was already bad that people took sides when it came to Royce and Patricia.

What they didn't need was another person trying to usurp power from them.

Even though that wasn't his goal, he just wanted the best for these kids.

Alot of them shouldn't be in Maelstrom, they shouldn't have to be aligned with the most sadistic and chaotic group in all Night City.

But circumstances are a bitch.

And at least he could be good to them and show them that there is a light at the end of the tunnel.

There's a way out.

Rich believed that, a way to be a good person in Night City.

To do good in Night City.

At least that was his Incentive.

To Be Continued.
