Pidge sat on the kitchen counter drumming her fingers, she had been waiting for the Doughnut Ninja to appear all night and she was growing sleepy. She was wearing the new stealth suit that she designed to make her not only invisible but also inaudible and intangible (to living organisms). Pidge grinned to herself when she heard footsteps approaching.
Turning she saw him, standing in the doorway still in his pajamas was Keith, headphones draped over his ears. His hair was a mess going every which way, his bangs were swept messily across his forehead or caught in the band of his headphones. His pajamas were red with white stripes and his shirt was hiked up on one side while it drooped on the other. His face, usually guarded and serious held a sleepy expression. When the music came on in his ears, he smiled slightly to himself and there was a twinkle in his eyes. Pidge however did not notice as she was too busy giggling about his appearance.
Settling down, Pidge watched as Keith got to work tying on an apron. Keith hummed along to his music as he started adding ingredients to the bowl. Pidge laughed as she watched Keith dance around the kitchen as he worked singing along to his favorite songs. She was caught up in his melodious voice as he skillfully sang along and danced to the music when Shiro entered the room. Surveying the sight before him, Shiro let out a small chuckle and smiled fondly at his brother. Slipping into the kitchen, Shiro grabbed a bottle of water and slipped back out.
Lance was on his way to the kitchen to try and catch the Doughnut Ninja when he saw Keith placing the doughnuts on the dining hall table. Upon seeing him Lance turned and fled not wanting to risk Keith's wrath.
As one song ended and another was about to begin Keith heard footsteps hastily retreating and spun around, but of course whoever it was had disappeared as he knew they had. The footsteps were too light to be Shiro's or Hunk's, but, of course, neither of them would have fled anyway. Neither would Coran. The footsteps weren't light enough to have been Pidge's, so it was either Lance or Allura. There was no way to tell which.
Allura walked into the security room to try the feed again, this time she found a program that set the feed on a prerecorded video. Allura examined it, the coding was well done and it was executed perfectly, but the way it was done was not even close to Pidge's level or even Hunk's. Whoever did it was clearly relying on logic and a very, very basic understanding of code. That being said, Lance was imminently ruled out. So, that left only Keith and Shiro. But based on the blank look Shiro had when Pidge was using coder jargon and what the other paladins said about his non existed kitchen skills that ruled him out. Therefore, by the process of elimination, it must have been Keith.
Hunk smiled to himself, he had left his homemade camera in the kitchen and had accidentally left it on record. So, Keith made the doughnuts. Who knew?
That morning there were no mentions of the Doughnut Ninja, now that everyone knew it was Keith. There was just one catch, no one knew that everyone knew and if Shiro teased Keith about what he saw, nobody else ever knew.
